Found 4 Rachio IRO Irrigation Controllers in a plain brown box in the overhead. These was no markings, no label, no sku. I should have waited till it hit a penny, but the orange shirts were in the store.

I put one on eBay and sold it in less than 24hrs. I saw (3) more at another store but I may hold off and see if they hit a penny. The ones in my area do not have a yellow tag on them but someone else posted one and it has a date of 12/16/15 on it. Wondering if it may drop on 2/16. :headscrat

They are also each in one of those big plastic security cases. haha

How much did you get for it, if you don't mind telling?

It looked like those things were hit or miss on Ebay, as far as making money.

Like others, I don't mind sitting on the penny items but for those items I front the $50+ for, I like to unload those quick. With that said, I sold the Rachio for $145 shipped. Could I have gotten more? Probably. Just threw it out there to see how quick it would sell.

Found a 10" tile blade (penny) that has been hiding at my local store just randomly the first blade on top in the display. It was not in the display box a couple weeks ago.

Also picked up 3 set of Crescent adjustable wrench 6",8" & 10" for $5, normally $15. Now I can give my dad his adjustable wrenches back.

They also had the wink smart home controller for $139. Anyone try selling them?

Wow. How do I find AZ penny deals

Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

It's not as easy as Home Depot. No access to penny items, computers won't show it. Managers get a list of items that need to be pulled off the selfs. Which are small in quantity. Hand held scanners shows amount of product in store , for example 7 fuel filters, we would manually confirm that 7 got pulled. After that computer zeros out that product to a penny and to 0 in quantity. Only reason thing stayed behind just like Home Depot penny items is that employees get lazy or just don't care and so the products remain in the shelf. So now one random person picks up that fuel filter left behind and it scans 1 penny.

I saw 3 KD 7" diamond tile saw blades that didn't match up to the current ones or the sku on the prices. I grabbed the least dusty one (they were buried) and went to SCO to price check. It froze the computer. The guy came to help, it turned into a production, and finally they offered to sell it to me for the other KD blade price.
Apparently, they are so old they fell out of the system. Betcha the all went home with the tile guy who volunteered to take it back for me.

Also, I saw a garage door opener tucked way back somewhere. Getting it out wouldn't be subtle. All I could get was the model. HD520EV. Is that one worth making a production to get out?

This is what they do at Lowes and Home Depot--this is only a problem for the company if you're returning stuff that's not in resellable condition.

IMO you shouldn't take stuff back if you fucked the packaging up, or be prepared to take a 10% off deduction for an open box.

They don't inspect very well... Last year i bought a Milwaukee m18 Fuel grinder that had some tape on the box, I got out to my truck after I bought it and opened it, to find that someone had replaced the fuel-brushless model with a standard brushed model inside.

The garage door you reference above is not the one everyone is getting for a penny. The one you want is HD520EVG, which offers a free MYQ upgrade. The free upgrade is displayed promently on the box. Prior to going to a penny, the GDO was selling for $40.03. Found three of those in my searches, and one for a penny. Keep looking in the stacks. People are still finding them...........

The west Plano, TX store has a couple of Rustoleum clear epoxy kits for $19.88. They are located on the floor of a clearance rack on the main, center isle in the middle of the store.

Full price in my area too, but here it's 1 store then 45-60 mins in every direction to hit another store, it'd take me a weekend and $100+ in gas to hit even 6-8 stores probably. Oh well, I'll keep looking at my store. Seen a few penny items but nothing I needed or that was valuable enough to turn a profit.
