Yes, there are quite a few deal hunters and small contractors in the Twin Cities area. It's best not to hold your breath on anything you see posted here. You might find something by chance. But it's not worth your time traveling to each of the stores because there seems to pretty strict control of any discounting around here.

I was told by a home depot employee when I asked about a clearance item he said the contractors always buy the good stuff before you can get it cheap. There most be a couple guys who know what there doing and get to the stuff before anyone else.

Plus there are some outlet stores that get a lot of home depot stuff such as returns, damaged items, and stuff that doesn't sell well. Getting deals in Minnesota is almost impossible!

You guys have any idea if Graco or Wagner paint sprayers hit clearance ever? ...or is price set by vendor? I keep watching but nothing moves.

I think there were a few Wagner models that went in clearance a long time ago (1 year ago or even further back). It looks like they did it to refresh their stock to the current newer models, xio or whatever they are.

Sold 2 nailers ($425) and XT257TB kit ($250) for $675 off craigslist.

$355 profit isn't too bad. No way I could touch that profit on eBay without trying to sell them for about $50 more than what they are currently going for.

Wish I could pick up a few penny nailers now...

That happened to me too this weekend not a rookie but made the mistake. The epoxy garage floor paint is 50 for the one car you have and 75 for the 2 1/2. not a big mark down down here.

If you want the "Cherry Red" coating they are $3.00 at both stores on SW 88th. I pasted on the but they did have 3-5 of them.

Only thing I came across yesterday was the T Handle sockets for $5. I've been looking all over for a set of those and found them at the end of the aisle in a bin, not tagged S clearance.

A lot of the ones I got had a security tag. So that makes it tricky.

Me too with the exception of one store where I bought 3. Funny thing is, this store is located in the worst part of town and probably needed the security tags.

I guess we can't complain. Still making a decent profit off of them.

Sent from outer space using Taptalk.

Ive gotten a few penny items with security tags...since I use SCO, they usually see that I paid for it and never ask for the receipt. They just get the mag tool ready to remove my tags.

This. Or I cover the price with my thumb when I show the receipt. Usually they see me paying though and just take it off.

Found this video cable this morning with a penny tag. Problem with early morning find is I cannot do self scan. The cashier scanned it and nothing. She typed in the sku and nothing. She called the head cashier and she say item not in system so they cannot sell and it will go back to vendor. 12ft cable would be handy for those surveillance camera.

Walked out empty handed but maybe someone will have better luck.

mention in your CL ad that you will meet at the local police station or bank - lots of lights and cameras. Most police stations now support meeting there for CL transactions. I have had a few people who seemed to get skittish when meeting at the police station (I am happy to avoid those). I think there are some people who think they are getting a good deal on stolen merchandise and back off when they find that is not the case.

Short of a recall warning popping up on the screen, there's no way you should have left empty handed. Even though it came up as not found, it was on the floor (I assume it was on the floor), with a clearly legible price tag. I think they're dangerously close to a legal issue there, and even an *** of a MOD should have given it to you to avoid the hassle.

Forgot to post yesterday, I managed a Fiskars saw/cutter combo for a penny. Sorry, don't have pic. It was just laying on the shelf behind all the other Fiskars stuff.

Damn, my local store has the shed for $597.06 with a 10/17/15 yellow tag on it. PCA confirmed the $597.06 price. I really hope the price drops a bit since I have been looking to pick one of these up for a while.

Probably the one I picked up for $5.00 before the holidays. My local HDs no longer carry that combo.

i havent seen it in person, but i have the impression that shed couldnt handle a stiff wind
although at $250 it does say 65mph winds and 10 yr warranty.. definitely worth it to roll the dice if you like the look of it
