the bad store manager often do this...they take penny items or display items that are last clearance and mark it recondition even though nothing wrong with it....its their way of getting more $$$ for the store...

Second go around after dinner with the family

First store got the cameras for 45.03 each they had security wire. Got two connect systems for a penny first through self checkout.

Second store got 5 lights for a penny through SCO and then grabbed the rest which were like 35 total and walked right to the regular check out lane. The cashier rang them and noticed they were a Penney said go ahead take them they are free :rocker:
Finally someone who knows the store policy.

Nice haul so far. gonna keep the lights for the house should be good for life or close to it.

You are correct.

This is an easy one to get out tho lol they engraved the sku on the compressor. Sku is the same as the clearance sku. Rip sticker off. Tell
Smart cashier to enter sku. Pay your $75 and enjoy a compressor. I have a DeWalt already so I didn't bother with this one. Thought about flipping it but people shy away from recondition stuff. Specially when it's engraved on the item lol

Bought a penny item with a security spider on it. GoControl premium kit.

Checked out at the SCO with a non-penny item.
I was going to get the cashier to remove the security device after I paid for it so I put it in a bag after scanning it. He hopped right over and offered to remove the device so I finished paying while he was fighting with the lock. The tool was on the back of his workstation so he couldn't see his own screen from there. I think that worked better than pointing and yelling "Squirrel!"

It was very helpful of him.

I found a cart full of penny items that was left on the sales floor. I love it when they make my job easy! Here are a couple of the items...I think they're pretty old. Also found a few link bulbs.

99% of the time I've had to associates tell me they can't take off the stupid spider wraps until after the transaction is complete.

Been lurking for a bit and curious what you guys mean by penny items. I tried going back in the thread but are over a thousand pages.

They went pretty quickly around here after they dropped. The only stores that didn't have any left were the ones that hadn't updated the tag on the floor to $33 yet.

I've only got six in my possession with three going to friends at cost. The rest are in will-call at two different stores until I see how well the first three sell.

Plan on asking $80 and taking any offers from $55 up. Although the total profit isn't that great, I don't see how making doubling your initial investment is a bad thing. If these first three don't sell well, I can recoup my initial outlay with two phone calls.

I don't know about you, but spending 20 minutes to create listings on Cragislist/5Miles/OfferUp, exchanging a few messages throughout the day and occasionally loading up a 40lb box to drive 10 minutes down the road to the nearest police substation doesn't really take up that much time or energy.

Do members have to have been active in the 2015 thread before they are granted the privilege of being able to make smug *** comments or is it based on entirely post count?

While I 100% did do that when I first started, my main intention with my first post was for it to be humorous. To me, the image of some guy walking around with a clipboard and mashing buttons on a broken calculator in order to avoid the suspicions of employees is pretty funny.

I've been able to find a bunch at a few stores, but most are sold out. Almost every one of them was stored improperly and had the oil leak out or was stored near one and got oil leaked on it.

If your able to find any, look for oil stains on the box and ask them to mark it down. I've only had one store that wouldn't take any off and have been able to average somewhere around $27 each for the 15 I've bought.

Don't know how well they'll flip but, including the 11% rebate, figured I couldn't miss.
I opened one up and the oil is in a clear plastic bottle. The lady thought the $33 price was wrong and called to check. I told her that was why I was buying them. She said she needed one. I told her they were for sale.

Tell the hag that she can have it for 10% off the retail price.
