No, it's bs that they said they couldn't discount any more off the $250.03 price because it was on 'clearance'. I purchase items at the $**.03 price all the time at other stores that take off an additional 10-20% using Lowe's or HF coupons. I even purchased the same shed at other HD's for $250.03 minus $50 each just for me asking.

Yes so have I. I bought a nailer 100.03 and got 49.99 more off.

It was posted why can't he return it and buy it for a penny. That is what is not bs, they won't do that.

Just a heads up alot of the husky/milwaukee/dewalt items cleared out of the system today. So they should all be pennies. dewalt bit sets, husky hand tools, milwaukee had a few items like tin snips. Haven't been following closely lately as priorities have shifted but managed to go out on lunch and at least have look on the computer

Thanks...will hit up a store or two tonight or tomorrow.

I never seem to have luck finding the Milwaukee stuff....most likely because I actually WANT it.

Gotcha. I bumped into mine while it was clipped on the middle of an aisle. Wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't bumped into it. Only one I've ever found

Here's some lighting I found. The tag had a December 2015 date on it. Checked PCA and the SKU did not come up. Scanned at a penny though. I called my friend to buy all of them since I have no use for it.

We must have walked past each other today - I was in the same store at approximately 1200. Walked through the lights, but didn't pay too much attention to same as I assumed the prices posted were correct. I did however score a penny purchase at the store - got 8 of the Stackable Storage Bins (see below). Saw them up in the rafters in the tool area. Very helpful employee offered to help get them down for me, but before he climbed up to get them he ran the SKU - showed the .01 price. He told me that they were reflected as being recalled (they have them all programmed to say that) but offered to call the manager to see if he would sell them anyway. Long story short - manager was willing to sell but only at the last clearance price $3.83. Told him no, that they should be sold for a penny as they came up and asked him to call a MOD that I had worked with before on a Schlage lock (lets just say that it rang up a penny, the SCO attendant refused to sell it to me and became beligerent - MOD was called and we resolved it without issue). He called the MOD who also said he would sell them but only at last clearance price.

Tracked down MOD who recognized me immediately. Reminded him of our previous meeting, the fact that he gave me his business card and told me to contact him if I ever had a problem in the store. Told him that the items rang up a penny and I would like to buy them for that price. It would appear that my face-to-face took the arguement out of him and he told the employee to sell all 8 of the stacking bins to me for a penny each.

Grizzlyjmg, you got lucky you had background with the manager. Since it was in the rafters technically they're in the right to deny the sale. Even corporate would side with them. But I hope you wouldn't call corporate over some stack crates. Glad you got em though congrats. Good find, got a pallet of them at one store but I'm a little gun shy on getting that much out the door after this past weekend.

ahh i got my penny picked out of my cart.. $100msrp item. i was not at sco but i was heading there. this was probably 25mins after i retrieved it via orange steps bc it was just out of reach of the yellow steps.
guy just comes up and says 'hey where did you get that?' scans it and says 'cant sell it. it has to go back to the vendor.'
i didnt fight it bc i didnt need it, didnt feel like messing with it and he caught me off my game... i halfway knew i was going to blow a gasket if i got into it with them too haha

pretty sure he saw me roll over the orange steps and i wasnt in the mood for playing the game. if you retrieve with orange steps youre technically SOL at corporate level anyways, right?

Knew that because they were in the rafters that they did not have to sell them to me for a penny, but after receiving confirmation from the employee (really nice guy - didn't like what the manager and MOD were attempting) that they were priced at .01 - but being recalled - and then told that they would sell them - funny they are no longer being recalled - at $3.83, thought I would have fun and pursue the matter. I already have 11 of these stacking crates that I found at two other stores, but given the this stores history (they treat their customers like cattle ready for slaughter) and the promise made by the MOD (I really glad he gave me his card the last time we met) felt I had half of chance.

Again, don't always go looking for a penny deal, most of my buys are at the .03 level, but when they put them right in front of us they should expect us to at least try.

Didn't take it as harping - you were passing on good info, which as you can see from 12three's posting not everyone was aware of. As for the purchase today, I wouldn't have felt too bad if I didn't get them, but I would be remiss - and not a true member of the GJ Home Depot Clearance Gang - if I didn't at least try.......Now if I can only find some of those 14" Rolling Tool Bags, which was the real reason I visited 8 stores in the last couple of days.

I'm keeping my eye out for the totes while I do inventory on the husky compressors since they're penny around me. But all the stores near me just did inventory are are about to so probably won't have any luck. I'm feeling a trip out of town this weekend.

Yes, I think a lot of us are waiting for the compressor to drop to the .03 Level but they are disappearing fast.

Think my sell return rebuy dreams ended on the quiet dewalt compressor lol. But they are coming down too!
