Re: Home Depot Clearance Thread 2015

Bunches of the M12 set in these parts, but I don't need to start collecting another cordless platform. That and I don't see a whole lot of flip potential here. eBay shows they go for just under $200 with free shipping. Now if I had some M12 tools, I would buy a dozen if the free 4.0 batteries. :)

Just was looking for myself.

thanks. have some on clearance in our area. weird though, no .06 or .03 price, started at 00, went down to another 00. at 195 right now. figured if i can get them for 150 or less it would be worth it. wouldn't mind having one myself and getting rid of my craftsman, its too loud

wasn't it just the 30 gallon that clearanced (and hit penny)? I thought the 33 gallon just went on clearance status recently, and still high price?

Correct. Think he confusing the 33 gallon with the 30 gallon. 33 is still priced at a high clearance price.

I want to say the cheapest clearance I've seen that 33 gallon was $359. It wasn't much off.
The 30 gallon clearanced was the 723883

Does the battery ring up as free automatically? (i.e. can I use self checkout to purchase)?

I like to avoid giving them a chance to say "sorry this is on clearance no free stuff for you" if possible.

Battery discounts itself when both are rung up. But only 1 per transaction.

It rings up automatically, but you only get 1 free battery per transaction. So, if you want more than one you have to do separate transactions.

Also, you cannot get a full refund if try and return whatever M12 tool you bought and keep the free battery:

So, the only real arbitrage opportunity that exists is if you can find the M12 hammer drill/impact driver on clearance for $135.

Agreed. Even at $135 the resell doesnt seem too great on the kit, but the free battery would be nice (I already have the drill and impact that come with the kit, can always use more 4.0 batteries though)

Back in the saddle!!! Got denied yesterday but straight thru SCO no questions asked. :pimpflash All I did was take off wrapper with sku and scanned it 3 times. They didn't even bother to look inside them. Wouldn't have found nothing,. Now I know how easy it can be to get CRAZY LARGE stuff thru. I had looked for these last week and me and associate couldn't find them. Went back today and bam! This is one of my "associates" that don't care when I find pennies in rafters. He gets em down smiling whole time!

Now to decide if I should keep or flip.

Lucky, nice job. Those are actually really nice boxes. I am keeping 1 just to use for camping. It is water tight and huge so i figure just throw it in the truck and load it with everything and im good to go. Plus you can put a lock on it.

Great find! For a penny, I'd be tempted to throw one or two outside for toys, chair cushions, covers, and other stuff that needs a place to call home.

USB wall chargers:
166812
161763

USB car chargers
230601

These are the USB chargers I've found for a penny. The item number marked on the package is the same as the Home Depot sku. You can search eBay for others an they will usually have the item number somewhere in the listing

I got 2 tool carts through in separate transactions a few months ago. They seem to either swarm or totally ignore you.

Nutones hit a penny. SCO was closed this morning. SCO was closed when I went by this morning, so I'll try to get the two left at one of my stores later today. Wish I'd have waited on the 5 I bought last week.

Ran into the local TTI/Ridgid shirt wearing rep today the HD I visited. He had a M18 nailer in his cart he was price marking and placing on the shelf. He stated they weren't to be out on the shelf for sale until June but he knows it will sell so out it goes.

No deals today. The Milwaukee & DeWalt pliers goodies are all still .06 status. Ego lawn mower still at $399 too.

I like to ask the Milwaukee reps about penny deals. Haven't really got any good info from them yet though.
I did ask him about the Milwaukee 6' Keychain tape measure and if it would be sold individually. He wasn't sure but he hopes. No word yet.

Thought these were getting clearanced out but they say on order?
View media item 60612 I also wandered way outside my region last night so if stepping on anyone's toes sorry. But someone did a decent job clearing out the store I visited. I walked away with nothing but some close stores I might hit showed some promising inventory.

Meanwhile closer to home on lunch today.
View media item 60611Didn't know I had two different sku's for seemingly the same product. Batteries are a good price too.

Manager tried to stop me on the way out as he recognized me as I've bought penny items before there or at least tried. But alas he was on the phone and I merely smiled ear to ear as I walked out as he motioned for me to come over. Nothing good was going to come of that conversation.

Since we like deals around here:

In case anyone has American Express Membership Reward points to burn. American Express has a "sale" on Home Depot eGift Cards right now. I was told by American Express chat these eGift Cards are only able to be used on online purchases, but info about eGift Cards on the Home Depot site seems on contradict that. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Just picked up a pair of the channel lock nippers, and a couple of the 12" milwaukees. Still some of both at Primos Secane store for any Philly guys.
