was just thinking spn and gmc haven't really posted that much in a little while. I've been hesitant to post as well because of how many lurkers there are that aren't contributing. That and it's been a little dead lately. The system just cleared out a crapload of tools locally and they are doing their spring reset so should be interesting to see whats coming. I think the rubbermaid big max box is replacing the keter hence the clearance. So I think eventually they will all be on sale.

I post a lot of my finds, but really there hasn't been a whole lot lately. This week it's all Nutone pennies and those Ridgid 5 foot cables. Dunno what else pennied this week.
I also got a little annoyed with the 50-plus PMs for door knobs. I don't mind helping out once in a while, but that was a little nuts

Anything that I post up lately, I get pm's to oh ship it to me at cost help me out or how did you find that? Most of the stuff I buy is for me or family (clearance price) and the rest is just because I enjoy the hunt (penny). I went to my neighbors 2 year olds birthday Saturday and I knew he needed a garage door opener as his crapped out so I gave him a 520evg. Asked how much and I said a penny. He gave me a penny, I broke even and his wife will now nag him to install it.

I look for new deals all the time and it seems like no-one with the exception of a few us are actually finding new deals. Speaking of which my wife has ordered me to start looking for a new washing machine.................

My penny find for this week was the Ridgid tube-shaped toolbox. Thought my local store had 1 but it turned out they had 2. My brother in law wanted one even at the 9.00 price so when I noticed it fell out of the system I assumed it was a penny.

They got the 2 from overhead for me (employee already on ladder in the same aisle, so they didnt bother to check their handheld). I scanned them at SCO and on my way out the cashier asked to see my receipt, for the first time ever. She said "thats a neat toolbox, and even neater that you paid a penny for them....have a nice day"

I told my BIL he owes me 2 cents to cover the cost of his *and* mine :)

Oh and I don't post a lot, or haven't lately due to not really finding anything. Watching this section (and other deals that come up). For 3 yrs and have yet to find a penny. Have scanned .03 items with a date close to a year old. And still same price.... No unicorns for me. But it's still fun looking

Thought I saw the non-Fuel sawzall thats down to 115 in a couple stores around us.

was that the kit or bare tool.. I know the bare tool non fuel was $118 in one local store towards the end of the 150 off promo deal. Made it a really good buy at the time.

think the Makita kit is old but its still poping up in a few stores though I haven't found one yet. Port a torch seems like it doesn't want to drop in price here lol.

Anyone hot the RI stores? I'm in Newport and going try a few?
I've tried a few, not much luck though. I did find the 20pc Husky ratchet wrenches for $38 today though.

SKU: 326993
Model: 2620-21

Should be the kit, with 1 3.0ah battery and charger.

I got the Fuel version (bare tool) last year during the 150 off promo. Everything they say about it being close to a replacement for a corded sawzall is true. Its heavy, but really powerful.

try diff stores in your local reach. i have noticed that in my local that torch in particular < and other products too > will drop at like 2 of the 10 stores only. makes zero sense, but maybe worth it to buy full price and attempt to price adjust at the lower store

Not sure about the Newport or North Kingston stores, but havent found any pennies at any other RI stores. Usually the clearance stuff is gone pretty quickly. The 2 HDs I was at this week had very empty clearance sections, almost like it all went in the dumpster. Most of the finds posted I have never found or they are not clearanced. Could of bought Paslodes at 100 if I wanted weeks ago but dont need and didnt want to resell.

those are decent jacks, great for auto cross since its light. I used it while lowering a differential would be nice if it was more "rapid" in its pumping

How is that a good deal? It retails for $129. He was referring to the kit. Go to the store and do the work, and you'd know that.

I grabbed the 48" wide wall cab for $43 a while back. My advice is buy the displays if you can. These are worse than ikea furniture. I've got about 2 hours into putting the thing together and still have to put the doors on. The instructions tell you to install screws and then in a later step you have to take the screws out and reinstall them. It's thin gauge junk.

It'll be fine for holding aerosol cans and some wood glue but I would never put tools in one. All in all I am not sure if I would take more them even at penny status unless it was solely to resell

It's actually the 1.5 ton husky aluminum/steel jack that is 35. Still a good deal? I'd link but I'm in the store and can't make the mobile site give me a good link.

Now find a store that has it priced at $49 and get a price adjustment

You seem to be one of the most knowledgeable (if not the most)..

Recently got a Keter shed at the .06 price. A store near me is OOS but has it at .03.

Is an adjustment as simple as walking in with the receipt and getting the difference refunded via a return/rebuyor otherwise?

Depends on store and Mgr.

I've seen some do an adjustment with just the receipt, others require the item back, others refuse to do a rr. Others refuse to return at all.

I see.

I'd have to assume I'll have trouble as price is 497.06 and I want matched to $250.03.

I know I posted a couple pages back - just can't seem to wrap my head around how easily some of you get these things done. Managers/staff near me almost seem like they are on the defense before you say a word to them.

Go to the returns desk and say "I need to either get a price adjustment or just return it and I'll rebuy it, whatever is easier". Hopefully you can do it with the receipt only. The 3 times I did it I had the item with me and had no problems
