hmm i wonder if my store was like that.. for a penny i would bite.
did your store have it in the inaccessible area outside or was it just on the shelf or overhead?

The store I was in did not have any stock, I was talking about the fact that at SCO the price was a penny and at the store computers using the price check app the price there was $250.03

Since everyone on here seems to buying them I figured I'd do a quick review of the Keter shed.

Things I hate and will fix/modify. The reason the doors are broken off the displays are because the hinges are a hollow plastic pin. They are a joke and I might machine some solid one's out of delrin with thread or nix the threads and use a c-clip. IF you live in a neighborhood where you are worried about someone stealing stuff out of the shed don't get this shed. A good kick to the walls or doors and they are in. You can only mount up to 77 lbs on a wall which seems limiting.

Please do a followup post if you diy the hinges.

My only critique is the walls are a bit brittle, one of the pieces broke off and crumbled in the package.

The seller is not responsible for items stolen off a buyer's porch.

while correct, it would not stop the buyer from making a claim and seller is typically the one who does have to make a shipping insurance claim. If buyer paid with CC, you are hosed if they do a charge back regardless of what proof you might have to show it was delivered.

I managed a small company that shipped 10-30 items a week, dealt with 5% issues on those shipments and we almost always "ate" the cost of lost shipments, or USPS left at wrong house but scanned delivered, sigh.

Hi, I have lurked these forums for the last couple weeks. Just bought a HF 44" toolbox thanks to the recommendations here.

Anyway, can someone explain this penny stuff to me? Or point me in the direction of the post that does? I am confused...

^ ^ No problem. It might actually be a full-blown Sears store that is selling on SearsOutlet. That is how I got mine, but they were 8 ft stainless steel.

Just call and make sure they have in stock. Then buy online. Then call back and have them mark box it's already paid and you can drive to pickup.

Be sure to capture screenshots of your purchase on SearsOutlet website and bring along. Also print and bring the last page with barcode for pickup. Remember to bring those printouts with you in case some numbskull is working at Sears that day !! :D

I made roadtrip to TX to get mine !! ;)

I did a gravel pad, didn't plan ahead and bought 4 4x4s and gravel this morning. Bolted the wood together and dumped the gravel. Cost ~$140. Shed was $250.00. I didn't tamp the gravel down but leveled best I could. Keter expects your pad to be perfect and this shed isn't really meant to go on gravel. I put the base down and the whole floor flexes with the gravel.

I wonder if a better solution would be a pad made with crusher run or stone dust, tamped and leveled.

I just had a buyer do a charge back on a $400 Apple Watch. Sent my proof of delivery and got my money right back.

Probably. I was in a hurry and it was the only nice day in the forecast so I rushed through it. I was mainly worried about the return period and finding a piece broken damaged afterwards. My boxes were perfect but one of the peak panels was broken on the inside. Just caused me to relocate a screw rather than steal one off the display or make keter send me one. For the price all said and done I really can't complain. But I'm only storing a few items in it and my wife's gardening supplies so they are out of my garage.

I put the base down and the whole floor flexes with the gravel. While erecting the walls you have to pull the braces to align. The pieces around the door you have to physically break in half and are left with rough edges. I was hesitant about this but the way they designed it they sit in a pocket for the door frame and there is plenty of play. I put the shed up almost entirely by myself. I needed my wife's help for the fastening the roof braces, the window, the peak, and the door frame. That's it. Total build time was around 5 hours. For $400 I can't really complain, shed looks nice, feels pretty secure once entirely together.

I was just trying to put mine together this weekend. My problem is that I have gotten to the roof and I can't get them to square up. 1 set of opposite corners are lined up but, the other set are not, off by about a 1/4 of an inch. Can't seem to get them to flex enough to slide down onto the frame properly.

I've checked the level and it seems to be dead on as far as the platform goes. I'm going to have to take it down and start from scratch again to see what going on, very frustrating. Hopefully no screws will strip out:dunno:

Once I got the walls up I left everything loose as I put it together so it all flexed. While building the walls make sure your screws are in a consistent spot in the provided slots. If one screw is in the bottom of the slot and the next one is at the top something is wrong. The center metal support I left loose as aligning the end peaks and the middle would **** if you tightened everything. I didn't even tie the roof down to the sides till the very end. I had my wife sit on the corners (literally) so I knew they would be seated. Also, make sure you follow the order they set out (back right, front right, left front, left rear) The way they interlock you are pretty much stuck in this order. You can start front left and go clockwise. You get hung up PM and I'll try to help.

EDIT: Just re-read what you wrote. If you mean the tops of the walls aren't even, mine weren't either. The front around the door was 3/8 inch higher than the side walls. There is enough play in the roof panels to take this up. The rear panels were even with the side walls.

Ok, thanks for the tips. I'll give it a shot by leaving everything loose. Hopefully it won't be too much of a pain.

For the sake of customer service you need to file a claim with UPS. The buyer cannot file a claim. If you don't care about customer service you will not be a seller for long.

Sorry, no. Once the item is shown as delivered to the buyer's address you cannot file an insurance claim. Insurance is for damage and non delivery. You can file a theft of mail claim but that is on the buyer. I know what you are trying to say but that has nothing to do with the situation SPN has. If he has a tracking number saying it was delivered he will not be forced to refund if the buyer opens an item not received case.

It's not the seller's responsibility if something is stolen. That's your job to file a police report. Aaaannndd...With 99.9999% of police in this country, you'd be better off not bothering. They aren't looking for your stuff.

mactechpro- "Hopefully no screws will strip out"

To prevent plastic from stripping out, when reinstalling the screw turn it counterclockwise one or two turns. The screw threads will line up with the existing threads in the plastic. Of course if you over-torque the screw all bets are off.

Paypal or CreditCard? Paypal is good in the regards of proving delivery then they will side with the shipper. Creditcards on the other hand, not so much. We won a charge back on buyer claiming they did not get item, tracking proved they did. A week later they did a charge back on defective item not working, they eventually won and kept item. We offered to replace the item. People ****, credit card companies ****.

never a dull moment. was in doing my usual monday lunch shopping at the HD near work. I cleared them out of husky cabinets friday night. Some guy was making a stink that he bought remainder of stuff this weekend and he came back today to buy the display and since he bought the rest of the stuff they should give him the display cheap. I eavesdropped the convo and they sold him the display for $20. Supposedly they were giving him the rest of the hooks as well for the track, probably about 30 items. I'm going to go back after lunch and see if they found the track that was hidden (not by me) and see if I can deal for less.

Pennies. Sku: 317467

Got these paid for and grabbed receipt and SCO lady stopped me. Let her call the manager who came over and told me I couldn't leave because it's still his product. Eventually let me leave.

you paid for it how can they say its still his product

Had that happen a week or so with a Moen. Paid and was leaving and the SCO stopped me. I basically said you can either let me leave or I can call the cops and report you for stealing from me. I paid and have a receipt. I own it. Period.

Off I went immediately.

Had a decent day..Grabbed 5 more of the Ridgid vertical 6 gallon compressors. Can't believe they were still sitting right up there in the rafters. Guys that got them down were pissed and moaning that they should only sell 1 clearance item per customer...Freaking hilarious. Me and another guy outside the store got a good laugh out of it. also grabbed 4 of the dirt devil quick plus vacs..
