I've run into the same thing. Some stores were good and pulled them some may have sold whatever they had at the .03 price. I did find one store 3-4 weeks ago that was the jackpot. About ~20ish penny fans but all in the overhead. Stacked 2 deep. This is a picture of about 18 of them lol

that's what I thought. I see some of yous posting about using the ladder's in store. It seems like every aisle I visit has employee in it. Not sure if I could swing the self climbing approach.

I couldn't find a ladder the other day so I grabbed a cinder block in the garden center for a boost and climbed up the rack. Got two hose reels.

The big ones? I don't think so. At least at Lowes and Menards you can't. Most stores have chains across the front hand rails. Ive seen some stores with little signs hanging on those chains saying Employees only. Technically customers aren't suppose to reach the top stock anyway. That's not the sales floor. That's why a lot of people have problems with employees.

Ive only seen the 3 step platform ladders that customers can use.

I used a paint extension pole to retrieve a box of epoxy that was (assumingly on purpose) pushed way back on a shelf

Got 7-8 I forget how many I scored but they were all the QTN110LE and QTN110E's figured I wouldn't bother with the smaller one in case my cover was blown. They were all on the first shelf in overhead so I pulled over a yellow ladder and was climbing the display to get the ones tucked behind. I do remember getting them for free though.

Those in the picture were on the 2nd or 3rd shelf in overhead and there was no way id reach them off of the yellow ladder and I didn't want an employee wondering why I was buying 25 bath fans in one trip lol

Bought one of the outdoor cabinets a couple of weeks ago at the $30.03 level. Two left and they went to a penny last week. I got one through sca a couple of days ago and went back for the other today at lunchtime. Thought I caught the sca attendent busy with someone else, but when she saw the big box she came over and scanned the box and the other items I had. She noticed the penny price and told me to just unload it and put it over to the side; she could not sale it to me for that price. I nicely said, "I believe you can" so she went and got the assistant manager who initially told me he could sell it at the last price of $30. I told him I'd like to have it for the penny it rang up, so then he said that the penny price indicated it was recalled and might be defective and could not sell it. I said "you were willing to sell it for $30". I remained nice and told him that I would be fine with whatever decision he felt comfortable with, but was not willing to pay $30.
He walked off to check with someone, came back, voided the penny sale, and said I could have it. His exact words were "We deteremined that we've received our credit, so it would just go in the dumpster; you can have it.' I thanked him, shook his hand and left.
The Ryobi trimmers (got 2) I also got for free; same type of interaction with the manager voiding my ticket (I had gotten past paying for them) and giving them to me. This was at a different store.

This is probably why HD has 27 different extended reach grabber tools online but all of them are "not sold in stores".

So I thought this was kinda funny, stopped by a Home Depot on my way home from work looking to find a husky air compressor(none to be found) and got on a computer at the pro desk. Lady behind the counter didn't pay any attention to me and I surfed away for about 20-25 mins checking prices on some things. She never said a word until another customer came in asking where he could find a two wheeled dolly. She hesitated for a min then leaned towards me and said" hey what isle do we keep the moving Dollys in?" Lol I said "I'm not sure off the top of my head let me check!" So I typed moving dolly in the app and directed the fellow to aisle 20! She thanked me and went back to doing what ever she was doing.

Sounds like my store, the less work you require them to do the friendlier they are! I bought a bunch of the ryobi radios when they dropped and while I was using the orange ladder to get them one of the employees asked what I was doing, when I told him, he informed me that a few more might be in the next bay! I'm guessing he didn't want to climb the ladder himself

Anybody want to sell me 3 of the smaller nutone fans without the light? Ive looked everywhere and have not been able to find any. I had one store that had them on a clearance cap but when I went back for them they were gone.

I found another paslode for a penny. Went to self check out and paid for it with my other item. However when I was trying to walk out, the alarm rang and the SCO cashier asked for my receipt. She noticed it was a penny sale and alerted the manager right away. Manager asked me if I wanted to purchase it for the last clearance price ($100.03) b/c that's the lowest she can do. I told her no, I know I can purchase it for a penny b/c I have done it before. She then asked me if I would purchase it for $50, and I agreed. I didn't want to call corporate or anything so I kindly agreed to pay. Granted I could have just kept walking since I already had my receipt in hand with the 1 penny sale, but this is a home depot that I frequently go to.

It was kinda bs how they charged me though. They just picked a random $50 item, and rang up that item and I paid for that item. Kinda shady IMO. I didn't care b/c I got the item for half off.

The Home Depot by my parents is the worst store ever. They NEVER have clearance pricing on clearance items when every other store in that district does. They have everything also. Oh well. Never going there again.

I could have taken that identical picture today. No stores have those around here but one and of course there are 3 of them stacked up just like that and still holding at $99 on the PCA.

I mean. It's only the things I'd keep that aren't on sale. This would mate up nicely with the saw!

The market really took a dive on those. I sold so many of them, then it just bottomed out. People are taking 10 dollars profit.

Thinking of returning the kits I paid $25 for and buying penny kits instead. No profit but makes my cost nothing (actually want to use the stuff for my basement)

I sold one last week (2.5 car tan)on eBay for $125. Was surprised someone would pay that when you can buy them on HD.com for $99
Might be the only way... That way shipping cost is accurate and known before a winning bid.
