...of a bazillion.
My wife and I bought our house back on '02 ( or '03, I forget). Front porch has those cheesy twisted flat bar and channel ****-tastic box store rails and a broken gate.
They have bugged the s*** out of me since we moved in. Every time I look at them I throw up a little.
Work's been a little slow, so...
A little time at the drawing board and we came up with this. The design closely matches the pattern of the stained glass in our new front door's window.
Top rail = 1-3/4" molded cover rail with 1/4" x 1" h. r. flat bar.
Legs =1-1/2" x 11g sq. tube
Bottom rail & gate perimeter = 3/8" x 1-1/2" h. r. flat bar
Pickets = 1/2 h. r. solid sq. bar.
So the porch has rails on 3 sides, 2 short and 1 long. This is the short end with the gate. The other short end will look real close to this but no gate, and the arch will drop enough to let the cover rail run level. The long side is basically 2 short sides made into one long piece.
More pics coming soon. (but I have to build more rail first)
