Scored my first penny item today the husky digital tire gauge i got three of them! I got a couple back when they were $2.02 so i knew they would be going penny soon so when i saw them on the shelf with the 9.00 clearance price still on them i knew they were going to be a penny! Now i am on the hunt for more penny deal. I thought it would be impossible to get a penny item in Minnesota i guess i was wrong!

Cool, they are out there you just gotta spend ALOT of your time looking. I bought that I'll price a long time ago, but it's accuracy is debatable. I guess for a penny it doesn't matter so much.

Thought I had these at a penny also the other day cause I couldn't find them in the PCA. Went to SCO and they rang up full price.

Not sure if the dewalt air hoses were posted, they're a penny now.

Also, looks like the Johnson levels went down to .03. Figured there's enough here. Burlington, NJ

I thought they would be on clearance across the country by now? There has been a few different levels $9, $5, $2.02 and finally a penny!

I planned on flipping these when they hit .03 but after hearing all the folks talk about the units rattling, I may not do it. Sure as hell don't want to sell them on CL and then have people calling back complaining about the rattle and wanting their money back.

I have the exact same concern. I was excited about these to flip once they drop to .03 but now I'm not so sure.

Don't be scared. The quality on these compressors is significantly higher than the dewalt ones and people flipped those. Mine worked fine out of the box. I think certain people in CT were drinking when they made that review. Jk Chris! I already flipped one at full price lol

I mean it's factory sealed. How could you possibly know if something was wrong? On the off chance they get one that is somehow defective there's still the warranty. If they aren't willing to bad for the no receipt warranty you could still go back to HD and get another one. But honestly I don't see that being an issue.

Actually I bet if I were drinking I wouldnt have noticed!

Id take a video or audio recording of it but everytime Ive done that, the gain on my cell phone makes the sound 1000x louder/worse.

Its funny my first one acts like kneeman said....lift it up or tilt it and the rattling stops. I think its something stupid to be honest!

I havent returned the first one I bought yet but dont want to resell it based on the risk the buyer might want a refund.

Nice to see a Minnesotan and one who has had similar luck with finding penny deals. Congrats on your first penny purchase. May I ask which HD's you frequent?

When I sell big ticket items, well somewhat big, I usually just give them a copy of my receipt with all pertinent info blacked out. Or if I remember I will get gift receipts for each item. Customers like it and makes the sell go even faster. This way if they ever need to use warranty they have proof of purchase.

True. I gave buyers of the Dewalts I bought the opportunity to open the box up and check it out if they wanted before purchase.

Went to a different store today and saw that they were in the husky clearance section again. Checked the PCA once again and they didn't ring up. Went to SCO to scan them and they rang up $5.82.

I actually want one to keep in my truck and I know the $5 price tag is still decent as we already have one in my wife's car. For some reason mentally I want to pay less!!!

Found these with Black Friday tags on them and still not at a good price..The turbo scrub has already reached .03 at some stores by reports. As has the air steerable as well. Guess black friday tags don't always mean anything.

Thought this was the jackpot. Date is from 11/14. figured for sure it had to be a penny..Wrong, still was full price when I had young kid hit with his handheld. Would have checked it myself but for some reason, the entire self checkout section shut down and they put the orange barriers up..you had to checkout at service desk..go figure.

Pulled a SPN just now at the Pro Deck. Store is empty and there are 3 computers with an employee using the middle one and one guy sitting on his *** at the desk area behind the Pro Desk chatting with another female employee about nothing work-related. She's about 6 ft from me and just says hi as I'm looking around. After a few minutes, a lady customer goes up and stands a few feet from the guy on the middle terminal. After a few more minutes, he gets off the phone turns to me and....

Him: Can I help you?

Me: No, I'm good. Thanks.

Him: What are you looking for?

Me: (since I was on the Dewalt Clearance page) I'm looking for a compressor.

Him: (clearly agitated) What kind of compressor?

Me: Hmmmmm...an air compressor.

Him: Well, what size?

Me: Is that really important? I'm actually looking for a specific model. (Then I point to the lady customer that was standing there for a few minutes waiting for him to help her) Why don't you give that lady a hand, she's been standing there waiting for you to help her?

Him: (pissed off look on his face) Well, this is the Pro Desk.

Me: That's great.

Him: (moving toward the lady customer) Do you work here?

Me: Nope, I'm just a customer using the computer like I'm allowed to. If you have a problem with it, feel free to go get a manager.

He looked livid as he went on to help the lady that was clearly standing their patiently while he finished up the phone call he was on before he decided to turn around and harass me.

Went there to pick up (2) Paslodes F-350's and decided to do a quick search of some of the things people posted over the last several days. Didn't find anything worthwhile other than the Wink item below. Still at the price in the photo but I'd pick them up when they hit .03.

If you really need one I'll see if I can get one. They were out by the truckload in pa. I only grabbed one for me and one for my parents

Sent from outer space using Taptalk.

Thanks for the offer, I'm sure they will drop here sooner or later, plenty in stock just still full price. The mop my brother wanted so he can waste some time looking for one , no need to go out of your way.

Okay, so I have been lurking. I have a reasonable understanding now of how the pricing works and have had modest success grabbing pennies ( several newtones, and some compressors). For the first time today I was actually had my transaction stopped in a most dramatic fashion. This was partly my fault. I shouldn't have tried to get another nutone penny while I was buying a few normal items. I was caught completely off guard when they penny rang up and the SCO began shouting at me like a crazy person about not being able to sell the item. I attempted to continue the transaction the SCO snatched the item and began swatting at my terminal to cancel the sale while I was paying. The sco had little success but then began madly swatting at the main terminal wailing about not being able to sell it for a penny and something must be wrong. SCO managed to cancel my whole transaction, and called the head cashier over who offered to sell it at last clearance. I probably should have taken it but instead I made a quip about just buying one off ebay. I was rather pissy about some psycho going off on me while I was checking out. Any suggestions as to how to handle this now / in the future. The main idea being that I want to keep harvesting pennies as they show up but not draw undue attention to myself as clearly happened here. I will be avoiding times when this crazy person is at the sco that is certain. Any wisdom to be shared?

Littleton NH was a bust today, waste of a long trip. Got 2 smaller penny NuTones, that's it.
Had a full cart of "penny" touchscreen deadbolts and levers, at least according to the price check app. Double checked the SKU and the UPC codes, all say penny.
Get up to SCO, they all scan full price.

The dumb part was, I forgot to check what the screen said on SCO as I scanned them. If they were scanning as a different model I could have pointed out that it was illegal per the NH Consumer Protection Act and gotten them for a penny, but I didn't think about it until I was half way home.
