I sold 3 or 4 trim nailers no problem for about 200 a piece. Offerup and local forums I'm on were best for me.

those should get a $260+ premium from what i hear though. guess it depends on how bad one wants to sell them.

All the Essex and Fairview lighting fixtures are a penny if u still find them. HD replaced those with a new company and the new displays are supposed to be up by end of week. They r no longer in pca as well. If u get caught with them be prepared to not buy them for 03 pricing. The manufacturer is actually buying them back in this case

It does work with the Wink app though. So not overly repetitive if you get it. I think for 25 bucks it's worth buying if you were able to get a bunch of the bulbs for a penny

If you already have a wink hub, you can use the bulbs with it and not use the GE hub also. I would definitely get them for a penny. If you can get the GE bulbs or this kit for a penny I'm interested in purchasing cheap

i found a bunch of 'tcp connected' bulbs for a penny, are those compatible with the ge 'link hub'? i know i read that the 'tcp connected hub' < or whatever its called > is not going to work after such and such date. i did manage to get one of those for a penny, but i doubt i will even get around to setting it up before its obsolete or whatever.

ps just wanted to confirm, what is the current status on penny items that were on the ground level? i rarely get stopped, but i had a bunch of big bulky stuff at a far flung store so i tried to go 'all in' on it at once but they halted me and completely refused sale. $1500 worth of stuff is going to the compactor instead...
now i know that overhead stuff can be denied but is it now common to deny the ground stuff too?

Overhead is manager discretion/no sale. Pray the manager isn't a ****. If it's on the sales floor then it's supposed to be sold for last clearance price per corp. Haven't been stopped with stuff on the sales floor yet but it's my understanding that corp will say it should be sold for last clearance price if it's found on the sales floor.

ok yeah thats what i thought. hd corp is worthless on so many levels.
someone in one of those states where they have pricing laws should kick em in the nuts on that next time they get snippy though.

Not so fast my friend. ALL penny items are up to each store manager. Calling corp is waste of time and just gets your name and number in their system.

They "can" sell penny items at last price for up to 30 days BUT it is still up to each store. 99 out of 100 managers will tell you I'm not selling it, even at last price. 1 out of 10 will say I'll sell it for msrp.

Sounds like you just ran into the 99 out of 100 managers.

Any call to the 800 number bitching about not being able to buy a penny item will get you the same answer. It is up to the mgr at that store. Even if you are offering to buy at last price, they will call the store and tell the mgr what you are bitching about and come back on line and say the mgr does not want to sell said item. Sometimes you get even more lucky and the mgr will lie about you and what you said and how you behaved in the store.

The nice managers, employees, cancel the sale and say take it. Then they don't get in trouble for selling penny stuff, good things don't get trashed and the store gets a bit of good will

What was it you got stopped with, anything good?

A store in my area that will stop you for penny things but sell them for last clearance. I was chatting with a checkout guy last night when I was buying some .03 stuff. I asked him if they'd allow penny stuff or refuse. He said I'm cool with penny stuff, I'll give it to you. Said he doesn't know what others would do but he said he doesn't care. lol.

Anyone know if Home Depot will match and best prices?. Both HD and Liwes has the Dws780 for $599. I'm wondering if one of them will try to beat the other guy.

no you read that wrong, i aint calling them at all. theyre worthless for rebates, returns, pennies, pm's, you name it. hell one time they cancelled an $1800 order and refused to refund my $1800 gc... said i had to forfeit it. 12 calls totalling 19hrs later they sent me $500 of it. 3 more calls totalling 4 more hours got the rest. pretty sure ive not bought a full price item over $10 from them since. lowes is just as bad. i took all that business to the regional stores.

but im pretty sure theres some states where consumers have some explicit rights if it rings on the screen as a penny then the cashier/manager blocks it at p-o-s. ive never checked into it here in my state bc this is literally the first time ive not been smooth enough to get something worth getting that i found on the floor and not in overhead. the odds were literally stacked against me < i tried to buy a whole stack of em >.
personally i would only bring it up if i was reciting the law verbatim or knew where to find it online or whatever. i dont even know if my state has such a law so its too much legwork on my end before i would be able to do it even if it is on the books, but im sure someone here could at least try to blaze that trail for the rest of us. obviously the best/easiest gambit is to just play it cool bc theres lots of ppl at hd that are cool, but you def get some mgrs who would rather smash $1500 worth of stuff in front of a customers face for the thrill of it

Internet based access will or has ended. Local access, on your network, behind your router still works.

I think Lowes does the price match + 10%.

Only if their prices are higher... but the prices are the same. HD did have a deal with a free stand, that's when I got mine and switched the stand to a rolling one instead.

Lowes wouldn't beat HD for a dishwasher I wanted, but matched and I used my 5% with CC.

The PUR water pitchers are no longer in the system. Should be penny status now.

Sorry, yea I should have though of that.

I got my Dremel 4200 kit from Lowes. Lowes had it at $129, HD had it at $99.
Lowes price matched it plus took off an extra 10%.

During black Friday I got Lowe's to price match a heavily discounted washer and dryer Home Depot was carrying. Lowe's beat their price by 10% and then I used a 10% coupon I had. It had to go through upper management approval though.

Screw Lowes, I can barely get them to honor their own coupon or price match policy. Local Home Depot on the other hand takes Harbor Freight coupons, only time I got rejected was when I tried to buy a fridge, cashier was helpful but needed manager approval, manager said "Well Harbor Freight doesn't sell fridges, so we can't do that". I do all my home improvement shopping at Home Depot, they scratch my back I scratch theirs.

I agree completely. HD all the way for me. Every once in a while I try to take advantage of Lowe's price match policy.

While I like HD better, I shop at Lowe's a lot lately as I can get $15 EVERY single $50 purchase I make using online coupon. HD almost never has coupons but they usually take the Lowe's 10 off and occasionally the HF coupons if you're lucky. If I need $30-40 of stuff, I'll head over to Lowe's and find something else I need to bump it to $50 and off comes the $15.

Where do you get the Lowes $15 off of $50 coupon. Lookinf to find Lowes or HD coupons as I am getting ready to build a new patio and I am looking at like 1000 in materials.

15.00 off is nothing to you then. Go talk to the store and they will give you ten percent off easily. Anything more you'd have to try harder.

Have you ever tried to use a HF 20% off coupon at HD. I would love to get a cordless Dewalt circ saw for 20% off :rocker:

What coupons are accepted by a store are up to the manager, mine will take lowes or a coupon from a store that sells the same item. But they won't let you use a harbor freight coupon on a dewalt cordless because HF doesn't sell dewalt. They will let you use a coupon for the same brand, not some HF ****.
