Seems here the compressors are playing the OOS clearance, in stock full price game. Guess I'll have to find a store with inventory off.

Went to a store this morning looking for one of the 33 gal compressors and the PCO showed that they had one on hand, but I looked everywhere and couldn't find it. Thought I finally had one.

Noticed the flat panel LED garage lights all hit clearance at 2 of my local stores this week. Considering buying a few to return+buy when they drop further.

Tried to find the B&S gen in the system but it was still 599 in my area though not an exact match to the name on the pic earlier in the thread. Was it actually B&S manufactured or just the engine in a 3rd party unit? Saw another 5k but it was OOS.

in your pic those kidde carbon/smoke detectors (2nd shelf from bottom, far right).. those are only like 13.03 here. pretty solid deal if you dont have one or two

How do you know when an item has gone to penny status without bringing it to a self checkout? I scan for clearance items with .03 or .06, including on the in store computer, but nothing ever indicates a penny. Most clearance stickers don't have dates anyway.

I'm trying to figure this out, but just can't snag it.

punch in sku at pca... if it comes back 'no items found' then you most likely have a penny... sometimes a sku gets reused though so keep that in mind. happened to me the other day. had a surefire penny but hit the register and when it showed on sco screen it had a couple letters tacked in after the model number and it came up as full price instead of penny. it was 'not found' in pca

Thanks, that's really helpful. I tried to scan a clearance item that had been on the shelf for over a year but it came up as not found. Maybe I should of scanned the original barcode and not the clearance sticker?

Always scan the original barcode. Never scan the clearance sticker. In your case with it being so old things do drop out of the system and the "please see attendant" message pops up. This happens on some faucets and bath fans now.

I'm guessing not much can be done about that. The attendant wanted to input the clearance price, which I promptly said no thanks.

I wanna give back but I'm not gonna spoon feed, no SKUS from me. A certain air system by the other blue tool maker has dropped. Good luck searching.

Another one from a tool maker of a different primary color also dropped. This one has a capacity approx. 3X the blue one. Pretty sure they're following the same full price if they have it in stock routine that jakedi mentioned, but happened to luck out at one store.

Tried a new store today. PCO said none of these compressors in stock, but went for a quick walk (wife was with me this time) to check the storage up above. Amazingly I found one. Had this old guy get it down for me with the lift. Took it to SCO but it was crazy busy. Lady came up to me and told me to go to the pro desk, which I did hesitantly. She scans the original upc and asks if I want an extended warranty. I ask her how much it rang up for and she says $75. She acted a little surprised so I said that it was on clearance. She was cool with that so I paid for it and ran out of there. It barely fit in my Mini, lol. uploadfromtaptalk1469311619051.jpg

Why would you run out of there? It was a clearance priced item, not a penny. I took out larger $100 each items that were pennied out yesterday and I casually walked out the store.

Found the HDX 2 gallon air compressor for $15.03, and ridgid sump pumps for pennies. I like this since they are very easy to spot.
