Which area do you live in? Been to like 10+ stores and all of the echo edger is still at retail. Guess in the south people buy them like hot cakes!

Some guy just picked up a table saw on a motorcycle! This old man was nuts. He had a BMW enduro-type bike with saddlebags on it. He said he bought the bike new 3 years ago and asked how many miles I thought it had. I guessed 30K and he says 125K!! He said he rides all over the US, Canada and Mexico. He drove from northwest Alaska all the way to Baja, hopped on a ferry over to Mazatlan and then drove down through Panama and finally up the east side of Mexico and the US east coast up into Nova Scotia ALL IN ONE TRIP!! Dude is *********!!

I'm leaving all my nailers priced at what they should be selling for on eBay, as well as Offerup and CL. Not gonna lowball them, they'll eventually

Was finally able to get a low price using the price check app and finding a tool in the store. The channel lock needle nose pliers for $4.34. Not the best deal, but I was happy to finally find something.

Question, when the hell would you use a stapler instead of a nailer to do hardwood flooring? I would think staples would look like ****.

I was debating whether to sell my Bostitch manual flooring nailer and keep one of these pneumatic flooring staplers, but I guess I don't see when anyone would use staples for hardwood flooring.

Staples will hold alot better!!! And are actually fired into the "tongue" of the board. The next board covers them up and you never see the staples. There are only a few specific instances where it will be necessary to "face" nail the top of the board.

That explains all the cases of Bostitich 2 inch flooring staples I sold last year. Still have some flooring nails for sale on eBay. :headscrat

Staples r best way to lay floor. The more expensive flooring will generally always use Staples in the grooves as someone posted. If the wood is not free-floating you better be using Staples is my thought

Found this on a clearance shelf in-store today:

Since it didn't show up during my first PCA visit, I went back to PCA and got "no item found". I immediately dug in my pocket for a penny and went back to pickup the tool (why I left it on the shelf in the first place is a mystery). On the back I found this:

At SCO I initially scanned the original UPC and got "see attendant". Scanning the UPC on the yellow sticker (which is for the bare tool, which is in PCA @ $73) got me another "see attendant". From there on it was smooth sailing for $73.

Yea, Staples are best.

I've never seen cleats used though.

Face nail the first long row you start with then go back and Staple and staple the rest.

What is the difference in the two bostitch floor Staplers? The cheaper one does cleats and staples, the other one is twice as much in price and weighs a lot more and just does staples.

I thought the cheap one was manual.... not air? I didn't look too hard at them or buy any so I might be wrong, local market is flooded them now though.

You nail/staple the tongue, so they are never seen. Some use staples, some use cleats, I've had to remove board that have been put down by each and they both hold VERY well. The best flooring guy in the area I know uses this cleat nailer, he's going on close to 10 yrs with them and he's done nothing to them after putting in MILES of flooring.

Probably the most expensive one you can buy but it lasts forever so he's glad he got it.

Manual ones ****, slower, much more work and you can't get as close to the wall with them because you need to hit them harder.

I highly doubt they are there. I comb that store weekly and have not seen them.

I didn't look around for them. Employee walked up as I was checking the computer and said they were both open-box. If there's a tool rental there, check there

Btw there's still some Dewalt lathing staplers there for $88. I got enough already so I passed

Example: Target store has a $90 max. No receipt policy. We found this out because our new born decided to jump diapers sizes and and we got a lot of small size diapers from our baby shower. We did a return and once they process the return they told my wife that she couldn't do any more no receipt returns for the year lol

They changed this. Target no longer has a max. Lady in front of me.one day was returning 80 makeuo. Then a few days later saw her at a different target doing the same thing.
