Seems that the Husky warranty is worth about as much as the paper its printed on.

But that could just be a case of HD not having a clue....Im not sure you could get CAT to send you parts for free but maybe if you ask nicely?

I would say a bit more than that. The 30 gallon I gave to my dad had a bad pressure switch. He called. No questions asked they shipped a new one. Hell, I even took the extended warranties because they were significantly cheaper.

Maybe it's just because this is a special run?

Find both of these, *AFTER* being told that somebody else bought them the other day, and the guy telling me he was pi$$ed that the customer took both. He was even more pi$$ed when I had him get these two down, from two different aisles.

If it is not available from husky, why would you think it is available from Cat?
Cat had to make it for husky......

Because in many cases the company making the product is far more likely to have spare parts and in stock far longer than a company that rebadges a product. I have personally seen this many times over the years. I would suggest contacting CAT.

Read the 1 and 2 star reviews @ Amazon. Cat support hardly exists, so if you get a dud, replacement is the only option.
Also on the extended warranty, for items under 300 they refund you the purchase price rather than repair, so it's even more a waste of money than usual if you got it on clearance

Lol. It's literally no different than full price with warranty.

The price is linear to the price of the goods. So if it shits the bed after 3 years and I get my 110 bucks back, I still get my 100 dollars and used the compressor for free.

So turns out that air compressor is labeled 723883 on 3 of the 4 sides, and the 4th side is for the actual compressor..I'll call in tomorrow and talk to a manager..

723883 is the correct SKU. I'm guessing someone couldn't read and put the new store sku sticker on it. The new model box looks the same just the put a big white sticker with the new SKU where the printed on box SKU is now. If they're using up old box stock for the new SKU hence the stickers, I dunno. But its not that small sticker.

also don't know what you mean by 4th side is the actual compressor. What are the other 3 side sku numbers for then?

I 2nd that you shouldn't call. In person is the best way to secure it. Granted getting it out the door for a penny, I can't help you there. Most the times they get something down and put it on a flat cart for you. So maybe try to pick a cashier or SCO lady that seems naive.

I was there picking up something else and spotted it.. But I had no room for the big toolbox. So I did a will call purchase right there, paid for it and they placed a big will call sticker on it with my name, receipt number.. And it was almost closing time.

Thinking somebody wanted it,, good thing I headed out and picked it up.. If I waited for 7days, it would have been gone I believe.

no doubt. i overheard a few hd employees having a 'private' convo in the back aisle of a store about a will call sticker that they lost in some way (not sure if they took it) but they were mocking the guy with simulated yelling.. it was kind of funny, kind of pissed me off too. but i just took mental note that that store is a no-go on will call.
good for you for getting your deal tho. persistence pays

There are few left in a store in central Jersey that doesn't show in the computers. If you are in that area and need one let me know. If I don't move these quickly I'll let others know where they are.

ps that thermostat is a honeywell. a very similar one may be laying in your local walmart's clearance aisle for a few dollar less, but thats very ymmv that you can find it and a massive waste of time unless youre already there hunting < which you should be >

I have been hitting up Walmart lately looking for a clearance laptop. The BrickSeek inventory checker is pretty good. Wish Home Depot would let us see the inventory of clearance stuff.

That's a lot of work for 15 dollar profit if at that, not to mention eBay scammers, PayPal scams.

possibly over charge $20 on shipping and 10 off 100 coupon and no tax when buying? Still quite a lot of work for $45 when people local go crazy whenever something new and Dewalt is posted.

i too sold a few at 180 on offerup and CL. i got all kinds of lowball offers of 100-120 for the case, just blew those people off! this kit is 260 (after tax) retail!

I love the lowball offers Im getting on the 299 kit (thats selling for 140)

On OfferUp for 250, sold one right away at 225 then the lowball offers started coming in.

$75, 80, 100, etc. Still have one left to sell and Im holding out for $225.

I tried that also. Cat told me to call Home Depot. I explained they didn't have the part available and it was only 2 days old. He then sent a link to their website where I could buy the pot-metal manifold w/ regulator, which shouldn't cost more than $20, for $45.

Slow your roll.
First off I paid 69.03 plus tax. So 75.07 plus ebay 10% and paypal. 93. So 138-93 = $45...

Speaking of hidden compartment. . . did anyone else, besides me, NOT realize those Makita XT257 drill / impact combos we got around Christmas also have the compartment in the lid?

Just wanted to post a few pics of recent deals I've come across from being on this forum and thank you all for the keeping the content fresh! I don't get to scour HD like some of you guys so I go when I need something and try to keep in mind some of the stuff I see on this forum. It's resulted in a bunch of free tools and some extra $ in my pocket which paid for a nice weekend with the wife in LA. Wish I had a truck like some of you guys so I could go after some of the bigger items like the tool chests though.
