went back to the store in Dearborn today where the "shift manager" made a huge stink about penny items last week, said its against company policy to sell them Blah Blah Blah, last week I got 2 screwdriver sets, a 205 piece socket set and 2 of the peg boards.

today I walk in and notice the other 6 pegboards are in the same spot, load them onto a flat cart, along with 4 faucets, 10 of the stackable bins, a kohler shower head that pennied out 6 months ago, and head to SCO, scan first item cashier stops me , she calls the store manager who comes over and says "you cant buy those" then asks me to show him where i found them, so we took a walk the manager ,asst manager, and my cart full of stuff, I point out 4-5 other penny items i passed on, he scans them and loads those onto the cart after a 10-15 minute walk, he is pissed! tells the asst manager to get all the department heads in his office NOW, then tells me i can pick up the cart full of stuff tomorrow free, he handed me his card and made a list of whats there told me they open at 8am and it will be ready then.

Next time tell him "your welcome for help on inventory"[emoji3]

Makes sense.

Yea they don't hold the extra blades, but they sure aren't ****** the actually great little utility knives, I ended up buy 6 sets at 3.50 each gave a set to my father in-law kept the rest. real nice knives in my opinion. and at a penny really really nice.

Don't they open at 6?

Hope you get it. Why would he make you come back? What if you said I live two hours away?

They do morning meetings in the front of the store usually before opening but i have been in stores where it is 6:30 or 7am and they are doing the meeting. My guess is they are going to show the cart full of stuff and rip everyone a new one and then let him take it for free.

He probably needed time to fully insert his boot up the *** of every department head whilst they wrote down the suks.

Tell him one free $500 gift card a week. You'll come in and show him what to remove.

^ ^ ^ Should have offered to take ALL penny items in entire store next morning in giant box truck rented from Penske.

HD manager would have gotten his point across . . . AND . . . all those HD employees would have had their responsibilities to help load truck after they got their **** chewed out !!! :D

For any body in NorCal (San Leandro) there are 4 more of the DeWalt pancakes. They are penny out. They cancel my transaction and manager wanted $75 for each.

Once I told him this are penny out and that last time I bought 2 for $45 lol He accepted my offer, short lunch so didn't have time to try different methods.

I also had to drag the big *** leader to bring them down. They are a few rows behind tools where the nut and bolts are.

Good luck

I want to know the story of who and why these are being taken off the sales floor. They have the yellow stickers on them so I assume someone put them back up top. I've never seen the price changer go up a ladder and put a yellow sticker on but maybe they do

Spotted one of those trimmers today but figured I would hold off. Finally got around to buying a charger for the two ego weed walkers I got for a penny. Both batteries showed defective on the charger, went into that store just to test them on a display charger andddd still bad. Didn't want to risk controversy because the guy in the department was so helpful haha.

Same. The last three I got for a penny were up in the overhead with the $149 clearance tag on them so had obviously been up there for awhile.

Man, wish I could get those boxes, but my two close stores never have any penny items or cheap items that are actually worth getting.

FYI I think there are two models of Ego trimmer. The one that i saw drop to 53.03 I believe is different than the one that is currently at .06 level.

I think they are both straight shaft but one is a larger diameter swath than the other.

I think someone local to me has been watching this thread and snatching up my deals if I post them before buying. SO I've been holding out on you guys... Anything I'm really interested in anyways.

Here are a few things I've been keeping an eye that I've missed out on. These MDF boards where on the shelf, they disappeared the day before they dropped to a penny....

I was going to try and do a return and buy on the chlorine, but all the other stores that had them sold singles instead of by the case and I didn't want to chance it.

The Kind bars are DELICIOUS! Bought them all! lol!

Quick question.. You guys see any pitfalls shipping an heavy drain cleaner to Canada to their registered address under paypal(like 1200+) positive feedback. He wonders if I could ship it using his UPS account, see any issues? I'm assuming he must get a much better break than what I could give him..

If the address is verified, than you should be protected. I'm not sure how international works on PayPal. But I assume since Canada is our hat, there shouldn't be an issue.

did you specify the Global Shipping option? if so, i believe you would be shipping it to eBay's international shipping hub. Not sure if that also applies to Canada though. Once it shows delivered at the hub, you're golden.

edit: sorry, was it eBay??

Yeah ebay. I checked no international shipping but he would like to buy it, and just have me use his UPS shipping account. I'm sure he wants the shipping discount, which is cool. I just want to make sure the $$$ are secure. He's got great feedback,so thinking he's legit.

If he's got good feed feedback and it's really feedback, not like pez dispensers and stuff I would go for it. But I'm a little bit of a risk taker. I've shipped things to Puerto Rico recently of a similar situation. Canadians don't seem like the type to do a lot of scams.
