Not on clearance here yet, I watched them stack the last one top on the chest and start rolling them into the store...
Seems like they are reusing the SKU. I would expect them to stay at $498 for a very long time

Does anyone have any copies of the previous Home Depot 11% rebates in PDF or could scan an email? Looking for any of them from the past couple months. I forgot to save or print some out.

Would be very appreciated!

The ones in the boxes are the new ones right? And the ones on the pallets are the clearance ones? How many did you score?

Correct. 2. One for me one for the old man. Although I was sort of mislead by the whole quiet compressor thing. Whatever. Can't beat the price.

Are these 46" boxes the ones that are $75?

Alright, I learned 1 of 2 things today:

1) I really **** at finding these awesome deals
OR
2)My area doesn't really have any of those awesome deals.

I did eventually find clearance sections in each of the HDs I went to. They were either in the back of the store or on an obscure end cap near the tool section but they didn't have anything worthwhile for me. Wasn't looking to flip anything just trying increase the number of toys in the garage.

I also learned that any computer that is facing the public has employees hovering over them so that you have to go through them to look something up. At least that's my experience thus far. Going through the aisles looking at the rafters wasn't fruitful either.

Now that my complaining is done I do have a question for you pros out there. Do you find that the newer stores have less clearance items or items that aren't worth your time or does it just vary by store and time of year?

Re: Home Depot Clearance Thread 2015

Dang. Found 69 pennies and sco is closed. Debating just carting them all up to a normal register and rolling the dice.

Extension cords? Or what did you find? Met sends a lot of the pennies to Bargain Mart

Edit - yep, ext cords. What stores do you frequent?

In my experience It's a matter of how organized the stores are. When I walk in I can tell about right away how my finds are going to go. The messier the better. Absolutely love stores in the rougher parts of town.

Nice, from my research if it is the C301H it is the same decibels as the newer one so it should be pretty quiet. I pick mine up saturday so i will see. It also says you should run it for 20 mins to break it in and them change the oil.

I agree. I like a nice and dirty store. A lot of times it's In the city, but a lot of times it's where the turnover rate is really high. **** just gets overlooked because the employees are busy with other stuff. The one store I go to always has ****. But I'm not the only one in there. There's a lot of people getting lucky or going after it, either way it's an interesting dynamic.

The Pros do not look on the clearance racks or use public computers, rather they know what is on clearance already in their head or have a list for each department of what to look for in top stock based on the sku numbers.

If the store is on top of their inventory, they will bring the clearance items to the endcaps and they will be gone within hours usually if they are at the .03 stage. Due to the number of items at Home Depot though, items often get missed or they are behind which leaves deals to be had in the top stock.

I am finding several of the 52" Husky boxes, but no Dewalts around here. I like the drawer configuration way better on the Dewalt.

This.
Unfortunately most of the stores in the North Texas region are relatively clean, organized and in the (upper scale) suburbs.

I think I saw it in the middle of the top shelf behind some other husky boxes. I ran out of time tonight to get some help, but will be back in the morning to get someone to fish it out for me. I am sure it is there to penny out for someone, but I am gonna get it!!!

For anyone that bought the 52" tool chests...Did the 2 boxes fit between the wheel wells of the pickup? They should, according to the measurements:
Packaged dimensions (approximate comes in 2 separate boxes):
chest- 56 in. W x 22 in. D x 26.2 in. H and 146 lbs.
cabinet- 56 in. W x 22 in. D x 37.8 in. H

Can anyone confirm?
thanks

Found this penny zip tied to an end cap. 816766 is the SKU. Picked up a husky 30 gal compressor to flip since I don't need anything that heavy duty, and I got the $45 portable husky the other day for personal use. Also found 4 extension cords for a penny each. One store showed 5 in stock on the 3 pack of air hoses, but I could not find them anywhere unfortunately. Bought four of the EGO trimmers so far. Two for personal use, and two to flip. Asking $125 each, and had some nibbles but no bites yet. Only been posted for a few hours though. There was a display that had been rained on at one store that was missing the charger. The jerk I talked to wouldn't come down from the $45.03. I only wanted it for the extra battery. Didn't find anything else worthwhile.

that acurite in particular is an odd beast... it shares a sku with a newer version in a slightly modified smaller package... i think it only pennied out in stores that do not carry the new model... i found multiples of the old one covered in dust and the new one but as soon as the new one hit the system the price on the old one changed over to match the price of the new one. at one store it did that at .06. ***** bc i actually wanted one, but no chance at $80 or whatever

Just snagged 3 of the 3 piece DeWalt cordless kits, $140.00 each.

