Long shot, but would anyone happen to have an extra Echo blower for trade? I was waiting for them to drop at my local store a few weeks ago but all disappeared overnight. Completely gone even from the computer. Was looking to trade an extra Paslode finish nailer I found for the PB-265 (smaller back pack blower). Also have a Dewalt cordless finish nailer if you prefer that one.

Found 7 unicorn Silent Flow air compressors. Got one down and they sold it for $50 (rang up see attendant). Came back later and tried to get the rest and the guy said no because "loss prevention red flagged it".

I laughed and gave them the "you're in the business to make money, right?" line but they said they HAVE to send them back to the vendor. I told them the manager (earlier in the day) was going to put them on the floor for sale with a generic sku and he laughed and said they can't do it. Didn't have time to argue, had another 8 hours of driving ahead of me.

My guess is he was pulling all of them for himself. I found four 27"/26" Husky tool cabinet sets, 7 silent flows, and 4 paslodes. Only got the paslodes.

Anyone else seen this deal? I couldn't find it online. I've been shopping for a new small rolling toolbox to take to the track. I was thinking about the Dewalt DWST20880 but maybe this 3 combo set makes more sense.

Not sure if this was posted yet.

I've noticed most of the cheapy shopvacs from HD are just not as good as some of the old ones lowes used to sell. I've got 2 old 6.5hp wet/dry vacs that I picked up for $40 about 5 years ago. They've taken a beating doing 2 remodels and are still getting the job done.

Agree 100% with this. Got a 16 gallon from Lowes yrs back and has way more suction power than the equivalent current model FIL bought.

toilets are a very easy penny find in the rafters but it's tough to get the minions to pull them down. I've gotten them anywhere from .01 to $33. I'd avoid Delta toilets but that's just me.

Does every post on SD have the stupid YMMV acronym, hate that saying... why isnt it just YRMV
On SD you have to protect yourself from negative ratings because some snot nosed punk cannot find the deal. They expect to be able to click on a link and buy it online instantly, or have it available in every urban area. In other words you are saying that their mom is not there to spoon feed them. It stands for Your Mother May Vanish.

Saw this on slickdeals when I was viewing their forum. If you guys sell a lot on ebay, you can activate the offer so that you do not pay no more than $20 in fees during the month of June. I activated the option in my account so I know it works.

This is by email invitation only. Did not work for me.

They did that exact promo for BF/all thru the Xmas season. The free organizer....I dunno, it doesn't float my boat.

As for previous complaining about YMMV, it makes perfect sense and is simply an expression. It might bring blank stares in a sewing circle but I always thought among a group of guys - particularly mechanically inclined - it's totally appropriate.

Expressions are not meant to be literal, like above I'm not literally referring to my boat (which I don't have) floating (which it can't, being that it doesn't exist and all.....)

Hey guys, had a big problem at Home Depot today. I went to check out the clearance like usual, and brought a few things up to the register to do a price check. One item rang up a penny, one was like 90% off, and the last wouldn't scan. I asked the lady to look up the price to see if it dropped at all, she gave an attitude and did it. The price didn't drop so I told her I was going back to clearance and I would put it back for her, she said "No, this is staying here right where it is." So I was like good then. Came back to self checkout with the two items, payed and had my receipt was about to grab my bag when I guess the lady noticed her screen for the penny item and grabbed my item from the bag and said "I'm not selling this to you" I said I already bought it and I have the receipt. She refused to give it back and called another associate. They took my item the CS desk and said I would have to pay 37 bucks. I said no, I already bought it. Back and forth, so three ladies refusing to give me what I bought. Then the manager comes over and says they have to give it to me since I already bought it. The girls were PISSED. I filed a corporate complaint on the old lady for grabbing merchandise I purchased out of my bag and not giving it back. I was honestly too kind to them for the way I was being treated. They made me feel like I was a thief when in reality there were three different times someone failed to do their job which led to the sale.

Why exactly do you have to protect your "rating", who really gives a &*#&? I find it extremely odd that people are actually concerned about their rating on that site.

I had a guy not allow my cart out with the 48" utility box nor would he give me the other 2 in the aisle I paid for. Those things are so big, the one took up my cart. Manager gave me the one after a short chat, he was cool.

You screwed up though. check the items before hand in the aisle price scanners or PCA, then scan your items, pay and get out of there. Don't drag your feet and waste time, nothing good will come from that.

That was the only pack left and it was hidden WAY in the back of the clearance end cap. The display for the 30 gallon Husky air compressors was marked $75 down from $2xx, but there were none left!

Street cred. See a really cute girl in a bar, walk over let her know what your SD ratings are and how many thumbs up you've gotten for deal posts and you are golden.

Great, another complaint to HD about a penny item sale - Sarcasm.

Yep. I gripe a bit just to get them to cave and give me one of the penny items or the group, it almost always works. I do it nicely though and in a cajoling way. If it were something I really wanted, I'd just settle on last clearance price. No need to go beyond the store level.

People gripe to corp about penny things, they'll put a block in the sale system to not allow them without manager ok or something.

Bottom line, don't rock the boat at corp or you'll get the whole thing shutdown.

I got two of their names, they were incredibly rude so I knew I was going to make a complaint no matter what happened. When the manager scanned to see if there were anymore in the store he said it rang up -0.01 so I said to the girl it looks like you owe me a penny. She wasn't happy at all.

I have honestly never seen a price scanner in any aisle in a home depot around here, I would love to not have to go to the self checkout for a price check.

I have been denied the sale of many penny items before, never complained. My complaint is that this lady went into my bag and grabbed something that I had already purchased. Big difference. However, you are right about complaints in general, so I apologize for possibly acting selfishly.

use a PCA then or take a picture of the sku bar code with your phone and scan that at the self check. Then at least there isn't an item for them to grab.

Thanks for the advice. And sorry again for making the complaint, I dont mind ruining something for myself, but wouldn't want to "rock the boat" as you said for others.
