Anyone seen the Brinkman grills cheaper yet? Haven't seen any less than half off yet. Guessing we may not since they have them all down by the front doors.

Unless they miss a box somewhere.

Seems like they are all around $59 or $69 around here. Haven't really paid attention though.

for yall having problems with ebay bc of complaints about broken/incomplete stuff:
i got a new tankless water heater from hd...75% off with a generic sku for a $250ish total. employees assured it was new, and just got lost on the shelf... box looked good. i finally crack it open the other day and its missing both of the controllers.. theyre $150ea plus tax and ship... all hd would do is return my $$.. no 'here have a discount', no 'sorry for wasting your time', no 'here have a giftcard', no nothin.. except excuses of course.

hd isnt infallable. plenty of returns end up back on the shelf, esp if the box looks nice...

Yea I agree, but the garage door openers are stapled closed from factory. At least the one I've gotten. Thank god the one I shipped was received and good feedback from the customer was entered.

Good feedback means nothing. They can still file a claim. The system is broker than our govt and my wallet.

yea that's true I guess with paypal's 180 day policy. I never leave feedback when I sell things until they leave me feedback...

Been watching and haven't seen more than half off. There are still plenty of grills in my area but it seems like they are taking forever to drop them and the closer we get to spring I don't think they are going to. It weird all the accessories all ready pennied out or are .03 status but the grills/smokers aren't.

I picked up one of the litter 2 burner rollers about 3 weeks back at $59.00, down from $119.00 I believe it was. Figured they were about to start going back up around here.

Noticed that the Dewalt 12" double bevel sliding miter saw, which retails for $399, is being clearanced at HD for $259.

You talking about the DWS779 or DWS709?

Found one of the paslode framing nailers in the rafters... Got someone to pull it down and it was a penny. MOD said 299 was as low as they would go.

I bet he is taking a nailer home with him tonight...

Mine still say they are being processed.

That seems common though. You need to call and they will approve them eventually.

On a side note, anyone who needs some Schlage stuff. I had great luck with buyschlagenow.com. Yes yes, it will be retail price, but it's nice to be able to get everything you need in one place, and also get all keyed handles keyed alike.

Next time make sure the person pulling it down for you doesnt have one of those PDA type things, then they cant/wont check the price

I also find it helpful to wait until the orange ladders are already in the aisle you need them to pull it down from....that way there is more tendency for them to just "run up there" and grab it without asking too many questions or trying to check a price. Ive gotten a number of penny items from overhead just by making sure its very easy for them to do.

FYI - I bought a Schlage re-keying kit off ebay....comes with a few tools and a bunch of "pins" to rekey the tumblers to match existing keys. You'll notice a 6 or 7 digit number on the original keys that came with the lock....that corresponds to the pins you need in the tumbler. It took me about 10 minutes to rekey an entry set that I bought from someone. If you dont have the original key it takes a bit longer but is the same basic process (you'll have to trial and error the pin sizes)

If you ask around some of the employees can re-key the Schlage locks for about 3 or 4 bucks. However, they don't train the new employees on this, so you may need to call a few stores to find someone.

How funny is it to pay 3.00 to rekey an entry set that cost you 0.01 :)

I did know that. When we bought our house, it was just convenient to buy everything at once and from one place rather than messing with rekeying. I got all our exterior stuff keyed alike (one entry door handleset and like 4 or 5 knob/deadbolts). The total bill was like $600 but...

I did know that as well. I thought if you bought it there they often did it for free. I could be wrong though.

I believe the CF325Li model is penny everywhere. The new model is CF325XP.

Fixed.

No, I think their tactic is that most of the people won't bother to call to ask why so that way they don't have to fork out any money. If you call, they will approve them from what I have heard.

Doesn't work at all for my local stores or HD.com....?

ive never seen this stock checker mentioned here...
does anyone use it or recommend it?
http://brickseek.com/inventory-check/homedepot

just a heads up that it requires the "Internet number" rather than the store SKU - I just tried a couple searches using non-clearance items where it was easy to find the internet number and it worked fine. Now we need to the internet number for some clearance items and see if that works.

As I said, it doesn't work for items that don't pull up in store on HD.com. i.e. no go for clearance stuff. Just verified with a few items.

So just send in my receipts from the last 60 days and i should get a rebate for them all?

Lucky the manager didn't play the "overhead" card. If he knew corporate policy, he would have mentioned it I am sure.

I am wondering if it would work if you had the internet number for a clearance item. I will have to try to grab some on some items and then wait for them to drop off the website. Or we may be able to use googles cache to get an internet number for a clearance item.

That's not a bad idea. Ask for multiple things while they are up there.

I wish eBay would let you calculate shipping cost prior to approving a best offer.. i have an offer on a shed but not sure how much it will cost to ship!

Can you check the profile of the user that made the offer? See if their location is there and just do a somewhat accurate guesstimate of the shipping cost.

Not sure Id be willing to ship one of those sheds, though!
