Just wondering if the Camillus, NY store got cleaned out by someone on here today or if the employees are working that themselves. I was in last night to check the Husky compressors and the 16" Homelite chainsaws. Prices were still at 06 in the computer. 2 compressors up in the overhead and 2 or 3 of the chainsaws on a clearance rack in the back corner. Just went back...they'd all dropped to 03 and were all cleaned out. Definitely ***** - just wanted one of each for myself.

In the PCA you can check when that item was last purchased. If it doesn't show any recent purchases, then that's a sure bet an employee is hiding it.

Oh thanks didn't know that. The compressors showed 2 on-hand yesterday in the PCA (the two I'd been watching in the overhead) and today it showed 0 so I'm sure someone bought them today. Just not sure if it's someone from here or if an employee is having a friend clean up for them (or something).

Grabbed a 16 inch chainsaw for $35.03. PCA didn't show any in stock, and I almost didn't check, but stopped by the chainsaws on my way out and found one. Sticker still said $132, and the SCO attendant wasn't comfortable with the price difference and called the garden manager who ok'd it. I ended up just selling it to one of my employees at cost on the way home. The 14 inch ones are still $99 here.
I also saw the Rustoleum products in the attached at .06 cents. I think these are different from the other floor kits that pennied out a while ago.

When you find the item on the PCA, click on the "Vender and PO" tab. Usually it indicates the date of the last purchase. Not always tho.

How good of a deal is the Ridgid 5700 watt generator?
it weighs 190 pounds and would be a ***** to move around, just to sell it for?
I know where 3 are at $299 but the Homelite Pressure washers are easy to flip for $150 so I am not sure whether to be interested in buying the ridgid generators or not......Any Guidance?

Yea that would be freight. And freight is $$$$$. Local or personal use only. I'd love to get one at the next drop for personal use.
Should have said pressure washerLOL. I agree, a Homelite compressor I wouldn't try. The pressure was sold for double before I made it home thru offerup! And have "presold" about 4 more. Gonna be busy in morning buy around 5 more or so. Glad they are easy to find and no ebay!
Also grabbed a 16" chainsaw. Was still $126 at my "home" store but manager called other store to verify clearance and gave it to me.Never had a store match another clearance price! But she would only let me take 1. Gotta watch others..Question is should I flip it. I just need something cheap to cut thru thicker bushes and couple logs here and there ..might use it less than 5 times a year. We'll see.

keep it and use true fuel so you don't end up with gummed up carbs next time use.... or you can prep properly after every use...
I don't think there is much flip profitiblity on these cheap brands.... maybe double your $$$....lot of work for $40 profit... now if you got it for a penny..then we're talking... I would rather let these sit up in rafters to penny out...

Probably not bad for just cutting up brush and whatnot. If you want something more long term invest in an echo or a husky, They have been outstanding in recent years. Stihl is still good but I don't think they've kept pace with the competition.
Gotcha..yeah I would use it sparingly around house. Maybe if I grabbed a few logs for fireplace and needed to cut down. Unless one of the nice brands clearanced wouldn't even think about buying one..just so happens wife wants to trim all the stuff around house for bulk p/u in a few weeks and some branches are 1-2" thick,so figured this would be quicker than me with my hand saw like I normally do it.lol. May wait it out for the flip side to see if I can snag at penny..but seem like its gotten a little harder to pull pennies off...We'll I did do it last week for a vac and steam mop..We'll see.
Do u not have a Sawzall? I use mine with cheap $2 wood blade and it will cut down trees 4 inches in diameter with ease.

What about one of those Ryobi jaw saws. I feel like that would work great for what you're wanting.
Has any one really used the husky compressor yet? Doing hard wood floors, tested it out and it won't cycle after 2 hours of use. Motors pretty hot all ready and its not like I was machine gunning it, compressor would cycle every 10-15 mins or so to keep up with the pressure drop. Letting it cool now and using the old loud pancake to finish the work.

Used mine with a framer and a palm nailed for a little while the other night. Worked fine. Haven't really load tested it. There's a 3 year warranty or you could swap it out. I try to put some pressure on it this weekend see if it can keep up.
Haven't seen em around here. But I'm sure they would work..So many ways to do it. Just gonna try the saw since it was cheap. If the chain saw ends up being complete garbage, really no, harm no foul for $35.

If it cant cut a 2-4inch twig I don't think they would sell it. I'm sure you will be fine and at that price you cant beat it.
The best chain saw review for these said use 40 to 1 oil ratio instead of 50 to 1, tighten the chain a little more that you normally would and use pure gas with no ethanol, but reviews saying the chain coming off and in turn ruining the chain are quite common with the homelite models.

I don't think i'd doubt the power as much as I would doubt the starting ability of it... like the Poulan gas leaf blower I had. Took at least 50 pulls to get the damn thing started every time. Echo back pack leaf blower, usually first pull, 3 pulls max.
Exactly!!! This is total overkill,but it feeds that need..Like how all men love to grill. And if it is does become really useful,THEN I can go after a expensive chain saw. Will post a review on it when I get to doing the "honey to do list".
Anybody snag them a Ridgid generator yet, or are you waiting for next price drop?
Looks like it just over heated. Let it cool and its working fine now. Guess its really light duty only. This one was a china made model if it maters. I saw some marked mexico. Nice and quite, not rattles like some had but doesn't like being run long.

I use this stuff, US2 oil. Best stuff I've used in a while. Non ratio dependent. I'll try to post it up when I get home. Tanaka makes some decent no mix oil also.

I used mine to install 50 plastic insulation vent baffles in my attic along with framing a 4'x4' area for storage.
Maybe I had enough time between firings but even after a couple fill cycles the unit wasn't hot and had no problem keeping up with the air stapler and framing nailer

I had a tug of war with a self checkout employee over a penny item (she won), then the head cashier came and refused the sale. I called HD corporate and they said that if the customer makes it to the register with the penny they must sell it to them at that price. She gave me her name and a phone number to call if they did not comply, she also called the store at my request. When it's filled, does it lose pressure at all? No leaks?
The only thing I see in troubleshooting is "an extension cord that is too thin or too long can cause the motor to overheat"
