Store in Galveston, TX was pretty much untouched. Left a couple trimmers and a 52" Husky tool box behind.

Those are dirt cheap on eBay. Seems to be no demand.

For all of those people that thought that Homedepot would just refund my money when they sold my already paid for 52" tool chest....I said that I would get compensated....I said that I was the Customer from hell.
I got my money refunded.
I had them refund my complete purchase
I had them charge me again for the 9 Cabinets I did receive (11% Menards match now)
They sold me a 40" Stainless Steel tool chest for $125 ( a markdown of $573)

I'm only here till Monday so don't worry, I'll clear the store out by then! Just kidding the box and trimmer are yours I won't be buying them.

And to Kneeman about the eBay sales, I've sold 4 in the past week on eBay. I'm not sure what your seeing but it's not an issue for me.

First off, thank you to SPN and Home Depot Rob for posting all of the information to get me started on this addiction. I truly appreciate everyone else on this thread being willing to share information. I have scored a DW745 and Husky 30 gallon for personal use and flipped two Homelite 16" saws locally for 90 bucks each. No stores around here have clearanced the 14" yet, and only one store has clearanced the 16", I got both that they had. I am currently flipping 2 Homelite pressure washers, a few Kleins, and 2 Ego trimmers.

I have been successful finding items that others have identified as clearance first, but am trying to find some additional items and contribute something to this thread. I search the usual brands but haven't really found anything new that wasn't already posted.

I had a thought and wondered if anyone had done something similar. While looking at the price check app. if you just leave the search bar blank and click search, it will bring up a giant list of brands and how many items are carried, for each brand. Unfortunately, the list is so large, only the very top of it can be seen and neither the scroll bar, mouse wheel or page down button on the keyboard will reveal more of the list.

Has anyone tried searching this way and gotten it to work?

Click on the page and use the arrows on the keyboard. You may have to click around a bit to find the "sweet spot".

Today i spotted something to be quite old while looking for the 52in husky tool chest (still havent found any). I spotted a 40in tool chest with the sku 720161. Checked PCA and item not found. It looked to be just 1 out of 2 boxes but a quick search online shows this was last on clearance in 2014. I will be gooing back to see if I can find the other half but either way I am going to see what they say when I ask about it.

Haha ya when you click the filter then the list is too long to scroll down, click near a category title, like right near "brands", then you can use the keyboard down button to scroll down to the "clearance" box to check it. Same going up to click "back to results".

Alternatively, and dunno why I never thought of this til now, press page down on the keyboard lol

A lot of computers also are zoomed in because they use ****** monitors. Reduce the zoom in the bottom right corner of the browser from 100% to like 75% or whatever way works best. It really pisses me off when it's like that, because you know the monitor is really cheap and this is 2016.

Nice!!! The toro mowers were just beginning to drop at store that had them..and took 1 cart with me to test the waters and see if they will sell.I did take all 6 and the 3 husky 33 gallon compressors and lock em up though (paid for). May keep a compressor for myself. Got a HF 20 gallon I believe from a couple of years ago...Xmas gift so wife may put me in dog house if I sell it,LOL.

Box is a little beat up,but cart is in perfect shape!! And I got a story I will relay when I get home..

yeah you better have a story for why i cant find these < 52in boxes> on sale anywhere..
< kidding >
but no, they arent even at .06 level here. got my hopes up...

b&d battery bank was still 20.02 at clearance store, but that store updates clearance tomorrow i think.

there are a lot of flashlights available now... cant say i recommend them but maybe you have a need: rayovac indestructible 120 lumen that uses c-cells... $6.33... nice light and truly is indesctructible but c-cells kind of *****... i think they make spacers for AA's to C's tho, fwiw.

they also had a bunch of 'husky unbreakable' models. i got a 1000lumen light that runs on D's. think maglight-esque. its huge and its not exceptionally useful. i think its going back. $7.53 or something on that one.

the best one of all < imo > is a coast pen light. pretty slim and powerful for your pocket. i want to say it pushes out 60 lumens, very clean edges on the beam, takes 2 AAA's.. and its only like $2.03. best part is the batteries are already in it and you can test it in the package. lifetime warranty. very usable for a backup edc or whatever... i always have backup stuff like that which i end up toting around all the time once i lose something nice.

lastly... what is the word on penny items that get refused by sco/manager?? i had lets say, 10 pennies, but they had a security tag on em and sco attendant came of to fetch them, then started refusing and making up prices out of thin air. i called 1800 and after a forever wait they said 'this just in new policy is last clearance price, no pennies', which was still to high in this case bc of the highly inflated original price.. i know there some callers here, whats the deal there? is it ultimately manager discretion?
fwiw, they did let me walk with one at penny/free, but i wanted all ten..

I'll try this next time I am browsing for deals. If you guys can get it to work that way I should be able to. I believe I am in your neighborhood right now. Traveling for work this week and stomping around stores in the Worcester Mass area. No hassles so far and people don't seem to mind me being on the terminals.

Tried that as well. It did increase the amount of items I could see. One store I was in had a monitor that said for customer use and the screen looked like it had been smashed with a hammer. I took it as an indicator how they felt about customers using the terminals.

Lol. It varies greatly but usually they don't care. And if they do, politely show them the "public use" next to the price check app. It's common sense.

Some stores have some computers labeled public use with a huge sign or "over 5000 items online" signs or whatever. It's not your right to use the computer, but there is a section dedicated to your using it. When I show they they don't seem to care.

I was using a computer one day at the pro desk and a home depot employee beside me must have said something to the girl behind the counter about me using the computer because I heard her say "those are for public use"

I have not had an issue when using a computer yet. Some people have asked if I needed help finding something and when I say "just shopping" they move along. The most irritated someone has been thus far was the old fellow getting my 30 gallon compressor down. Kept muttering about how they were "giving it away" and he "asked it to be brought down weeks ago so they could make some money selling it." :deadhorseI finally asked if there was some kind of an issue with me buying a clearance item and if we needed to talk to his boss and he toned it down. My wife snuck off to sit in the lawn furniture area while this took place.

I found these Rainbird and Hunter items on clearance at one local store. I was in such a hurry when I was in the store that I didn't even really look at the items. I just noticed tonight when looking at the picture that I probably should have picked up the Hunter 6 zone controller for $25.03. I may have to go back for those.

I also sold my Homelite pressure washer for $200 tonight on CL.

It's simple. HD wants minimum staffing. If you have contractors that understand how to use a computer and are self reliant, they can log in and look up their own stuff they need. HD will and I'm sure stocks many more things than just what is in the stores. They will sell anything and list many things online for the pros that aren't in the warehouse.

Only seen this on clearance at one store. Went back today. Found 2. Went to cashier and they rang up as a penny! Which caught me off guard. I was happy to pay the $6. Cashier cancel transaction and said she could not sell at a penny. I said I'll pay last clearance. She said ok. I need a manager approval. Waited for like 5 min. Manager shows up. Other cashier interrupts and tells her. He has been waiting a while for you and they rang up as a penny, while she is telling manager this she grabs a bag and puts both into the bag and tells me to have a great day!

My new favorite cashier lol

So I had a few words with a Manager at a store I don't frequent often. WELL I was just doing a little browsing and found the managers full name on HD.com, used that to find a FaceBook account and I'm seeing a few Penny Items in the background of posted pics. I think I've found some black mail material
