Do clearance tags on reconditioned tools ever drop in price?

i dont know the answer to your quest, but oftentimes i find products with incorrect price tags or multiple price tags that do not cover each other... the last of which often occurs at one store in particular where someone(s) puts the initial tag facing outward on a product in overhead and then puts addl clearance/markdown stickers where they are not visible and not covering the initial sticker.

so the moral of the story is to always price check at sco, especially if you want it or suspect it to be lower.

another tip that doesnt get reported here: when i absolutely have to have help with a deal, i always use the female associate who doesnt seem to possess product knowledge and is just a nice, customer-service type. these are easily identified by smile and eye contact. only problem i have ever encountered with such an associate is her being a bit too dependent or approval-seeking which results in her asking for help from another associate who makes a big scene about the deal youre onto.

For those of you asking for a copy, I cannot give it to you. What I can tell you is, be polite, do not demand, let them know the policy, don't threaten, be firm,
9 out of 10 times you will be successful.
Ha.. Lol.. That won't work with some of the ahole HD management.. They would say fake letter and say call whoever Yu want, nobody is leaving store with penny ITEM.
And sometimes they won't even obey HD Corp.

The letter has my personal information on it.. My point was not to brag, but to show store managers and associates who won't sell you penny items ( for whatever reason). confirms to them, that yes you can sell penny items.
I don't know how some of you walk out with all those penny items, around here it's not that easy.

feel free to finish your sentence. Sorry, couldn't read the receipt on my phone. carry on jerk.

The receipt doesn't have the SKU on it anyway.

If you did a quick search, you would find that the SKU to the Paslode has been posted probably 50 times in the past 2 or 3 weeks.

That nailer has been discussed extensively for weeks, and there are numerous pictures and mentions of the sku in previous pages. If you want someone to spoon feed everything to you, you're in the wrong forum.

There are two of the Husky silent flow compressors ($99) in the Madison, AL store for anyone local looking.

Thanks Hoss and Gore. I was just trying to confirm it with the one I saw back in the store AND posted about a few pages back that still showed at $399.

Making sure I didn't have my sku's messed up

Just curious, has anyone thought of stitching two of the keter sheds together to make something ~7' x ~14'? For $500 it doesn't seem like a bad idea, just wondering as I haven't taken a close up look at them to see how modular they are.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be "that" guy...but I know people were talking about some of the finish nailers also being on clearance.

It's really easy to look it up in the computer. No one was being that guy, except that guy.

Well the store I was at didn't have any. but another store does. Says they have 2 instock.

Just look with detail. They can be hidden anywhere up top at this point. Don't try to take them both at once either, one a time is best. In my experience those stock lists are always inaccurate

The store I frequent, is on top of their game. I should stop looking for penny deals. And don't see very many of the yellow tags anymore for some reason.
I did grab the cresent wrench pack for $5

I know that there was a larger 7.5' x 9' Keter Fusion shed that I think was also on clearance (don't quote me on that). I am sure with enough time and money you could stitch two sheds together. Not sure it would be worth the effort though.

That's how it is in the New York Metropolitan area as well. Makes me wonder how they manage to have a long lines during the weekend. :headscrat

Just watched the assembly video on youtube actually. Not gonna work without some modification to the bottom pieces. Considering they are a molded plastic not even close to worth it. Oh well.

How about the shed-in-a-box? That one is made of material, but probably more of a carport than an actual shed.

You'd have to find 2 of them to start off. Any store I have found that has 2 in stock are at full price, only with stores with stock of 1 are they $250 that I have seen.

Saw the box in person today and holy cow its huge, its on a double long 1.5 wide pallet. Definitely believe the 6x8 box dimension and its about 2 feet thick.

Just picked up a couple of the NuTone HD80NT exhuast fans for a penny each. Had to use the orange ladder to get them off the top shelf since there were no associates around to help and the ladder was already right there just tempting me to use it.

Yeah, I had to cut the box open and unload it from my truck piece by piece. There are two smaller boxes in the package which are manageable with a hand truck. The box just barley fit between the two wheel well humps in the bed of my F250.

Wow thats a big box!

At some point you have to wonder if the actual building materials required to make a shed this size actually take up less room than the prefabbed shed packaging.

A few faucets today. They were in the upper overhead and of course at the very bottom of the stack. Poor old lady had a hell of a time getting them down. I offered to help but she have the whole "you're not allowed on these orange staircases".

Something strange happened today, I just went to a store that I havent been to in over 2 weeks. I found a ridgid generator cord and a bosch 225ft laser. I went to self checkout and scanned them and a water and then swiped my HD card. The attendant was about to remove the spider wrap from the bosch laser when the manager came over and accused me of scanning a phony upc and asked me how I did it and where it was and what I scanned to get it to ring up as a penny. He said the system wont allow it to ring for a penny. I pointed to the upc on the box. Then 2 big burly MF'ers come over and 1 of them bumps my shoulder with his chest and says he is with store security and asked where the fake upc was and that they need me to walk to the back with them. I told them to scan it for themselves and see that they are a penny. They were surprised that it rang up a penny and said its not supposed to do that. They were convinced that I hacked there system or something. They voided the transaction and took the items.

I was in the store for over an hour looking at tile and paint after finding the penny items. They must have been watching me since I walked in or something because the store security was waiting at the front and the manager was hovering around self checkout. I didnt notice them though because they were all in street clothes and none of them had an orange apron or anything HD related.

Needless to say I called corporate on my way home because of how they handled that. They treated my like a criminal in front of other customers. Even though I had a receipt and scanned the items upc not some fictitious upc that they believed I had. I dont know if I will ever go back there. I didnt even grab everything that I could have. There were 2 boxes of fiskar penny items that they are oblivious to.

There is some much here that HD could get hammered for doing that I do not know where to start. So you actually paid for the items and had the receipt and they still took them from you??

As stated above, what did corporate say. I don't think I'd ever call corporate but if they did to me what they did to you, I'd make the call right there in the store.

A letter to corporate stating your belief that you were humiliated on purpose while doing nothing but purchasing an item from their store and how that behavior might look to the local news and their national reputation.
A complaint to the BBB.
