26 in across (52 inches) going to be a perfect fit for $140 invested for a $500 tool box

Should have negotiated the 2 26" and 52" bottom for the $125 IMO.

I bought them at another store yesterday or maybe would have worked. Just been wanting a larger tool box so was happy with it. Weird that box says 1of2 and they can not find box 2. Employee said 'maybe some bought just the top' silly man![emoji15][emoji15]

Where do you guys sell your nice finds? I would love to have one of those jacks.

Kneeman isn't exaggerating. I have one and it's small and very light duty. The only car I use it on is my Corolla. I wouldn't even try it on a full size car.

I have a hard time believing someone is capable of doing 3million in sales in a year.

That is next to impossible IMO.

Yeah, figured he was blowing some smoke out of is ****..He may he ******** but most definitely some exaggerating going on..as long as I keep finding deals I'm good!!

Them tool chest are TOUGH to find!!got a store that showed 5 in pca, but they can't find any!!! At least 2 people called while we were looking for them. Really hilarious. Only bad part is I could have scored one this morning and I passed because I figured I could do some wheeling and grab all 5. Now I could be a$$ out altogether..what ya gonna do. Did grab some husky Nailers . Altogether not a bad day.. just hate my time is limited so trying to get in and out of each store..

He also has a small cottage in the downtown area. Various people sleep there and tell tales of unicorns and rainbows.

if he's bragging about it, its probably NOT true. IF someone found that many deals and was making that much $$$ from it, they would fly under the radar from other deal hunters.

It seems like most of those tool chests just vanished. Around Christmas time, stores had a bunch of each, and you know damn well that 95% of them didn't sell.

We had a guy make several 100k back in the day when I worked there. He lived in very expensive house and car and was unemployed. Didn't understand why he would fill up his truck multiple times a week. At that time I was a teenager and didn't know the value of a dollar or the cost of nice tools. This was also in rural Mississippi/Louisiana over 10 years ago.

He just entered the store I was leaving from with my nailers. Was sitting out in parking lot putting a few offers up and low and behold I see him heading into the store.LOL..He is putting on some miles.Hey good for him, there is just too many stores and deal hunters to keep it all for yourself..

Don't know who coralnut is but just remembered this guy saying how he never goes for pennies..too much trouble. I do know he is getting around though because we discussed a hard to deal with manager at one store and how 87th and Dan Ryan sucked..

Calling this one a day..

I've seen a bunch of small Milwaukee boxes lately? Anyone else see those.

I actually just saw my first full set of the Milwaukee two piece box setup a couple days ago. Not sure if its the older version on clearance or the slightly newer one that isnt. If you are talking the small plastic boxes, I saw them all the time until I...didnt. Now that they are clearance priced I cant find them anywhere.

I also just found another 41" Husky setup but for some reason I think those went back to regular price after the low of 132.03 or whatever it was.

Despite what everyone is saying those 1.5T "racing" jacks are really handy. I've got 2 in my shop and wish I had more. I don't trust them anymore or less than any other jack, which is not at all. No matter how good a jack is your life is literally at the mercy of a .05 o-ring.

It's like a 41" 2 piece box set. Looked kind of new? But smaller than the holiday stuff.

So there is always one store around that has all the inventory while the rest drop and even if I walk it the minute they open the day an item drops to .03 on the larger stuff it is magically sold or spoken for. Wasn't going to let it happen this time. Local store with none dropped to 125 while the store with inventory said ~380? price. Went and bought all three and drove directly to store without inventory. An hour and a half talking with cheaper store manager he said wouldn't return rebuy. Got every story in the book. Can't do it because I can't refund that much. You can only do one. There is a glitch in our new pricing system. You know proprietary information and must be an employee. We see you in here all the time and even though I saw you buy that $400 generator saturday I'm not taking the loss on the return rebuy.

Whole time I'm very polite, once they go through all that and are trying to shove me out the door I ask the manager a question. Are you a national chain? Yes. If I buy something at another store, I can return it at any store as long as I have my receipt, right? Yes. Then I would like to return these three toolbox's here. Can you get an employee or two to help me unload them? His jaw hit the floor and just stood there like I couldn't be serious. I said I don't need them that bad at the higher price. I'll wait for you to put them out on the sales floor after I return them or if you defect them it isn't any sweat off my back. So a return rebuy later we went from 1200 to 400 and this pretty picture.

You're lucky. If I was the mgr I would have returned them and left them in back. I'm glad you got what you want don't get me wrong, but every time you hear anyone get forceful it never seems to work out.

One guy on here tried that with one box and he said the new store wouldn't even take it back at the receipt price. I think it was a 52" box and he asked to do a rr and the ngr looked at it and said no. Then he said I'll just return it and the mgr said I'll only give you the 03 price.

It was in the 2015 thread.

I've never really fought with any of the managers except when they held unpaid inventory that I wanted to buy. I had a problem with that. I never got forceful, if it wasn't going to work then take them back, I genuinely didn't care as I tried this on my lunch break which means now I have to stay an hour and a half longer.

I'm not positive that they can do that, I believe that the corporate policy would be to take it back with paid receipt. They don't have to sell it to you, but they probably need to honor the company wide policy. I don't think that it says, only can be returned at original purchase store. no?

Yup, union bricklayer in the Chicago land area. I'm debating at this very second about going to get one of those Husky 52" toolbox set on clearance..REALLY wanted it.Was there earlier, and should have just bought it and held it up at least. With my luck I'll go back and it will be gone!DAMN!!!!!! Only thing working in my favor is no price on them at all,and not in aisle or anything..Got a feeling if I don't bite, might be left out on this one.
