I just walk up with a **** eating grin, say "scan it", and do a touchdown shuffle when it rings up a penny.

I had a self checkout employee congratulate me for finding a penny item one time, ruined the whole experience and rush of trying to sneak one by.

Went on a small trip during lunch. Found the 3 piece shockwave thin wall hole saw kit. PCA showed it's $28?! Left it behind.

922-501 local store has like 6 of them all STILL at full price it's rather annoying. Anyone having luck on patio furniture or LP/gas fire pits- I was told By a corporate employee doing a customer satisfaction for my neighbor the east coast gets the deals first then west then Midwest- typically. I've only seen a couple left over from last season but those were long gone long before any good work started

I saw many of the patio furniture at .06 pricing here in NJ today. There were so many and it's hard to tell what everyone's flavor is. Tell me what your interested in I can take some pictures to give everyone a heads up.

Re: Home Depot Clearance Thread 2015

One penny. I know Spn got a couple of these a while back and sold them in the parking lot. I somehow managed to squeeze it in the passenger seat after taking it out of the box!

I searched a store for an hour that was supposed to have one of those. If you are interested in selling, where are you? My bar fridge died a couple of weeks ago and I haven't been able to fix it. Need a 24w x 35h

I picked up some 2d cell maglites today. And learned that you can't easily swap the bulb from an incandescent to the led. One destroyed, but only a penny loss. FYI Allen wrench thru the switch will remove the incandescent switch. LED requires a T8 with no taper. I have several ,but all are tapered.

I think they were $100.03. In reality though, it's only "no more penny items" when the registers stop ringing up as a penny lol

Looks as if multiple stores not allowing penny deals err

Stores almost never "allowed" it without a fight, unless your lucky. Corporate policy support for defending your finds is over. They don't care anymore, period. Your lucky if you can even get them to push the store to honor the PCA price. Half the employees don't even know what a PCA is. And that's the gods honest truth. HD clearance is not what it once was. Sad really. I haven't been to a HD in weeks.

I'm curious....how do you scan that at the SCO? Cuz anytime I have a big item they always come and scan it with the handheld

I've bee to stores where there isn't an employee at the SC for 20 plus minutes, those stores are rarer though.

Well i'm sure that was fine before but now with the whole "no more penny" rumors i dont see how that would work....you happen to know what the last clearance price was for these?

It depends on the store. If you get caught, some will say just take it and will cancel the penny scan, others will sell it to you for last clearance and some will not even sell for last clearance.

I had one store manager tell me if I find a penny item on "the sales floor" (any shelf with a price on it, not the overhead) I could buy it for a penny. He then proceeded to follow me around the store LOL. I left the penny item I found in the overhead there, plus it's a pos marquette 8" spread faucet.

I stopped by one over the weekend and SC'd and the screen said 'see attendant'. She called me over, pealed off the sku and said it's a penny, just take it. I went back and got the other one and pealed off the sku for her and left with the two.

I was using the PCA at the employee area at their invitation after I asked if I could use the public app to check a price. One employee, a nice middle aged woman started to show me how to check prices, 'go to the internet homedepot.com and ..' She was very nice so I explained to her that the online price wasn't want I wanted, etc. She had no idea about any of that stuff.

First thing I searched, there was a penny item as the first listing, she said 'oh, that's a penny. They won't let you buy that though, right?' I just ducked that and said stores set their own policies. When I checked a different penny item I found 20 minutes later, she was at a near by register helping an employee with something. :D

I only showed her the PCA very briefly and I was vague. I didn't give her very much at all.

to each their own. most employees asking questions dont know how to use the in store pc and never will, no matter what you tell them. theyre suspicious of a customer who knows their job better than they do...

fwiw i have a few hd associates who i have gone on the hunt with multiple times after striking out on my own looking for in stock powertools buried in overhead. they recognize me and occasionally pull good stuff aside for me or tell me where theyve hidden good stuff. ive given stuff ive found to them, theyve given stuff theyve found to me. its whatever.

then on the flipside i have stores that the minute i walk in the door theres an associate or two who simply says 'stop' 'no' 'dont' etc

How does one find these deals on the website? DO you just troll through items and see the prices? Maybe I'm missing something.

If you go to HomeDepot.com, click "specials and offers" on the left, then "Tool & Hardware savings" on the left, then on the left under "Savings Center" check "Clearance".

Yeah, she was just curious and a very friendly and nice person. She had no idea about PCA or that the store pricing could be different than hd.com. She's was such a nice person and interested to learn (to be a better help to customers) so I shared a little.

I've had similar experiences as you, some really cool, helpful employees and some jackasses. Just like life in general.

For those of you that sell on Amazon and do FBA I've got a quick question.

I made a shipment plan to send in and labeled all my items. But before I did the "prepare shipment" part I deleted the plan and made a new on with the same items. Do I have to relabel everything now that I've made a new plan?

I.e. Are the labels for the items specific to each shipment plan you make them under, or are they just item specific in that they can be used for different shipment plans. Tia

If you deleted a shipment plan than anything with it is voided, the ups labels, the stickers and everything with it. Do print preview and compare but all is likely to be different now. Sometimes if you delete a shipment plan it will even have you send to a different Amazon fullfilment center. If you print preview the stickers you should be able to compare difference.

I didn't print out the shipping labels yet.

I'm just talking about the individual labels I used to cover the UPC on each item. Which the ASIN on each item in the new shipping plan matches the ASIN on its corresponding label so I think I'll be alright. Calling Amazon now to find out for sure. Thanks.

Found a RIDGID shopvac model# WD1636 in the overhead and had an employee get it down without issue but at SCO it came up as See Attendant and was apparently no longer in the system. MOD wouldn't even let me purchase it for last clearance price.

According to HD.com the store SKU# is 231361.

I got stopped this morning with two penny items and they wouldn't sell them to me unless I wanted to pay full price. They claimed that they will be sending back to manufacturer. I'm willing to bet that the three I left on the shelf are still there next time I go back!

The sku on the product labels will not change; therefore if you acquire the same item you can sell utilizing the same sku. The sku is specific to product and seller.
