i got one of those werner platform ladders posted afew pgs back, dusty but nice for doing something in the10 foot range (ie ceiling fan).
black and decker battery packs were still at .02
and lastly i have a source for dewalt heated jackets in L,XL,XXL. black only
they are bare, so no batteries

I read somewhere that regular HD employees are allowed to offer up to $50 off any transaction. Anything above that, it has to get manager approval. Anyone have any luck just asking for discounts?
Also, what if you're looking to buy like $1,000 worth of clearance stuff, any luck in negotiating a flat discount with a manager?

Feel like I got duped lol, store had 4 in stock, got all 4, didn't realize one of them was actually missing the air accessories. Found the Jacks though woo.

I just did it when i bought those generators saturday. When he got both down(5700 and a 6800) I was like, could I get 25% off last clearance price on each one. He didn't hesitate to say yes. So is possible, but have been told no by other managers..Last week when I told a manager I would buy all 5-6 Ridgid generators at that moment in her store. She said no.

This is true. Every employee carries $50 in their apron. But I think they can only do it once a day for 1 item.

In my local travels I've only seen 2 out of 20 stores having any hiding around in the overhead. Probably just going to buy them because I'm an idiot lol....and when they do, ebay, craigslist, etc. will be flooded with them

Mill town nj shows one in stock. Couldn't find it.

I asked about that today. He claimed it comes out of the store's pocket so no deal on clearance stuff? got the same line from that store before on a display tool when they couldn't find the one in stock.
How long did it take for the rebates to go from pending to approved or denied? Just got e-mail that mine are pending about 6 days ago. Then the site updated making it a pita to find without the tracking numbers... They all still show pending.

Store has 4 of those nailer kits, I got one at $76.00, will check tomorrow, I know I can get like 12 from different stores if they are $25 now, then flip at the pawn store lol

Where in Md? I knew of a store with a ton of jacks but was there this past weekend and they were all gone. Found plenty of other clearance like chainsaws but they were still around $100, I guess first markdown. The two I go to.. Gaithersburg and Frederick are always a total bust..
I personally hate the Gaithersburg store, but its 5 min from work.. so I venture over.. and its usually a worthless trip...
I am not looking to stock up, just get some deals...

I go to about 3 HDs that are local. All of them have a small clearance rack with sometimes a hidden gem, problem is is that they are always on first markdown. Could I take a bunch of things and move their place in the store (like shop put it in my cart and then later decide I don't want it and drop it somewhere on a shelf) and then go back in a few weeks?

I see a lot in silver spring but I don't live anywhere near there so I don't check there much at all. I usually see a good bit at Gaithersburg but it doesn't drop below .03 levels and I never want it/not interested in flipping stuff. Germantown seems to never drop price levels on anything I'm interested in. And Fredericks two stores are hit or miss for me. I've run across some great deals but I usually have no use for the stuff and I just leave it.

My store had none of the items that were posted recently. They do have the 30 gallon compressor but it's still high. Wish I would have been able to get the framing nailer kit, been looking for a good deal on both a framing nailer and a palm nailer. I did walk out with a couple larger mag lite flashlights for only 5 bucks each though

Trimmers at $45.03 at most stores..just visited a store where another showed stock at. Got there and couldn't find em in their pca. Found associate we put in number and they were already at penny status!! Go figure. We both walked store and couldn't find em.
Said they had 8. At $24. I figured I get one at least for personal use. Couldn't find it. I asked for help. When they ran the sku it showed penny on their hand held. Other old guy said oh they are penny now. If you find them they are yours for a penny each but technically they all should've already been headed to habitat for humanity, that's were we send all our Pennie items.
Could use one or two of these but Im amazed at how quickly they seemed to have disappeared at my local stores. Each one of them had a whole bunch of them then all of a sudden none.
Maybe they actually did get donated somewhere.
Unless you know you need that jack, I'd pass.
I have one it is great for small tight areas but I honestly wouldn't trust it lifting half my Honda.

Found one..thought they were all gone.
On another note,met a guy in store doing same as me.His cart was FULL of 3pk husky air hoses. Claimed he did it for a living and hunted every store in Chicago area..showed me his phone and freaking looked like their pca..LOL. he couldn't believe he missed this pressure washer. Just goes to show enough for everybody.
