Weird post.. Yu say Yu had them.. Then later went to pay.??? If Yu didn't pay the moment Yu saw it, then Yu f ed up.. Lesson learned.
Unless Yu had receipt and then gone.. They ask for the better upgrade.

Sounds similar to what happened to me..Hell I had paid though...funny, some said I was whining for being pissed they did same thing to me..

I tried to condense the story. Didn't want to take up a whole page with a rant.
The girl that took care of me said she would put a hold on it, while I went to get a helper and a truck. I offered to pay for it . She said you can pay for it now or later. So, no I did not pay for it at the time. I know, big mistake. The point being, I trusted the girl, she gave me her assurance. . The tool set was wheeled around the corner. Away from customers. There was no price tag on the boxes. 3 employees were within earshot. One of them tipped somebody off or bought it for themselves.

Ouch. Basically you brought an awesome deal to everyone's attention, then left it on the floor for whoever wanted it. May not have been your intention but, without paying, that's exactly what you did.

I would call corp and tell them you want the milwaukee for the same price to make you whole. That's some bs there, they said they would hold it for you, they didn't. They need to fix that for you.

Just saw your previous posts. You can't really complain about losing it when you hammered others.

Most of the stores I know of, the price drops comes on the overnight between Monday/Tuesday and Wednesday/Thursday. But the MET teams either don't always come on those same nights, or they aren't meticulous about updated tags because I have seen new tags on random days.

My favorite HD has 6 clearance sections (3 end caps, 2 shelves in the back of the store, and 1 shelf in garden.) The garden shelf has lots of penny items marked as a penny.

Don't forget about MET carts stashed away filled with penny items.

Guys lets spread the joy...its always fun to find penny items. There's no problem being dedicated and clearing out a store, but if someone else gets a penny deal before you, just feel happy for them :)

You might want to try walking into the back office area...if someone questions you, just tell them you are looking for the bathroom. I've never been stopped...most of the employees do not know every single other employee.

If you see multiple clearance items, mixed in the back of a shelf with similar looking full price items, then you know there's a heavy hitter in your store. Adjust your game accordingly.

I think those Mayhew Prybar sets are at .03 everywhere now. They are $13.03 at the stores near me now, just dropped over the last day.

I almost choked when reading some of these posts!!! My wife thought I was crazy. But I'm going to take the high road. Pretty much anything I could say about said situation has been said..karma is a ***** though... You see I too trusted them, and my **** was PAID FOR!!!!!

Although I was made quite whole, and thank them in the end!! Flipping those Dewalts was love.

Saw this today for the first time. Demo Hawg 36" pry wrecking bar. SKU 1000017643. .06 price was current. Traveling for business so I'll leave it behind but it is badass. Would have it just to have it at .03 level. At the Westbury NY store. Anybody seen these before? Also, how can I insert a picture directly into the thread? The attachments are really small and make the tags hard for everyone here to read?

Hope that's the case. I picked one up Monday for .03 but all the other stores in the same district were .06. Thought it was strange. Maybe different stores in the same district don't update the same day?

You guys have a memory like an elephant! I owe brickie an apology. I'm not upset because I didn't get it for a penny, I am not calling corporate. It was my own fault. Even if I paid for it, the same thing could have happened to me as it did to Brickie. It was obviously collusion by the employees. The mods want to keep the posts to the deals, so this will be the last I have to say about it.

All you guys picking up the schlage keyless locks...are they all found in the clearance areas or have yellow stickers on them or what?. Seems I have never once found one of those in all the stores I have ever visited! Trying to figure out if I need to just start scanning every one or what!

$699 if i'm not mistaken.

The Schlage locks I scored today were on an endcap not even really close to where the lock sets are kept. In this store they tend to put alot of the clearance that will fit on the shelve there. Behind the tool section.

Ok. I see a lot of schlage stuff at all the stores on several of the clearance end caps, but I have never, ever seen a keypad one at any of the 10+ stores I have gone to.

These were yellow tagged the correct price. When I checked out old lady working sco, commented how nice they were and told me she had scored some first thing in the morning. To be honest was very surprised there were any left. They really are freaking nice!!

Yeah, we're redoing the exterior entry doors on our house and am hoping to score some sooner or later! Thanks for the info, I guess I just have to keep on the hunt.
