These tool carts just dropped tp .03 at my local store...now I just need to pray no one buys it before it drops to a penny :pimpflash:pimpflash:pimpflash

I am contemplating buying them all tonight. My store has 3 sets (top & bottom) on the floor and another 7 or so sets in the rafters. But I dunno if flipping them will be worth it.

i left them. they had quite a few and i was tempted. i looked around for the 52in unicorn until closing time. said 1 in stock but it was nowhere to be found. i knew better than to ask at that store bc they would just **** around until close then 'find it' at 10:01 or whenever my car pulled out of the lot.

imo the 27in/26in combo is going to take up a lot of room for the flipper types. plus those things are really easy to dent up in transit. i would imagine its a narrow profit margin too since its heavy duty but small.. too expensive for the poor ppl and too small for everyone else. i think youre playin with fire unless you have lots of room or an alternate use for these little ones.

im fairly certain that they are not the same as the ones that were like $20-$30 from a yr or so ago. these are the heavy duty variety for one, and i believe they are also the slightly taller ones that do not require a middle box at all. i think my craftsman boxes are basically identical to these, and they are a decent deal for a small space.

Had a new experience tonight. I found a Husky 52" in the rafters, as well as a 27"/26" combo, also up high. This was where I got the original 52, and another 27/26 combo last year, and paid last clearance, even though they'd pennied out. Later got a 34/33 combo there for 2 pennies, after they gave me all kinds of bs stories about why they couldn't sell them at all. Tonight, when the associate looked up the 52" sku ($125), he wouldn't get someone to help pull it. Told me he had to get a manager's approval because I "always seem to know about items that aren't supposed to be on the floor". WTF!?! When the idiot comes back, I asked about the other 4 showing in inventory, saying I want to buy them all for pickup this weekend. He had the nerve to tell me to tell I can pay for them all at CS, and they'll find them and pull them for me. Silly me, for thinking I'd like to actually see the other 4 sets, in the flesh, before I paid an extra $500+ on an HD promise. :dunno:

In the end, they found 3 of the 5 sets, and pulled them all for me. Maybe I should have just paid for all 5, then they would have had to find me 2 more somewhere else?

How much are you going to ask for the 52"?
Trying to decide whether to buy one or more myself.

question, does HD usually mark things down the next level on a specific day of the week? I.E. do they go down on mondays for example has anyone noticed or is it just whenever they get to it?

some stores do some stuff on monday; then some other stores do many of those same markdowns on tuesday.

some stores do some stuff on wednesdays; then some other stores do many of those same markdowns on thursday.

so basically theres an early week markdown and a midweek markdown

Checked the store by work they have two of the Husky 52in boxes on the floor for $125.03 and two of the Dewalt boxes in the rafters for $200.03. These are really tempting, I'd just have to find transport for them and space to put them...

CR what part of south fl are you in. I'm interested in one of the 52 inch. can't seem to find many in the Miami area. Not flipping them? to big and takes to much space, need one for personal use. :dunno:

for those of you who watched or are watching the 30 gallon compressor (i think the regular price was around 439 or so) how long did it take to go from level 6 to level 3? found a store with one, i know it varies from store to store but just wondering if there was a pattern with them since a new model of it came out. thanks. sorry for all the questions lately, starting to get the hang of it. i can see why watching HD's deals are addicting!

I was able to call and pay for one of the 30gal compressors yesterday for pickup this weekend.

Should be a nice upgrade from the 15gal Craftsman I currently have.

That lawn mower would be nice deal to keep.

Exactly what I was thinking. I was wondering if something like this ever hits for a sweet price.I think I asked once if anyone gets any riding mowers like this, but nobody replied so assumed maybe this wasn't possible on those. Good to see there's hope!

That mower has been the same price at my store for about 6 months.

I found one of the Dewalt table saws for $200 that I'm considering. Anyone have one and what do you think? How long have they been $200, considering if I should wait for a drop.

If you need it grab it. Based on its history the next drop won't be significant enough to matter. At least that's my advice.

Do you need a table saw? If so, I wouldn't hesitate at that price. These are getting hard to find around here. Haven't really been paying attention to them that much though.

Don't forget to get your 10% "customer service" discount.

Don't wait for a smoking deal on something that you actually need, or you'll end up blowing your chance.

I just advised a friend to buy that DeWalt table saw yesterday. A local store had one left in overhead so I figured we'd wait but oddly enough someone at the store actually took it out of overhead and put it on the shelf sometime over the weekend.

Once it was there I told him to buy it before it disappears. Will keep an eye out for a price drop and then try to get an adjustment.

The lowest I got one for last year was 150, so 200 isnt horrible.

I wonder if you use a coupon, then get a price adjustment if it just credits you the principle or if you loose the discount. Might be risky business.

I didnt know about the "10% off customer service" discount that someone mentioned so its always been buy at whatever current clearance price there is.

I have had issues with price adjustments on clearance items *when purchased at a clearance level price* (i.e. .06 level getting price adjusted to .03 level) so buying at 200.00 might actually work in our favor.

When I went to get the Husky compressors adjusted I heard the cashiers say "its on clearance" and the manager responded with "but he didnt buy it at a clearance price so we can adjust it" (I bought them at 99.00 just before they dropped to 98.06). Im sure if I threatened to return them altogether they might have caved but was glad I didnt have to.

Do they actually have it? I'm assuming you didn't grab it if they do..

Yes, I spotted it up in the overhead outside. I kept watching it hoping for a drop but it never happened. I didn't buy it at that price point since the reviews are so poor.

That hitachi is nice, I have one similar to this by Delta. Nice to have some nice connections with vendors to get some really nice blades free of charge. :)

I've had a hitachi table saw for 8 years or so - use it sparingly but heavy repeated work when I do and it has held up great!

Looks like a new Menard's 11% Match is posted. You guys are just sending in receipts for the highlighted week right?

https://www.homedepotrebates.com/11percentmatch/

Figures, I didn't buy anything in that time frame....

Yup, union bricklayer in the Chicago land area. I'm debating at this very second about going to get one of those Husky 52" toolbox set on clearance..REALLY wanted it.Was there earlier, and should have just bought it and held it up at least. With my luck I'll go back and it will be gone!DAMN!!!!!! Only thing working in my favor is no price on them at all,and not in aisle or anything..Got a feeling if I don't bite, might be left out on this one.

Do you know the Elliott Brothers? Father too but he retired long ago! I labored for them for a year, got accepted into the apprenticeship program but screwed that up before I made it to Indy......

Do they actually have it? I'm assuming you didn't grab it if they do..

If you're not in a rush start tearing the clearance sticker off it and wait

Seems crazy when they aren't pennied out. HD reduced the price to sell them and this guy doesn't want to let them go. They should have those sitting at the front door with a $125 tag on them and they will sell right away. You are helping them out by finding them.

You probably just ran into incompetence mixed with a lack of business sense, but you may have disrupted an employee scam. Given that you found big penny items in the rafters before it is probably the former and not the latter.
