That qualifies for a you ****! :scared: That is my dream saw, but sadly couldn't justify spending north of $700 for it. I will be keeping my eyes open now.

Well bought.

Not to gloat but got that beat I got mine form Lowe's after a store made an online mistake two years ago for 149 and just got the gravity stand last month form HD for 150. Awesome setup :shocking:

I had access to the HD API key for a little while. It wasn't any help. The item status was inconsistent with clearance stuff (sometimes said Clearance and sometimes said N/A) and it never showed the instore inventory for any clearance items. Also, it didn't provide access to pricing on clearance items. I would go to stores in the area. Pick some .03 and .06 items and then run the sku through the API to see what it turned up. It was so all over the board that it was essentially a waste of effort. It was a huge bummer because I intended to do something awesome with it for the GJ community. It's the thought that counts, right?

I can access it using a key from the website, but like you said it doesn't show inventory or prices on clearance items. I'm not sure if a key from a vendor would give more data or not.

They have a page you can play with it from
http://developer.homedepot.com/product-info-stores-skus/apis/get/products/storesku/{storeSku}

To get the key I had to go into FF debugging and look at the network traffic.

So I failed big time. Friday I went store that had two DeWalt 52" and at least three Husky 52" earlier in the week and they were all gone. I was there again today and saw one of the DeWalts on the back wall with will call labels. It's been there over the weekend at least 4 days now. I'm trying to decide if I should try to buy it out from under them.

Somewhat related, what's the deal with home depot truck rental trucks? Can I rent one on the spot assuming they are available? Does it cost a lot more than they advertise?

probably an inventory error, but did you check the rafters outside in garden and peek into receiving?

I looked in the overhead in the store but didn't go to the garden. Was in a rush and had to leave. The tool guy who was helping me peeked in the receiving. Said there were no tool boxes back there. I'll head back to the store to look again, but I do think it was a inventory error. All the other stores were sold out too so I know other people probably checked out this store inventory too. I just need 1. The tool box takes up way to much space in the garage for me to try to flip. Plus it would be hard to load it up on my truck bed by myself.

$19 for the first 70 mins or something like that. rent on the spot. a buddy rented one when he moved as we were able to get 3 loads in in the 70 min window!! i think its only like $15 per additional hour or something. i just remember thinking how cheap they actually are!

thats not a bad idea actually...now i just need to find some of those 52" husky and dewalt chests!

I threw away my husky pressure guage
Stupid thing uses an aa or aaa batery for the light, and a damn button battery for the Guage and eats button batteries like they were cherios.

pretty sure these new ones dont have a button battery... ive got two i think and i opened one... i didnt insert a button, and i didnt pull any contact breakers or anything off so im pretty sure theres no button... not that i am endorsing the product. it was likely a waste of $5 for the two of them but i figured what the hell

$50 deposit/hold on the credit card, need drivers license and proof of insurance, and replace the gas you use.
Yea it's probably one of the cheapest vehicle rentals you can get. No mileage fee.

i should probably ask before i do this:
ive never went thru self checkout with multiple pennies, but i plan on getting 8 or 9 pennies at once. the store is far enough out that i need to get them all in one trip. is the sco programmed to stop the transaction after the second penny is scanned or can i scan unlimited pennies so long as the sco operator doesnt stop it?
TIA

Tia,

I have never bought that many penny items at once, but this is what I would do. I was purchase 4-5 or so, pay for it real quick then put it in your car. Go back into the store and purchase the rest of the penny items. That way you don't spend so much time trying to scan all the penny items. To me, the longer you are at SCO, the higher chance the cashier can pay attention to their screen and stop you from purchasing the items!

Sorry, I missed your question before. I usually shop broward. This store is just into the south end of palm beach, so probably a little far for you.

They do have trucks there. There's even a brand new ford transit van that looks like it would hold a tool chest nicely.

I once went through SCO with 34 Husky sockets. The girl watching the SCO was too busy talking with a couple other employees about what they did over the weekend

After 7 days I'd say have it. Anything under is freaking bad karma:mad:. They found it, and bought it, and now you're trying to figure out if you should "steal" it from them..:headscrat

I have a truck and trailer and would be willing to help if needed. Beer and money donations are highly suggested.

I also highly recommend their rental truck(s). I always thought it was "too good to be true" but it really is 19.99+gas. No mileage cost, and extra hours arent billed at some insanely high rate.

Just plan your trip accordingly....is it easier to rent a truck closer to you then drive to the store where its at, or vice versa? We have so many Home Depots within "local" distance that its easy to do either or.

Heck I can even pick a truck up at one HD, drive to another and then drive back home with my stuff.

Don't know about walking out stealing freely.. I saw a loss prevention guy and manager chasing down a thief with cart full of tools in the parking lot.
And another 2 lady csr going after young gangster type when he was walking away with stuff, outside too.
Another lp guy following and arresting another guy outside the store.

Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

I've seen LP guys make a stop once as well. I was standing by the customer service desk and a guy tried to walk out with a cart full of stuff. One LP got in front of his cart to stop him, then one grabbed the back of the guys jacket and they escorted him to the back somewhere. Then they brought his cart to the customer service desk and rang everything up to get the amount that he was trying to steal.

Gloating is totally allowed! I have the Bosch gravity stand (T4B) I purchased from Lowes thru their 800 customer service line 5-6 years ago. It was on deep clearance and paid $50 for it with free shipping. I love that stand.

That was before I knew about this site or it would have been posted.

Random eBay question: I sold an item on eBay and the buyer paid for shipping also. I purchased the shipping label but have not sent out the item yet. The buyer now wants to cancel the order, if I cancel will the shipping charge be voided from my eBay invoice? I don't want to lose money on this transaction that never happened. Thanks in advance.

I would first void the label, then cancel the order to make sure.

I would have to assume you could cancel the order and both would cancel but I am not positive hence why I would do it how I described to hopefully make sure.

Sorry for the questions. But I did find out that fedex does not charge you till the package has been dropped off. So I should be good with just canceling the order I figure. I will just have to keep an eye on it.

Whoever you used should have it somewhere on their website.Probably in a section where you can pull up all the labels you have created. Works that way for UPS.

correct, if it's fedex, you don't have to worry about it.

if it's USPS, you can go on your Manage Labels screen and void it out, and it will take about a week to get refunded.

It was me but that $99.96 is regular price. This was clearanced down to 97.06 or $98.06 then came down to $80.00.

I've been seeing .07 and even .08's more frequent as of late.

Anyone watching the Ryobi two packs? Last year they dropped in Feb I believe, eventually penny late March?

This year I noticed several local stores getting large quantities in for Christmas, some ran them on sale for $89 and now some of those stores are at $99 with them on display and a few other stores have boxes of them on the first upper rack with no display. I bought a bunch at $25 last year to rob the batteries and now I need more batteries, ugh.

They never went that low this year and then I think they were brought back recently for some sale (not the Spring BF but before that)

Lowest I saw them get this year was about $79

I too got a 2 pack last year and had it price adjusted to the 25.00 level. Ryobi isnt my primary brand so the 2 new batteries plus the 1 I already had are plenty for me.
