Actually thought they were decent for what they are. Agree, not nearly as nice as a real gang box like we use on construction sites. But trust me,they would have flipped for a decent profit and fast! That is if you're into that.

For light stuff, kids toys, garden stuff, cushions, etc. they'll work. I almost fell over at the $128 retail though. Those things are big though.

Wow. I don't have a use for it personally, around my area I think I'd get $30 for it. I'll give it to my sister if she wants it or a close friend has a small fishing boat. The box will work well for storing his fishing stuff, life jackets, etc. so mice don't get into them over the winter in his shed. Buggers do a heck of a lot of damage.

Don't bother here in SF, the 2 in Colma and 1 in Daly City are the top in the district and have the best MET stats in the Bay Area. If you're in the East Bay then you'll have a slightly better chance.

Lol I was in Daly City on Monday. Found a few penny items. (2 toro power heads I tried to get). Was denied penny. Manager of the day wanted $98 for each. I told him I'll pay last clearance price $38. He rejected my offer and told other employee to take them back. As I was checking out. They had a re-key kit. With a penny sticker on it! Ran out of time and main manager was busy. Got some milwaukee clearances tools tho. I still see a few more items that are penny and near penny. Met team ain't that good. Will visit soon again. I love the 2 story building too.

I was almost denied a none penny item today at a store that has always been cool with penny items. I spent a few minutes browsing the PCA and finally found a store with the 2pk makitas. Went over to tools and looked up where all the makita boxes are and there it is. Too high to reach with a yellow ladder.

So I figured i couldn't go wrong asking the old guy to get them down. He started off saying he needs to check the price I said ok but then he walks over to the computer even though he was holding a scanner phone. He pulls up HD.com finds them and says they are $96.03 "we dont sell them in store anymore you can buy them online with free shipping". I said "but they are right there cant you just get them down and scan them?" he finally agrees to go get a ladder and then scans them but doesn't pull them down. He says "yup, we cant sell them they are $50. Met team probably left them here so that they would send them back and get credit for them" a little more back and forth and he wheels the orange ladder away. If he left it I would have just grabbed them myself.

I walk right over to the manager on duty and ask him if home depot is in the business of making money. He says "yeah why?" So I tell him what happened and he shakes his head and got them down said sorry have a good day but not before asking who the idiot employee was that didn't help me. Its hard enough getting penny items but to have some ******** pull some **** like this. Just as I stated before it all comes down to the employee you ask for help. I happened to choose poorly today.

Oh I don't doubt it, I was surprised he didn't bring them down and take them behind the counter or in the back. Now if only I could have been there when the manager talked to him or even better see his face when he noticed they are gone.

I believe that was for the black/yellow tags that normally show 25/50/75% off. Not the normal clearance tags.

Edit: What he said.

some compressors ive been watching have been marked down twice, both times ending in "00". first time 25, then 50, waiting for whats next. but i was there 2 weeks ago, between then and a few days ago they went on clearance, and within a week dropped another 100 bucks. i've been calling every day and having employees actually walk down the aisle and see what the tag says lol. our store is pretty up on things when it comes to updating the tags i've found out. so when its time for them to drop another level they put the new tag on right away. i was just wondering if maybe they were doing it by percentage vs. doing the standard markdown

Found a store that had a crapload of those rigid vacs for 25. Wonder if theyll flip well?
Not sure. I ended up picking one up for personal use. Usually $80 I believe.

There is no risk, I'd get them. At a minimum if you can't flip them, sell them to neighbors/friends for what you paid or bring them back. Play up the stainless, durability, etc. and you should be able to get $60 or better.

I've got a couple up for $60 right now with only one bite. If it doesn't sell, back it goes. No harm no foul. Just trying to get it to pay for the one I bought for myself.

Anyone see this compressor go below 195 yet? That is those of you that have recently seen it on clearance?

Yup, summed it up..flipping for money is good, but sometimes just making other people pay for stuff you want is fine too.

A big thank you to the person who posted the tip about using the back button when the "see attendant" message pops up on the SCO. Found 6 of the Homelite grass shears yesterday. Did the price check - rings up a penny. Started scanning them - at scan #5 the see attendant message pops up, hit the back button, scanned it again and BOOM - no problem, worked like a charm.

Checked the prices on the wrenches - still at .06 pricing here.

Those Ridgid stainless vacs are very nice. I've had one since last year when they pennied them. Not the quietest, but plenty of power. I use mine to clean the pellet stove

Just sold my Ego trimmer that Fedex refused to ship on OfferUp for $75. Not much profit, but at least it's gone

Picked up a Fuel combo kit for $135 with the free battery and a set of the Crescent X2 pliers for $15.04, been looking for those for a while.

Might go back and pick up the rest of the Fuel kits, haven't decided how invested to get in them yet.

NEVER ask a old guy for help. Usually a grumpy old man. Try naïve teenager for help.

Has anyone attempted to return the free 4.0 XC battery? It shows max refund of $49.84 on the reciept. Makes cutting up the kit or selling whole and making money easier if the cost is $85.16.

I've been watching these for over a month since I needed a better hose. Finally dropped.

Counts are way off on both at my local store. 66 in stock for 100ft, computer shows 25. 30 in stock for 75ft, computer shows 2.

That's what I did. Returned the four batteries I got with the 4 kits. Allows for making a greater profit. I've already sold one kit for $200

Yeah, another week from what the employee said. I actually needed a couple, so didn't want to wait on them to drop since they were in plastic in top stock. Also hooked up some friends/family.

I think this is the way to go if your in it for profit and don't want to sit on them forever waiting for an offer greater than $200.

I'm ashamed I didn't think of this myself, thanks for bringing it up.

Cool, glad someone executed my thought. Going to return the 4.0, since could only sell it for $40-50 anyways, might as well return for $50. Personally I already have 4 XC batteries and dont need more.