"Specialty services" employee pulled them down for me then gave me a "holy $hit" when I told him what they would ring up for (of course I waited until they were securely in my shopping cart before divulging that info)

im shocked no one here is talking about them... the 3piece brushless with the hammerdrill is awesome. the cases are awesome too... check the little booklet on the outside of it to see how functional it is... i bought the 3 piece brushed kit first bc i didnt know if i would find brushless, but i actually recommend buying the 3piece brushed kit at $100 for the case alone... it latches onto the larger case that comes with the brushless set, and it has a pretty cool drop down compartment specifically for bits that the larger case lacks. the larger case from the 3 piece brushless set is a lot larger than the tools that come in it, but the case that the 3piece brushed kit comes in is perfect for the drills and your common use bits. and like i said it simply latches onto other similar dewalt cases.

i just dont see how dewalt gets away with so little information on the box and their website in regards to measured specs... nowhere does it say the 2 batteries are 2.0ah, and i still havent found torque ratings at all, just some weird power measurement that no other mfg uses.

when you guys are talking about finding something in the rafters... are you talking anywhere in the store high above, or a certain part of the store, or the areas above where they would normally stock them?

All over, although my local stores seem to be getting better about keeping stuff close to where it belongs

Anywhere. The night crew usually stocks the overheads and the less they give a **** about doing a good job the better. One of my local stores night crew looks for the first available space in the overheads they can find to place overstock from the receiving area in the back of the store.

gonna head out here after work and try my luck again, maybe i missed something. we have some weird employees at our HD. the first time i went out a couple weeks ago and tried to find deals i was walking through some aisles and an employee asked if he could help. i just said i'm cruising the aisles looking for deals and clearance. he said all the clearance is in one area, they leave nothing on the floor thats getting clearance, it all goes to the clearance area. (he was real weird about it) then i pointed to the husky 30 gallon behind him marked down at .06 level and i said "you mean like that?" and he said "well once in a while there is a mistake". i then asked him where the public computer is and he asked why i wanted to know. i said because i want to use it. he showed me, and finally left. then another employee asked if he could help me, i said yeah i need to use the price check app. he opened the internet and said "this is all we have, the same site that you can get on at home" i waited until he walked away and closed it and got it going myself.

after finding nothing, i did buy a couple gallons of paint i needed, went to the self checkout, and a cashier walked up and said "you ready to check out" i said ".....yeah...." and she took my paint and rang it up on the self check out, asked how i wanted to pay, then when i told her with a card she pressed the card button. i literally asked her to move away from the card swipe machine so i could enter my PIN number.

i tell you, its scary some of the people working in home improvement stores

I'm not really sure why you would advertise to the employees what you're doing. You need to read the thread more.

Found two EGO trimmers keeping them well at least one my father in law might want the second one. Had to hit two different stores. The first store had it in the garden section for months when I saw it I was surprised since it had the 45 dollar clearance tag on it. The second store had two in the garden section but when I got there only one left. That one had the old sticker. Oh the Pelican coolers are back but these are the larger 65 quart ones for 299 each. I've seen RTIC brand coolers online that are almost half the price and perform better on video reviews.

There are two versions. One has free tools. One does not. Same compressor.

Your mistake was engaging with the employee for anything other than Polite conversation or to get stuff down for you. In all seriousness the employees often don't even know what your talking about when it comes to the apps available to the public. Most don't even know such a thing exists. You need to go back to page 1 on this thread and everything is discussed right there. Try to keep a low profile without causing a scene and you'll be fine.

Im wondering if pre-selling on CL isnt a great idea....with 13 of them there, is it possible its a new version with the old SKU, that would end up ringing up at full price?

I got the 3 piece brushless kit, I guess its the "large" ToughCase? I had a bunch of the small and XL cases on CL for a while but have sold most of them (got them at 18 each from HD).

After opening one of the 3 piece kits Im seriously considering keeping one myself. My "backup" tools are currently Ryobi, but this DeWalt set is pretty impressive for $140, between the nice case and the compact tools themselves.

They seem kinda heavy, but it's got wheels! lol. I watched some reviews and I'm really happy I was able to find the oiled versions, did you find out if yours was oiled or not yet?

It should be the same one you have pictured. What I was questioning was the "quiet", but I don't think any of these are formally labeled that as the description says. Since they are all the same db limit though it's a moot point.
