Yeah,I was thinking this myself. Hoping the end isn't coming since I really just discovered this. But we use to have fun at CVS, but they finally tightened things up and killed all the fun there. They can do it if they really want to. I don't think the deals will stop, but they could easily send out a couple of memos and end penny buying and computer usage unless accompanied by an associate. A company wide memo and it's over..just like CVS.

from the comparisons it seemed that the 2.5 DW had better specs...but I also don't know much about them.
The dewalt has a higher CFM rating (3.0) but uses MUCH MORE AMPS (12), I think the husky uses about 7 amps and the dewalt uses 12 amps.
The Husky has a 70% duty cycle and the Dewalt has a 50% Duty Cycle.
As I said I Had purchased both of these compressors and I Flipped all the Dewalt Compressors But so far I still have all 3 Of The Husky 4610A compressors and I will be keeping at least 2 of them.

If the CFM output will work for you...YES
Buy 1 and check it out for yourself....You have 90 days to decide whether to keep it.
I bought 3 and I will be keeping 2 of them

I had and sold 3 of the Dewalt Quiet compressors, they were nice but the Husky's are just nicer.

Anyone know the turnaround time on a email sent to corporate via the HD.com website?

Does anyone have a direct email address to send a message to corporate at?

Missed out on a couple of Dewalt compressors today. Was at one store looking through the price check app and saw another store showed 1. Just looked around and ended up buying a couple of the Lithonia led lights for my garage. Made it over to the other store and could not find the compressor isle. Asked and was told they were behind self checkout. I walk up and see a guy with 2 on a cart in the self checkout. Just missed them! :(
You should have said hello :)

Re: Home Depot Clearance Thread 2015

Picked up some deck furniture yesterday and while I was waiting I was checking some things out on the price check app. Found these hole saws on clearance but non in stock. Nobody said a word to me while I was on the computer. It faces the public so I'm assuming it's a public computer haha.

Ooo, I had forgotten about these but one of my stores supposedly has a few. :)

Why are people acting stupid and calling Corp if a HD employee asks them to get off the computer? Is it that hard to say, oh ok no problem? Move on and use another computer in back or go to another store or come back another time?

I second that don't make waves just come back another time :dunno:

Not sure about the other brands that were in the bucket didn't have time, but it would seem all the clearenced mower blades are close. Manager saw the tag just laughed and said that's our lovely MET team.

Anyone else have LP trailing them in the store? in a few of the stores, they have been following me. I guess i went to too many stores in too short of time --- looked up in overhead too much....ha!

I must look like a criminal or something.

How do you know they are LP? Why not just talk to them, if I found them following me around I would start talking to them, and use them as my personal concierge  they would either get pissed and leave me alone or make my hunting even easier

If this was ones in Gulfport and Biloxi he might be wasting time. My father and brother live down there and find a 03 deal every once in a blue moon. I thought I didn't teach them well enough, but everytime I visit I can't find anything. Now go to New Orleans is a different story.

the ones around me "central ms" are usually picked clean of penny deals but i have found quite a few in the 06-03 range than is worth spending the money on

Loss Prevention - AKA security guards in plainclothes.

If they think you're stealing, they'll follow you without saying anything... It can be comical to watch them attempt to act nonchalant.

Anybody have any idea when the Dewalt DWS779 miter saws will drop? I know the 709 is $259 but would rather have the 779 since it is close to the 780.

Honestly following the MET teams around is probably the easiest way. They put it all in a cart then go on a smoke break. May not always be a be a penny but will be clearance of some sort. Guess there's really only a short window for that though. Wonder how often they go around.

Lately Ive seen the MET almost every time I go to a store. Sometimes they are only in one dept and sometimes there are multiple teams in different departments, but its rare for me to go to a store now and NOT see at least one team.

Ill say it again....I think they are buckling down after corporate getting wind of whats going on, them trying to fix their horrible inventory controls, etc.

I see what your saying, but I don't think that to be the case. Those crews are all over the place around here and they've been around here forever. I haven't noticed an increase or decline in their presence recently.

I don't think that Home Depot is interested in changing the policy. If they do, I'll just get a job there on the weekends.

Funny you mention the weekend jobs.....my dad is retired and my mom is trying to get him out of the house. He applied to Lowes and HD but they refuse to have a "few days a week" position and every position requires at least one weekend day a week, not exactly ideal for someone who doesnt want to work anymore!

I agree. I've noticed no uptick in crews but you can take that with a grain of salt as I've only been at this for about 3 months. I have noticed there are fewer penny deals lately but I think that has more to do with me wiping everything out.

See a lot of "Hiring" signs at all my stores as well.

I keep telling him to get a job there. He is in a different area of the country but Im guessing once you are "in" deep enough you can access stuff all over the place.

If I didnt have kids Id be working at HD as a second job just so I could get a leg up on the deals.

I suppose they could, but Id be interested to know if the employees are given first chance at all these penny things to begin with.

Yes and sometimes cheaper. Where the frowns start happening is when people get greedy. Employees can't just take a cart full of 8 nutones and 6 generator cables home. Once managers think employees are selling the stuff on the side its game over. They'll let you take stuff all day for personal use only.

Was told for the first time I could not use the computer out here in Hercules Ca store by the guy at the windows/blinds section. I said my bad and walk away. Second person helped me located the Milwaukee 2 pack utilities knifes, told
Me to look on the top shelf. I spotted the box, which had all 12 of them and 3 screwdriver ratchets. Bought all of them lol

Agreed..I'll go back to CVS again. Use to be able to do some incredible stuff there. But something happened and over night they put an end to that going on. When you see it posted that computers are for store employees only, or that section is password protected then you will TRUELY know that it's game over at that point. And if you think about it,would be very easy for them to do. All it would take is a company wide memo sent out saying no buying penny items or using computers. Exactly why yesterday I didn't push the issue in a few certain instances yesterday.

Wow, I had never seen that many of those even when they were first in stock for Black Friday!

Going to attempt to get a price adjust on the hole saw kit today. Paid 30.02 about 84 days ago, so technically I can still return/rebuy.

I agree that in some stores these items are relocated and disappear for a reason, just or unjust. It wouldn't be that hard to just say you threw it out and then put it in a trash bag and carry it to your car at night. Or whatever.

If people don't think the employees are making out for their lack of compensation, I'd say there crazy.

I don't know if it is everywhere, but when I worked at HD back in day you COULD NOT buy penny deals whatsoever. You couldn't buy clearance items until the end of day after store closed for public use. With that being said if you found clearance deal u wanted you could take chance of hiding it in store or break room. If caught it was no questions asked termination. Penny deals are not supposed to happen and it comes out of the stores bonus. You could never buy penny items, BUT you would have a close friend on speed dial to tell them to come pick stuff up and split profits. Also, I haven't seen it posted in either forum, any store employee is allowed to lower price of any item they see fit up to $50 without manager approval. Employees would have "friend" cut open seed or fertilizer bags and say they wanted adjustment since it was open. You could go up to $50 without mod approval, but if u did it too much the managers would been on lookout for you.

Locally it has become a problem with people cutting seed and fertilizer bags that sometimes they will post flyers stating no discounts on damaged bags AND they will not discount but take the bag from you and get another new bag. Then they will put a damaged bag pallet by checkout with various prices on the bags. They used to be really cheap, now about 10-30% off. So it seems they caught on to the bag discount many were doing. I have also noticed it is much harder to get a discount at the register for price matching, damaged item etc. They almost always want a MOD to approve it, sigh.
