He's not right, but he's not wrong. You giving the buyer the receipt? If not, what's the warranty worth?

It's not that big of a deal, you can always get around that somehow with the mfr. what are you going to do give him a receipt that shows you paid 1/3 what he's paying three weeks ago?

Had a lot of guys ask for receipt. Especially on the keter shed awhile back. Sure I'll email them. Whoops. Can't find it. Not telling them I paid 250. For something they bought for 700. HA

I printed gift receipts incase someone asks about warranty. It doesn't include any sales info on it. When scanned at the store it will come up with what it is.

Have yet to have anyone ask for one yet.

I just tell people sure, I'll give you the receipt, AFTER you pay me for it. Some funny reactions to penny chainsaw and nailer receipts, but no one ever complains since they are still getting a good deal.

I never had anyone ask me for a receipt on the sheds. They felt more comfortable when I'd tell them they were straight from the store, no auction or from the back of a truck. I sold 15 of them for $500-$600.

The only time anyone ever asked was this dude on Craigslist that said he was justified in his piss poor offer because there was no receipt. The he's like okay now that we got that out of the way when do you want to meet. Lol. So I didn't respond.

I also give out gift receipts on big ticket items, especially like when I sold those drain cleaners. Helped whoever register for Ridgids lifetime warranty. Also on ebay helps item sell faster I believe. Alot of time will give em the gift and original with all PERTINENT info blacked out and made unreadable just so they can see the gift receipt does indeed link back to original purchase. No big deal, and if it moves a sale along, cool.

I also spoke to soon just sold 2 freaking chainsaws in 1/2 hr. Crazy how it works sometimes..Now gotta go find some more later, hopefully anyway..Oh, unloaded my 16" inchers for $80.

Also found out why I could never find those 13" Milwaukee boxes..Looks like HD got to em first. Their is a auction house about 30 minute drive that has a TON of them things sold..2 usually went for $30ish.. And a ton of their stuff is clearance stuff and such.May go Tuesday just to investigate..

Do people get receipts when you buy stuff on eBay? I have never gotten one. And need be just take it back to the depot and get store credit lol. Maybe Im wrong, but I've never asked or questioned for a receipt when buying on craigslist or apps especially when its sealed in box. I don't know though.

Anyone ever try flipping water heaters? Got a couple of the Rheem heaters on sale around me I might try and flip. This one retails at 900-1000

Small hall today. Hit two stores.

Watching a bunch of pass and seymour outlets at .03 in one store.

Is it bad that I'm waiting for all that spring black Friday stuff to go .03 or penny status?

i saw those timers.. not for cfl or led, so i figured not worth the $5.03
also the black and decker battery bank was still at .02 status at one store

Actually I do give receipts ALOT of the time on ebay.Just goes back to once again it makes buyer feel better. I've only had 1 person ask about warranty in person.Unfortunately he didn't get a receipt.:dunno: People have to know that they aren't going back to store with item with receipt to get more than they just paid you..At least I hope they aren't that dumb!!

Random question for anyone in the know -

I found a few pallets of something but all that is taped to the front are the sku (usually very helpful) but they do not show up on any HD app or website searches. Google also shows nothing. Store PCA shows nothing as well leading me towards potential penny status. Dates of expiration range around 10/2015 area so I'm very curious based on where I can search for an old sku. If anyone posted an image in the 2015 thread I'm somewhat SOL.

I AM current on all 377 pages of this thread with no help thus far. Anyone have any thoughts?

I have one of those timers. It works fine with LEDs. Been turning on my two front porch lights for a few years now.

Spent an hour wandering a store yesterday looking for Husky compressors. They supposedly have 9. I found zero.

Found six of these today. Bought two for myself at $10 a few weeks ago. Already have one away to the widow next door that makes bird houses. Inv says there are five more. 😄

Sku #s

1001-206-149
1001-206-139
1000-530-031
All appear to be chamberlain, however the model is not easily read.

I am very familiar with site searches however since no one has posted these sku numbers directly as text I get no results.

I have been scanning all posts with "chamberlain" or GDO to see if any of the attached images have anything of value but none so far beyond the standard pd220, hd220, and hd750wf

In the appliance section this morning looking at a few items on the computer. Nobody around. Kid that works there says hi and asks if I need any help. Nope I tell him.

A few seconds later, a short fat lady that works where stops and just stares at me for a few seconds. She asks me if I work there or am I a vendor. Tell her neither, I'm just a customer and a shareholder. She give me the whole "these computers are not for customers" spiel. I look over and tell her she might want to check with Corporate on that as they say otherwise. She looked kinda miffed as she stormed off.

01snake, here is what I give people..shows purchase but no other info..This is enough to register for warranty...Sometimes I block store info so They can't call and check price, but most times after sell I don't worry about it. I'll give em originals if only one purchase is tied to that receipt, otherwise they get a COPY of original receipt with original gift receipt. Main thing is I'm showing I bought it legally, your gift receipt is tied to purchase, and you can register it or receive warranty work if needed. That number under HD Barcode is all any place needs to verify purchase with HD.

They said it's down nationwide. They are still accepting cash and check so doesn't affect us penny dealers

System is down in California too. Had a husky compressor for 43.**. Didn't spend much time looking since I only had a quarter in my pocket other than my cards. Plus the store I stopped at had SCO closed.

In my ad for the Husky Compressors I mention that it is a rebadge of the California Air Tools Compressor and also link to two youtube reviews of it which also show the husky and the CAT compressor together and discus any differences.
I sold 5 at $130 and I could sell more.
Havent sold a 16" chainsaw yet at $80
Ryobi gas hedge trimmers have very little interest at $90
