As to the comment by HDR, about shady things going on at some stores. I guarantee it. Was looking for the milwaukee fastback 2 packs, and store was showing 13 in stock. Looked and looked, finally asked a employee. He laughed and said your not gonna find any of those around. Asked about another item and he laughed. A word here and there and it broke down that hey I stashed that behind the customer svc desk. You see, when stuff drops we gotta wait 24 hours before we can buy them. So I stash them out until they drop.

Yup, that's great....HAHAHA

This might help in the future to find those hidden items, I'm selling them on eBay with GM discount :D

can't wait til the Bosch laser clearance frenzy starts up here in the Northeast.. You guys already have everything replaced with Dewalt?

Most of my local stores dont have the Bosch miter. The couple that do are still at full price unfortunately.

I already have a Bosch 12" SCMS but its not the glider.....debating whether its worth the $325 price (if/when I find one) to upgrade my current one.

ah I meant the laser levels and distance measurers. Haven't checked the price on that Bosch miter lately.. saw it at a few stores but it was still expensive. Don't even remember if it was on clearance status.

If I do happen to find a good cheap miter, it will be going to 06GMC. I already have the DWS782, which I love.

Ahh, gotcha.

I think those lasers were gone from my local stores a while ago. I dont ever remember them being clearanced so Im not quite sure what happened to them.

I have a Ryobi 4Tek laser distance measurer and it has more features than a lot of the Bosch ones that are on clearance, plus it uses 4V lithion rechargables. I dont use it often but I like it.

These are the "short boxes", 35 inches long. Seem to be pretty nice, They have a rubber seal that goes around the lid to keep things dry and a spot to run cords through if you wanted to run a batter charger inside it with the lid closed. My only complaint is they have detents or anything to stack them up like I have in the picture. If you where to bump them they'd go tumbling.

I bought a trailer full of HON's and others at an auction from FSU. I was going to build shelves in my trailer but decided to go with the file cabinets so I could pull everything out quickly if I had a car or anything else large I need to move.

I'm just trying to picture you walking up to SCO with 5 of those boxes haha

It actually worked out great! 5 on a flat bed cart, scanned one box 5 times, it was so big that no one could see the screen while I was scanning, set the box down, quickly dropped a nickel and headed home!!

If you like that scenario you'll love my next trick! Wish me luck and stay tuned! lol

just paid 54 dollars last week for one, gonna have to check the UPC might just be your HD still full price down here. might return it was going to use it for in the trunk of my cruiser.

I just checked at lunch and found one in the overhead and no spot on the shelf so I had someone grab it down for me. It rang up $54 as well though.

Also, I have a $20 off $200 promo code that expires today that I won't be using. PM me if you'll use it.

So i went back to the store that showed 36 milwaukee fastback 2pks but noone could find and they said a box was misplaced. When i first looked for them they were still $3-$4. Well i found the box.

Turns out they just wrote the wrong sku on the box.
36 cents later.

Was browsing and taking pics of boxes in the rafters to check sku's later, guess it got LP's attention cuz there was 2 guys clearly not shopping but kept an eye on me. I made eye contact with one to see what's up, he pretended to leave but came back with a cart and a random stick of wood like he's trying to purchase it, the funny thing is you can't even buy that stick of wood, it looked like he plucked it from broken down pallet in the back, hahaha.

Anyone here live in the heart of the beast?!? I.E. Anyone hit hotlanta stores? Have some friends that just moved there offering a couch and storage of any big items I may find. Thinking of making a weekend of it and see how good the stores are in the corporate center.

Nope, and none of the 7 million people that live here ever shop there either, :lol_hitti

Actually very slim pickings. I've scored 1 penny deal on AA batteries last year. I've spent hours and hours searching/driving to stores etc. If I factor in my time spent searching for deals, would have been better off paying retail and working those wasted hours. Inventory control has improved greatly around here and it is now rare to find a hidden gem in the rafters. Most items are gone at the first mark down or pulled from the store quickly.

You should have left and came back later with a fake beard and baseball cap on. Keep things interesting. Then you follow him around.

I keep 3 disuses in my car for this same situation. My favorite is the batman mask.

After the last find of Milwaukee knives up in the rafters, with hand written sku numbers that were extremely hard to read, thought about a plan. Take a old broom handle/long selfie stick etc and use a wifi gopro and have it stream video to your smart phone. That would make it much easier to read sku numbers 10ft up in the air and would surely get attention very quickly.

went back to the store in Dearborn today where the "shift manager" made a huge stink about penny items last week, said its against company policy to sell them Blah Blah Blah, last week I got 2 screwdriver sets, a 205 piece socket set and 2 of the peg boards.

today I walk in and notice the other 6 pegboards are in the same spot, load them onto a flat cart, along with 4 faucets, 10 of the stackable bins, a kohler shower head that pennied out 6 months ago, and head to SCO, scan first item cashier stops me , she calls the store manager who comes over and says "you cant buy those" then asks me to show him where i found them, so we took a walk the manager ,asst manager, and my cart full of stuff, I point out 4-5 other penny items i passed on, he scans them and loads those onto the cart after a 10-15 minute walk, he is pissed! tells the asst manager to get all the department heads in his office NOW, then tells me i can pick up the cart full of stuff tomorrow free, he handed me his card and made a list of whats there told me they open at 8am and it will be ready then.

On my way out i noticed they had an echo 590 chainsaw on one of the pro event tables as one of the prizes with noone around. This store no longer carries this model so it would likely ring up a penny thought about picking it up but i dont think i would have gotten far with it

Didn't even plan on hitting some stores today but grabbed those last 2 Ridgid drain cleaners, and the PD220 garage openers dropped to $22.02. When I went over there guy working area said grab em all caused they had just dropped. Was there yesterday and they were $44.04 and passed since I had grabbed a few earlier and wasn't sure how they would sell...sold them in 4 hrs so had to go back and was awesomely surprised to find the drop!

Only thing ***** is just enquired if I bought some a few days ago if I could get adjustment and he claimed no adjustment on clearance..going to try anyway since adjustment would be more than my 11% rebate on 2 at $44.04.

For any body in NorCal (San Leandro) there are 4 more of the DeWalt pancakes. They are penny out. They cancel my transaction and manager wanted $75 for each.

Once I told him this are penny out and that last time I bought 2 for $45 lol He accepted my offer, short lunch so didn't have time to try different methods.

I also had to drag the big *** leader to bring them down. They are a few rows behind tools where the nut and bolts are.

Good luck
