Homemade Must Have Tools

So working as a mechanic for the last 8 years I have accumulated a few homemade tools that make my job so much easier and faster. I've made harnesses for most abs sensors that are soldered to sets of DMM leads so I don't have to try get two probes in to test, Deutsch 9 pin connector harness that allows for ease of testing J1939 networks etc, harness for running Cummins 5.9 lift pumps of batt power with an inline switch, air powered coolant pressure tester, special drivers for steady bearings, I've made wheel bearing race drivers with the old races.

No pics right now as they are all at the shop but like I said these tools along with others I can't think of right now have made my job so much easier.

I want to see the tools you've made/modified that are must haves for you! Doesn't have to be related to the field of mechanics

I've made lots of tools over the years. The first thing that comes to mind is a lock out tool that at that time would open anything Ford with lift up door handles.

Wooden mallets are nice when done right. Favorite in an applewood, which is a really dense hardwood, with a good flat face and an offset turned handle. This is a good tool to have in the bag; good for hammering or banging things into place without denting it the way a hammer might. Basically does everything a deadblow can do without cracking.

Best homemade tool..... Children, especially Boys... Free labor, can transfer tool X from somewhere to your hand, can fetch beers, have tiny hands and arms that are great for tight spaces, and many more things.... gotta be the best multi purpose tool.
