Lucky the manager didn't play the "overhead" card. If he knew corporate policy, he would have mentioned it I am sure.
Precisely why I bring my mightly ladder in the store with me. It's MY ladder so I'll use it where I want. If I can reach it, it's mine.

I wish eBay would let you calculate shipping cost prior to approving a best offer.. i have an offer on a shed but not sure how much it will cost to ship!

The offer says the buyers location.

The offer says the buyers location.

But can you use the ebay shipping tool to review shipping estimate? there discounts are so much better then shipping direct via fedex.com

That you can't do, no. Well not that I am aware of at least.

If you took the FedEx.com price and took 10-15% off or so, you should be pretty close. I shipped form Me, to Oh and the discount was 23% FWIW.

Kinda of a back door trick i just found.. Open a label you already completed and click to reprint but change the address and adjust shipping size an wait seems to work.. That shed from CT to PA is about 28 bucks shipped if its 70 pounds.. seems really fair.

Basically what I just did to see the 23% off. Didn't think to change the address though, good point.

This the shed in a box?

lol so you're looking at freight delivery? that could be very expensive.

You'd have to get a rate from something like FedEx Freight or NEMF (New England Motor Freight) or Estes. No eBay discount on that.

Edit: oh, one of those fabric sheds? thought you were talking about the 500 pound sheds that people are getting for $250.03

I just don't have the weight nor dimensions on me to input an offer expire in a hour lol

At what point does FedEx actually weight the stuff, or do they not? I think if the weight and dimensions you use are close (+/- 10lbs), you are fine. I don't think they go back and question your weight, unless it was vastly off. i.e. the garage door opener I just shipped was heavier than what I paid for, but it got picked up, delivered, etc.

Same with USPS stuff. I have paid for less than what the items weighs when I go to ship it on multiple occasions, but they never say anything.

From Amazon

48.1 x 17.1 x 6.6 inches

56.2 pounds

Tarp "shed in a box", not the big Keter shed.

Ups has scanners that read the size of the box as it gets sorted. And they weigh each one. I hate that place but we use them.

Do they have some acceptable pass/fail criteria.

Got the last one. The lady working hardware caught me and said it was marked down today. I think she wanted it. Also, the 28 pc wrench set is down to $10.04

Peel it off lol.
Had this issue when I got a whole cart full of pesticides with a UPCs scribbled out and a generic SKU written on them. I walked out with the whole cart full for a penny each. I left the cart though.

Anyway, does HD do a nailer reset every spring? I'm ready for the next one.

I shipped items and have had price corrections for weight. I guessed and apparently was off by a couple pounds. I think they price corrected for about 5 dollars on a 20 or 25 dollar shipment. I don't remember the size/weight specifics

Yea... If you under report by an ounce they refill you at the next lb. If you under measure by anything they round up and refill you.

Did you just call BS and talk to the manager? I've got three glacier bay faucets that have the barcode marked out with a different sku and price written on the box at this HD I'm at now. The original sku doesn't show up in the PCA so I'm assuming it's supposed to be a penny?

It was a heated discussion with the manager on duty, who ended up calling the store manager at home. Manager said let them go for a penny each.

The only reason why they did that with the pesticides is because they didn't want to throw it away. Would have cost a lot of money because of the hazmat issue. A lot of stores around here did this.

I had a penny gdo with oem factory barcode cutoff and they stick a peeloff label of a different model gdo at a high msrp price.
I wonder if stores doing that are committing fraud, possibly against the laws..and how can I report the store doing that and to who..would hd corp care.

when you guys dealt with the write in prices/barcodes/skus did the item ring for a penny at the sco or did it come up 'item not found'? have any of you walked out with an 'item not found' for a penny or free? and how exactly did you move the conversation with the sco or manager towards 'penny' or 'free' without them saying one of those magic words first?

I've seen it ring up both ways... sometimes they 'delete' the original SKU and/or UPC from the system so it only rings up as 'item not found' unless the cashier enter the new SKU, other times I've seen it ring up as a penny based on the original SKU or UPC. I think it just depends if they remove the old SKU/UPC from the system or not when they assign the generic SKU.

I found over a dozen of those yellow hound dog tools for pennies over the weekend. Can't believe anyone would've paid around $25 for those originally, but I guess not many people did since I've seen so many on clearance in different stores.

There is a shed in Bellingham, display model damaged front doors from plowing lot. The dept head brought it up online and it showed full price so he said I could have it for $900.00 [emoji23]. When I told him they were on clearance for 250 and the front desk lady agreed he said he will let it go for $125. I looked at it. Front doors are off and inside broke off at hinges . It has to be disassembled to move. I'm not interested in it. He said there is a second one inside in box with broken parts going back to vendor.

You'll probably want to note which model(s) you're interested in.

Found Epoxy shield today

And also saw a couple of these Husky Stainless steel workbenches. Anyone have any luck selling these? Pretty good mark down for sure.

Also noticed Kwikset locks, etc are starting to get clearanced. Found a couple Port a torches but still full price.

The one store also had some store model Lincoln welders still expensive though and a Paslode Finish Nailer for $299. Finish nailer might of been used or a display? Do they ever rent out them?
