you don't remember the crumpled yellow paper do you? lol

also, at least Puerto Rico isn't international.

Ha. Well it's not really domestic either. I guess international has its risks. I would contact PayPal. If they guarantee the payment your good to go.

I assume that he was using UPS? Otherwise there's never a good reason to actually use UPS. Their rates are horrible.

Also, probably for the better. Never know with these eBay people whose gonna scam you.

one is 12" ($123.06 here, didn't check it again today) and one is 15" (full price here)
Do they update prices on days beside Monday/ Wednesday? Sorry if that sounds like a dumb question I just haven't noticed anything change thurs-sun before.

If he's got good feed feedback and it's really feedback, not like pez dispensers and stuff I would go for it. But I'm a little bit of a risk taker. I've shipped things to Puerto Rico recently of a similar situation. Canadians don't seem like the type to do a lot of scams.

In Puerto Rico, we are good guys

Anyone here live in the heart of the beast?!? I.E. Anyone hit hotlanta stores? Have some friends that just moved there offering a couch and storage of any big items I may find. Thinking of making a weekend of it and see how good the stores are in the corporate center.

There are tons of stores in the area. I don't think there are many penny deals to be had around here though. I try to buy at last clearance because they disappear quickly at that price.

Nope, and none of the 7 million people that live here ever shop there either, :lol_hitti

Actually very slim pickings. I've scored 1 penny deal on AA batteries last year. I've spent hours and hours searching/driving to stores etc. If I factor in my time spent searching for deals, would have been better off paying retail and working those wasted hours. Inventory control has improved greatly around here and it is now rare to find a hidden gem in the rafters. Most items are gone at the first mark down or pulled from the store quickly.

The Atlanta markets seem pretty dry being in corporates backyard. I think they are really on top of the inventory since i'm sure most of the exec's go in the stores. But thats a guess. I've found a few pennies recently but I think most of the it gets sold at the earlier clearance levels given the population here. I'm jealous of the ones where stuff just sits out in the open. Its def. work to find them in the metro area. Good thing is there's normally 5 or 6 stores in a 25 mile radius.

You guys that are shipping the PD220 opener, are you just slapping a label on the original box and sending it?

When I shipped an opener, I just got the brown wrapping paper and wrapped the box just so it wasn't obvious what it was.

I used to ship stuff by re wrapping it. But I just started slapping the label on it. Your protected by PayPal if it's delivered through the carrier and if you insure it, your good to go. Some people don't appreciate it when they receive it but I shipped an air compressor like that with no complaints.

Depends on the item for me..But the opener I wouldn't bother putting it in another box. I just make sure it says in the listing that it will be shipped in the original box so no surprises.

Have shipped mitre saws, fans, epoxy kits, weber grills, vacuum cleaners etc. For most of the stuff, if it's factory packaging your not going to be able to package it any better to prevent shipping damage. Most of this stuff was packaged in China thrown in a container and shipped over here. Then thrown on a truck or a train, into a warehouse, etc etc.

Only one I would maybe change is the kitchen faucets. The packaging isn't that great so maybe add some wrap to the finished pieces.

Saw these. They had them in black and white. Given the date thought they could be penny or cheaper but rang full price.

careful using just plain brown paper. As the paper is thin, you attach your shipping label to that. The brown paper tears and there goes your shipping label.

Really? When I was down there last year for training, I went to the one right by corporate. That place was loaded with pennies. Their clearance section was packed with all kinds of ****. Walked out with like 4 nailers and an old Ryobi bench grinder. Had to give away the grinder since I didn't have room in my luggage.

Didn't even plan on hitting some stores today but grabbed those last 2 Ridgid drain cleaners, and the PD220 garage openers dropped to $22.02. When I went over there guy working area said grab em all caused they had just dropped. Was there yesterday and they were $44.04 and passed since I had grabbed a few earlier and wasn't sure how they would sell...sold them in 4 hrs so had to go back and was awesomely surprised to find the drop!

Only thing ***** is just enquired if I bought some a few days ago if I could get adjustment and he claimed no adjustment on clearance..going to try anyway since adjustment would be more than my 11% rebate on 2 at $44.04.

I must have missed the post about drain cleaners and didn't see anything with search function. How much and what is the sku

They are $250..a little tough to find now. Actually nicer than ones they carry now. Went from 75ft down to 50ft.

Ha, maybe its the one right under their nose thats the worst. I probably used to go to that one as it was pretty close, unless there was a closer one. Wasn't looking for pennies back then though. Suburbs have been rough lately. Lots of METs.

That store is the closest to my work and I frequent it quite often for supplies. During the last year I have NEVER found any significant deal or close out. I didn't check it during the nailer time frame but the dozen times I have checked it when other local stores are showing discounts, they were the only store that was still full price or inventory removed. ***** sometimes when you notice they will have 12 of something in stock and the day I see it is discounted, gone.

If your really concerned I would wrap in it pallet/shipping cling wrap. It will be hard to find a box that fits and even then it could increase your shipping costs.

If it's a issue of not finding the right box make one. You can score the home depot boxes for very inexpensive in a couple different sizes and create the size you need. Again this doesn't offer much protection but it does hide the item. I would prefer this method rather then shipping a non disclosed item. Just my 2 cents.

Uline also has a good amount of boxes available but it's not cost effective unless you order a bunch of supplies, they will get you on shipping. Unless you live close to a warehouse for pickup.

I now have 6 iron fire pit inserts, all pennies. Now I just need some brick pavers to make the fire pit. Can never find any penny pavers/stone.

husky pegboard and husky extension cords. Been taking cords out two at a time from one store. I still have ~10 more trips to make.

it should have been pegboards (different store than the cords) but didn't feel like getting SCO watcher fired. This store screws its employees for letting penny items sell. So i went right over to CS and the MOD i've dealt with before said only allowed one. I wasn't in the mood to argue and with the mixed responses from calling corporate lately didn't bother. I only called corporate once when they tried to deny me my clearance shed at 250.

haven't been watching forums lately but reading a few pages back holy sh!t you guys going at each other and no one other than us regulars finding stuff.

easiest penny transaction ever. I found some of the husky track wall in the overhead. 3 boxes to be exact. Well the guy helping me out had checked his handheld computer and saw that it was a penny. He called his manager and manager said to let me have it for free. Also found a box of the husky baskets and the husky hangers. They wanted me to pay the last clearance price which I was fine with, but when the cashier at the service desk rung me up she sold all 10 pieces for a penny each. I guess the employees in this store knows about the penny policy. Wish all hd made it this easy!

Does anyone have anymore hangers they would like to sell? Please pm if u do. Thanks

If you are going to all that trouble, just buy a copper fire pit insert so it won't rust. No maintenance required is better than having to store the inserts and replace them every few years.

This  is what I do, but the other day a Fedex Kinkos manager told me they have to be shipping boxes, that they can't ship them with the HD ore Lowes logo on the outside? I was like I've been shipping items like that for months. no problem I'll flip them inside out :dunno:
