Flipped a basic $100 dewalt Kit for $180 literally before I left the store on Friday and found another one today. Also found two of the makita xt248 brushless combo but still at $165. Worth it? Prob get a big discount on one of them because box is damaged.

Nice.

Im finding about 80-90 profit on the 140.00 kit. I suppose I could hold out for a little more but Id rather flip them quickly.

Hello, I'm a newbie. Saw an American Standard Cadet 3 toilet listed here earlier today, but the site won't let me use search mode on my phone. There are 3 models of the Cadet 3 at the store. Does anyone know the SKU?

The most recent reference to a Standard Cadet 3 toilet is noted below. There was one other (see below) which was posted in February. Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but there were no postings today that I could find.

And lastly I got screwed on a display Echo PB500t blower. They had the 500 on display but not in the system. They only carried the 580. I told them the difference and said I'd be willing to negotiate a price. Guy said no and took my name/number reluctantly and said it's going back to the vendor most likely. Today I went in and asked him about it and he said "I don't know where it went, sorry it's gone".......So mostly likely overnight those assholes took it home.

I got lucky last night at Home Depot, and I even told my wife! I'd bought 3 of these at $99 a week or so ago & last night I took my receipt to the customer service desk & was given a "return & rebuy" on all 3 toilets! Oh the things that excite me these days......

Or are all stores different as to clearance items. I need one and found a HD not too far from me that has a couple but showing higher price online.

Anyone get one of the EGO trimmers and actually use it?

My gas trimmer is on the fritz and was pondering keeping the EGO I picked up instead of flipping it.

Stihl FS90R. Definitely worth every penny. Mine is still using fuel that is 2+ years old, starts up everytime, never been winterized or serviced.

I actually have an FS80R, thats the one that was on the fritz last year.

Fired it up today and it ran OK....it seems like its getting to too high of an RPM at WOT, and it wont idle without stalling after it gets warm, but if I feather the throttle I can prevent it from "running away". I think its running too lean at the high end so Im going to try tuning hte carb settings.

Other than that Ive had 10+ trouble free years with it. If Im forced to buy a new one it would most likely be the FS90R or FS94R.

I got a 12" last fall on clearance and have used it several times. Just tried to use it today to clear some bramble in the back of our yard, and it wouldn't cut through any of it (about 1/4 to 1/2 in thick). I had to pull out my Craftsman (Lehr) Propane 4 stroke with thicker line to cut the bramble, but I like how convenient the Ego is for trimming grass and doing light edging without getting out my push edger.

Some weird stuff going on with the compressors. The one I got has a 1.6hp sticker under the pump but the motor is actually a 2hp.

Manual also does not say to change oil after break in. I did anyway though.

That is what mine said also.

A big thank you to whomever picked up on the compressor deal and those who added content. I was able to find one at my local HD today, $110 that they marked down to $100 because it took awhile for them to get it off the top shelf. They didn't have any 30 or 33 gallon units on the floor, just the one I bought in a box (no pallet). Wasn't expecting to find one and had my Subaru hatchback, was able to get it in the car without the box, and yes they will leak some oil if you aren't careful.

Can anyone comment on a solution to make draining the tank easier?

Went looking for some deals today but struck out on anything really good. Couldn't find any of the cheap husky boxes anymore. I did find a Husky air compressor but It wasn't worth the hassle to load and deal with Craigslist low ballers

Tested out one store with quite a few Husky penny bin sets. Still boxed up just one level up. Thought the SCO girl was gonna do it but got some help and they rang it up last clearance which is fine I guess. Just told him I didn't need them that bad. Didn't want to cause a fuss as there are other things I'm after there. Oh well. I should have opened the box and done a few at a time.

Got my first penny deal today!! Went to the store about a month ago when they showed 3 of these sets for $14.**. After the HD guy swore up and down that they didn't have them (even though his own handheld said 3 in stock), I came back today with this sucker facing out on the first shelf up top. Luckily I'm tall, grabbed it and took it to the sco. CSR said there was an issue after I rang it up, but I told her there was no issue. She called a Mgr, but was able to complete the sale before any further issue and promptly walked other with my first penny deal. Wife was embarrassed and walked out another exit.

All in all, it was as fun as I thought it would be!

