Yeah.. Nice post.. But that hardly a clearance or price to chase after.. That's just wasting time at home depot at those prices.

Oh? My observations have led me to think some stores clearance faster than others. My bad. Here's something then: no one's checking the Orlando stores. They were stocked full of LEDNT bathroom fans and a few nice nailers.

Are you sure they weren't the 791LEDTM bathroom fans? The new model just has an M added to it

Probably LEDNT... this store had a lazy SCO cashier. I don't live in Orlando, but if YOU do, look up.

Found one of those husky led work lights that pennied out a while back. It had fallen from the clearance end cap to behind the regular aisle, coated in dust. Nice but wish it was the ones with the built in battery. And some of those TCP Connect BR30 bulbs. Didn't bother for the third. These need the starter kit right?

That's a nice keeper nailer if you don't have one already. 30 degree is paper tape nails right?

I personally prefer the 21 degree plastic strip nailers, but I'd take that Paslode over my Hitachi any day.

Never hurts to ask folks, I returned an extra flooring nailer today by mistake- had to go back and buy it back but since I returned what was purchased during rebate week the lead cashier was willing to give me 11% off my entire purchase- got my Milwaukee tool box and some other stuff.

Flooring nailer sku 1001-100-771 ($75 husky 18 L cleat- great for 3/8" to 3/4" and exotic woods or bamboo)
Also Makita 18v angle grinder tool only sku 1001-103-929 sitting at $80 most of the stores I frequent. One had it showing for less but none in stock- tag is dated 03/02/16 keep an eye out

Hitachi pneumatic over Paslode. Paslode cordless over ALL imho. Namely convenience- I wish Milwaukee would get on board the dewalt ones have served me well

Yes, I believe that it uses paper tape nails. They had one more in the store, do you think it's worth trying to flip? If I could buy and sell the other one to break even on the one I bought, I might have to do it.

Hitachi's are the best, bulletproof.

Thanks. Guess I won't bother looking for an upgrade. I got this Hitachi on clearance last year at Lowes (although it was only like $60 off, paid $180). 21 degree and uses up to 3.5" nails. The newer version uses up to 3.25". I was hoping to just get the Bostitch F28WW framer at HD, but they never clearanced them out up here.

Anyway, I got cases and cases of 21-degree framing nails left over from the nail extravaganza last year, so i'm good for a lifetime.

It's all subjective. Like everyone saying their Dr is the best.

Bostitch is super popular in one area while paslode is in another area.

Thats why not all regions carry all models. I've seen stores that didn't carry bostitch framers at all and some that never had the paslode air framer and some had neither. Just had ridgid and Porter cable and one other brand.

Not a new deal by any means, but scored 3 more 16" HL saws to push my total to 12 in total. I did leave a 14" up on the shelf that looked like it was the display at some point in its HD life. If anybody is in S.Florida and wants it let me know.

tip of the day: the flimsy cardboard tends to fall off the 16"s and the indistinguishable black case subsequently easily gets counted as a 14", which has a higher quality cardboard and a lower price.

The 14's here were in cardboard boxes. The 16 and 18 look similar and are in black cases

yep, 14s here are in a slightly smaller but otherwise identical black case which is partially covered by a carboard box that lets the blade cover portion stick out.
to the untrained eye a 16 missing its flimsy cardboard looks just like a 14 missing its cardboard. untrained eye will need to snip a zip tie, remove a chainsaw, etc to verify that its NOT the same.
they pulled the flimsy cardboard. they did the counting. i did the waiting.
they also pulled a $100+ penny from my cart once, so...... we still arent even per se...

Hey Masters did you see the news today, some guy and his sister had 48 HD orange 5 gallonbuckets with 24 Million Dollars in them hidden behind his wall in Miami Lakes house. Could have sworn I saw him buying 5 gallon HD buckets at the Hialeah Gardens store earlier this year LOL.

I thought the buckets were on clearance.

My Hitachi is about 30 yrs old. Doubles a a hammer sometimes when a stud need to be moved a bit. Look about like this one, similar condition. Just runs, bad weather, cold, etc. it just works. Very easy to get any o rings, etc. parts.

Paslodes are bigger out west, Colorado, etc. and I think some down south. A decent number use Bostitich. Most of the Bostitich framers's I've seen use the one that run the wire welded nail strips. A lot of the framers use coil framers quite a bit since they hold so many more nails vs the strip nailers. Downside with the coils is if you drop them from height, they are toast. The coils get twisted, etc. easy. Very nice for nailing off sheathing since you go threw so many nails.

Makita's are very nice guns too, hitachi, max, bostitich are pretty good paslode. Even the porter cables are good home owner, moderate use guns.

Got nabbed getting a penny wedding car by the self check lady. No employee was at the SC at all for 20 min but I was looking around still. then someone was there but doing paperwork and not paying attention for 15 min. Should have gone up and stuck it in the car and went back in.

On shift change a new more alert lady was there. She was putting a cart out of the way while I scanned the single item, scan gift card and entered the PIN. Just as the receipt was printing out she came back and look at the screen. She said 'what did you buy, a wedding car. oh I need to see your receipt.'

I never ever looked at her, I just held up my slip quickly while walking away saying I was all set, have a nice day. She started saying 'oh no, you cannot leave, I need to see your receipt (I kept walking) she kept saying 'sir, you can't leave, sir sir.' I just kept walking at a casual pace, the end.

I knew she wasn't going to stop me, no one was going to care, I did pay so there is nothing that they could do legally, etc. I knew if I stopped, I was loosing it or paying last clearance. That wasn't something I wanted to do.
