I remember reading SPNs post about the faucet, and I was like.. I should document everything. Then today I shipped a garage door opener and it arrived damaged. I was going to keep that one but I decided to go chain. Then wouldn't you know.... [emoji849]

I know some people hate CL, but it makes life much simpler.

Shipping damage? negative captain!

Chargebacks? never!

I only have a couple more larger items to sell....the smaller stuff will go through Ebay and shipped out (with insurance and pics of the packages before shipping).

Having just mailed (3) Paslodes today and working on/making a box to ship a faucet in as I type this, CL is a hell of a lot easier!! Only problem is, the stuff sells a lot quicker on eBay.

It is what it is. I had insurance and the guy seemed pretty cool about it. Well see what happens. CL has too many tire kickers for me, I guess every now and then your gonna get burned either way. Cost of doing business.

Yeah... I've been pretty lucky with cl. Only time I had problems was selling a set of wheels for a car. Lots of "yo yo yo" but no actual show.

Tools I've actually met some really nice people.

They were already being pulled from shelf so grabbed instead of waiting for a penny. Shower kit was a penny though no issues cashier said lucky you

Still at the .06 price here the other day. Ready to grab them when they go .03

This is how CL goes via text:

Him: Yo, u still got the nailer??
Me: Yes, I do.
Him: What's the least you'll take for it?
Me: Well, the ad says $250 firm so I'm gonna say $250 is the lowest I'll go.

Then I'll either get the "ok, thanks" response or simply no response at all.

As others have said though, I've bought/sold quite a few things on CL up to and including several cars and have dealt with fantastic people 95% of the time.

If you shipped FedEx file a claim I just got a check for 130 for one damaged item out of 11 I shipped and refund the shipping cost. Didn't need to send any pics, I filed a second claim for a box I shipped of two valves, one valve arrived damaged and the box was all wet and punctured. Mind you it was double boxed and only 20 pounds. That one I was able to get pictures for it and up load it to FedEx. That one will be 95 dollars if they approve it. I use FedEx all the time.

I think it's per store, I've seen a bunch of different prices around here but just tags. Didn't check the computer.

I've been dying for that saw and called every store that had it in stock in my area when someone posted that they saw it for $390. The store that didn't have it had the $390 price in their system but it was $599 at every store that had it.

What areas are people seeing it on clearance?

Dunno if they are getting smart to this, or if its just one of my local stores but I went in and they had tons of "Reduced 25% or 35%" tags, and not so many "Clearance" tags.

That was a weird clearance my store had 3 of them and now the inventory is all gone. I really wanted a Bosch glide saw too. They were down to a decent price and all 3 went which I find hard to believe at this store big items usually don't sell well at this store.

Finally had some renewed faith in USPS. They paid out on a claim that I had expected just to chalk up as cost of doing business. It was a pretty easy process as well.

I could use that! Would the website reflect the price in the store or is it better to go in and check?

The website will not reflect to new price. It is always better to go in and check stock. The stores that are showing this price seem to be the ones the are showing zero on hand. Either way, always walk the aisles and check the overhead racks to see if you can find one. You would not believe how many times I and many other members here have found stuff up in the racks when the computer showed zero.

Have the Paslode finish nailers (sku 343546) gone penny yet? I've seen a couple of them but was in the store late and was outnumbered about 4:1 by employees standing around the sco.
