This is just HD deals right?? Penny items just can't be this serious..YES, I love to get em to, but NEVER would call corporate or anything like that for a penny item!

Got stopped today trying to get a penny item thru. She froze me and refunded me promptly and then went thru last clearance price thing..Was a Hoover steam vac so turned it down since I really didn't need it. Had gotten a few of those for pennies anyway,LOL!! I just don't see the big deal if they're willing to give you last clearance price.

Got one of the M12 Fuel kits with free battery. I was going to get two or three but my store that had seven of them on Saturday only had one left. They moved them from under the back clearance shelf to front and center of the tool section with a $135 tag. Seems no one knew about the free battery though, still the same three in stock as last week.

Grreeeeaaaaaattt. Of course I was in my car today and they were still $33.03. I'll be going back tomorrow evening in the minivan, hopefully they don't drop here tomorrow, or there's no way I'm getting them for a penny.

I would have loved grabbing one at .x3 but none to be found at all within 2 hours of me.

If there is no chance of getting it for penny, then go to the service desk and ask for assistant or store manager. Do not explain why to service personnel. They are nosy, so just say you have something to discuss. Department manager or MOD will likely deny sale, so bypass the chain of command.

I bought a 301H compressor for last clearance recently by doing exactly this.

She was working on the endcap as I strolled by. I saw her printer spitting out penny labels and just quick grabbed it and put it in the cart. She goes, "let me scan that for you sir!" ........while I say no that's ok.... she lifts it up and does it anyway.

Tried talking to customer service but they said no. It's my main store so I didn't put up a fight.

I tried that and they said something came out from corp last week about selling for last clearance price. He is talking to district manager on Wed to see if i can get it at 125 since its so heavy to ship back.

Hope it works out for you! Supposed to be 2 box set (top and bottom)

Be sure to open it up to check for damage before buying/leaving.

With a generic/clearance sku we are SOL for warranty problems. Not that you may need it for a toolbox, but a power tool with a 2 year warranty...maybe.

What's with all cordless kits including drills for the past two decades. I think most have enough drills sitting around to arm a small military.

Under cabinet light was to see what the wife thought of the plug in one. Was .02. Only cable pliers were a penny. Milwaukee pliers are pretty darn good for $5 and the mini Maglite LEDs are darn bright. Found that random pack stuffed up front with all my he other flashlights. Never thought to look there. Supposed to have 5 more though.

Bunches of the M12 set in these parts, but I don't need to start collecting another cordless platform. That and I don't see a whole lot of flip potential here. eBay shows they go for just under $200 with free shipping. Now if I had some M12 tools, I would buy a dozen if the free 4.0 batteries. :)

Man I want to kick myself 10x over. Hit 3 stores today nothing until the last one. Found a bunch of Baldwin brush nickel spyglass lock sets model 352 spl sqr 15 cp sku# 8335149378. They weren't there last week, had no price walked over to SCO and they were closing down it just hit 9 pm. Asked a guy with a scanner how much was it thinking it was 10 15 bucks nope a penny. He tells me we can't sell it to you....... I asked for last clearance he said go to coustomer service and ask for the last clearance price. I just tossed it in one of the racks. I can't hit it up until Thursday let's see if all 10 are still in the clearance section doubt it :dunno::willy_nil

**** I saw some today but already have a couple that aren't selling. Tag was .03. I hope they weren't penny's! Forgot to check PCA:mad:

They come in boxes of 4, so if they actually how them, there's a strong probability that they are still in their box. It should have a white Milwaukee label with the Milwaukee model number on one of the faces and/or the Home Depot sku. If you can't find a box with either of those, look for one that could hold 4. The individual boxes are significantly longer/wider than the box with the M12 Hackzall.

Thanks for the tip, I'll go back and have another look, I was only looking for the red retail boxes/cases. Spoke to the tool manager while I was there and he said he hadn't seen those sets since the holidays and proceeded to zero them out in the system, said if I do find them he'd take 10-15% off for my trouble.

thanks. have some on clearance in our area. weird though, no .06 or .03 price, started at 00, went down to another 00. at 195 right now. figured if i can get them for 150 or less it would be worth it. wouldn't mind having one myself and getting rid of my craftsman, its too loud
