I'd be interested in epoxy kits but I think shipping would kill any deal

Shipped mine via FedEx Home Delivery for $24 (29 lbs, with signature & $125 insurance). eBay gave a 23% discount for creating the label with them.

I bought mine at $25, so after shipping and eBay/paypal fees will be around $60ish profit. Not terrible

Been looking everywhere for the garage epoxy kits for cheap since i just built a new house but can't find any. In sure shipping would kill buying any from you guys with extras. Unless anybody is close to St Louis...

I forgot to search while at the store computer for it today but every HD I've been to has all the newer boxes.

Stamps..com. USPS or direct through FedEx. Shipping isn't that bad. I think adding signature is a bit overboard but to each their own.

i bought a few here a week or so ago. Not enough for what I need but shipping was pretty pricey. If someone had grey or clear they just wanted to unload I'd buy some cheap and pay shipping but other than that its rough to buy and ship rather than buy local. Just found a guy locally that is selling them for $50 for the 2.5 kits. Thinking about snagging the last of what i need from him if he still has them in a week.

Signature so someone can't claim they didn't get there package, that someone took it off their porch and then I lose out on $125 plus price of the kit

Understood, but I don't think that's an issue. If you ship to the verified address your protected. I think someone posted the proof before. You shipped to the verified address and the tracking number shows it was delivered to that address. Someone correct me if I'm mislead.

If it were me, there's no way I could be home to sign and it would get sent back. Then your out shipping anyway.

Pretty sure it was SPN that had that happen with a Nutone and what you said sounds correct. I never require signature but I do insure it.

Correct. I also bought the label through eBay, so it was the address that they provided.
I don't know how eBay would handle it if you don't buy the label though them though, and just upload a tracking number that you bought somewhere else.

I use shipstation, which pulls in the info directly from eBay. I think as long as the address is correct, you should be good.

Just brought that up so you might be able to save some cash on the signature part and not worry.

Well **** . . . . thought I had put "SPN training" to use and scored NuTone vents as I scouted the store first, then went to computer to use PriceCheck.

Bunch of NuTones in rafters . . . . NOT in computer . . but Rang up as follows:
. . . . 1001528564 . . . . . . $ 31.63 . . . . WTH !!!

Also had a slew of 1001528565 that I'm guessing are also $31.63 here. ****. However, now tonight I'm not finding those on HD website ?? :dunno:

What all else should I be looking for ??

Yeah, appreciated for sure.

I thought I read something on eBay about seller being fully protected with getting a signature from the buyer.

Probably but I think that had to do with high dollar shipments. Honestly I've shipped almost 20k in stuff since the beginning of the year and I haven't had a single package walk away from a doorstep.

Good to know. I guess more likely to have someone try to say an item has been damaged/missing parts vs not received at all.

I sold one last week (2.5 car tan)on eBay for $125. Was surprised someone would pay that when you can buy them on HD.com for $99
You have a weight on the 2.5 car kit? I don't have a scale to estimate with

Thanks.

I have a smaller digital scale but didn't fit on it. I went to the post office since it's a mile from my house and had them weigh it for me.

With mine packed in a box it was 28 lbs 7 ounces or something. I just rounded to 29 lbs since I was shipping with FedEx (cheaper)

Selling on eBay. If you use a service that provides tracking. The seller is covered (I think if you use eBay for the postage or not)b for any package that "walks". If the package is values over 750. eBay requires signature for you to be covered by their money back guarantee.
http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/shipping-tips.html

That's what I had read. And read it incorrectly

Man. The local home depot has 2 computers that anyone can use but I think it's because they're so good at pulling stuff off the floor. All I could find was the husky stackable caddy. Anyone know if this is a deal? uploadfromtaptalk1454555534328.jpg

I was at a store yesterday that showed 40 on hand and could not find 1. Asked a guy at the pro desk to look it up and the ******* tried pulling it up on HD.com he then asked someone in hardware about them and they said around christmas a box of 24 went missing during a shipment. That doesnt explain the other 16 though.

As to 1099. It's not a "eBay" threahold. It's an IRS one. Anyone who accepts 20k in charges and 200 transactions I. A calendar year via credit card or third party processor. Will receive a 1099-k. Previously such payments in excess of 600.00. Would be reportable on a 1099-misc. Now if you stay under that threshold. PayPal is not required to issue you a 1099, However you are still technically required to report all those sales as income. It's a big hole to his in as the IRS. Will not have and reporting on you if your under the threshold. However, If you get a random audit, The transactions are easily gotten from PayPal by the irs.

Is there any way to estimate shipping on Ebay BEFORE listing an item? I though mswol tried and couldnt find a way, but it would be really helpful for something heavy like the epoxy paint

Should be able to go to either UPS, OR USPS and use their shipping calculators to get an estimate on shipping an item somewhere..I just usually will use a zipcode in California and then far east coast, etc and at least it gives me an idea on what the potential worst could be.

Try shipping an old item again, and change the address and weight. Just don't submit.

Otherwise use the regular postage calculator on usps and take 10~20 percent off.

Yeah I've encounter similar story. Guy at tools section immediately 0 them out on his hand held scanner without even attempting to look for them, he said they are clearance and he no longer has any, although computer showed some in stock. He said something along the lines of how computer don't track Black Friday sales... I think this guy had them stash for him self because I started looking for the boxes on the rafters and he kept coming back to me trying to interrupt my search. Had limited time so I left.