Here is a fun one for the group:

I found a 30 gallon compressor today, well at least I thought I id. It was on a mini pallet on the floor, unboxed and buried behind another compressor. It had a yellow $330.06 sticker on it, but I checked the SKU on the tag and the PCA had it at $110.03.

The hardware guy told me that it had some damage and I might have to repair it, but it was a good price (even though he was thinking $330). He got it free and told me to check it out while he fetched a pallet jack. Once I looked at it, I found it in bad shape. The pump was loose, the main tube from the pump was bent (broken), the check valve was missing and the relief tube was destroyed. The h/w guy scanned it and found it was $110 and agreed to take $50 more off so I decided to take it home and see if it could be fixed. No manual, no box.

At home I started to look at this thing I bought. The reason the pump was loose is that only 1 bolt is attached. The rest of the holes don't line up at all. I downloaded the manual to the C301H and the parts diagram has a different pump and motor. The pump on the compressor looks like it is from the 60 gal model or one of the older Husky Pro models. Since the holes don't line up I doubt this is just a mislabeled older unit.

I don't know if this is someone's return after they replaced the mechanical parts from their older unit or if someone at HD tried to do some creative repairs.

Behold, the Franken-compressor:

Notice that it has a single piston pump instead of the two stage, V-pistons that the C301H should have.

Denver in April:

This thing is probably going back. I'll research the part number on the tank better, but I don't think the compressor is salvageable.

Haha, I was watching that one for a bit. HD off of wads?

Let's get back to posting deals you chatty cathys...

Check the wood stain aisle for 5 gallon stains. Picked up 3 Acorn Brown (solid) color @ $35.03. Noticed they were the same price in vegas but in semi-transparent. Should go penny soon. I would have waited longer for penny status if I didn't need them asap, they're often ignored by penny buyers unless on the endcaps.

Getting very annoyed looking for things like the DeWalt drill sets on clearance and the PCA says 4 on hand but they are nowhere to be seen.

I feel your pain, but I know that the HD associates are always there to step up and find me what I need. I've found that there's approximately a 80-90 percent chance that once you enlist a HD associate in your search, the next 5-10 minutes are going to go exactly like this:

Did you check the clearance end caps? That's where all our clearance stuff is, so if it's not there, we don't have it.

(Long drawn out sigh) Let me double check the store inventory on the computer just to be sure.

Yep, just as I suspected. It says right there, "Product not sold in Stores." That means we don't even carry this item in the store anymore, see:
8ad63d540800e5603c7922b4ab8cebd8.jpg

Gosh... I can't even remember how long ago we stopped carrying this. I haven't seen one of these in at least several months. Bill! Hey Bill! Have you seen one of those Dewalt 3pc. combos recently? "Nope, haven't seen one in months." Yea, Bill hasn't seen one around here for months either.

It does look like you can still order it from the website for $299, plus you get free shipping to the store!

It's hard as hell to look at the top stock, and to see if you can find the item your looking for. Is it just me of does HD top stock look packed right now compared to a few years ago? The best thing I have found it using a smart phone and using it to zoom in on things but its hard to find SKu's or item numbers. What can help is if the item comes in an odd looking box like a string trimmer or chain saw.

Scored some of the black metal Husky pegboards. They're the first piece in my garage organization setup. Any suggestions on a pegboard hook set? Doesnt need to be a penny...

Just get some high powered binoculars and wear them around the store. Might have secondary effect of keeping associates away from you. Extra points if you bat at imaginary flies around your head at random intervals

Even better if you carry a clipboard, as previously suggested . .

Have had this EXACT story play out a couple times. I always chuckle inside when they pull up the .com site to check inventory

Struck out on my search for the Husky nailer this weekend.

I checked a few stores Saturday for you, nothing. I don't even remember seeing anything husky around here in the nailers that was husky except the flooring nailer, which is few and far in between.

Same here, checked two more stores and couldnt find any for the GMC guy.

Might take a longer drive to some less local stores today during lunch.

Most stores around here were wiped out to begin with.

Looking for a nailer myself too. Checked out 2 stores over the weekend and my entire area seems wiped out. Would love it if I could grab an extra one from one of you guys so I can start framing my basement!
