Hose reel recommendation

I need to upgrade my air hose reels. I will be needing three. 50 or 75ft hoses. I've been thinking about getting the Continental/Cox reel. Any other suggestions? I would like to stay around $300/ea or lower.

I bought this one back a few years ago and I'm ashamed to admit I only mounted it recently and it seems to work great. Unfortunately, it's discontinued. At least that's on Amazon. I suspect it's made by some manufacturer and was sold under the Tekton name.

I paid $128 but that was in 2015(eek!)

I highly recommend these Coilhose Pnuematics quick disconnects. No strength required which I appreciate the older I get.
I installed them before the hose reels in case of a problem rather than a ball valve. And also on every reel. They work great so far.

I’ve bought several cox reels from amazon. They often arrived in a cardboard box with a piece of particle board. Poorly packaged.

I’ve also got a reelcraft from zoro. Packed well.

The picture is certainly the same. The only difference I see is they put 1/2" hose on it instead of 3/8". I guess it's good to know if I ever need to replace it. But it's Goodyear hose so I HOPE it's good quality and will last.

Cox or Reelcraft seem to be the most popular ones, most of the ones in our factories are Cox and generally give years of trouble free service.

been super happy with my 75ft flexzilla hose real from legacy .

click the link and 1st pic shown is my style in 75 foot hose length . i have had it since 12/08/2012 . i use it all the time in the shop . had to do 1 latch spring so far otherwise rock solid .

i did get 2 of the next style down for the paint bay and also the other end of the shop i dont use much . there both 50ft units . no problems yet . there around 4 years newer than the 1st unit .

The are also Reelcraft. Not sure of the model but looks like they still make something similar. They don't get much use since everything has gone cordless.

Reelcraft. I had a cheapy hand-crank style in my last shop and wanted something nicer when I built my new shop. I purchased two 50' Reelcraft hose reels and mounted once on my 2-post lift and one over my man door. I've been very happy with them in the 3-1/2 years I've been using them.

We have Cox reels at the day job and they are garbage, ratchet pawl springs all fell off a couple months after install and on a couple others the ratchet steps wore out and wouldn’t hold.

Reelcraft gets my vote.

No issues with harbor freight versions - home shop. I think I ended up with black and red one. No leaks. I replaced hoses on both of them with PU hoses.

X2. I have two. One 50' & one 25'. Still using the original hoses. Going to switch to Flexilla or something similar when they start to leak.

My 8 year old HF reel developed a leak in the hose around the one year mark. Replaced it with a Goodyear hose that coincidentally came from HF 20+ years ago.

Earlier in 2020 the O-ring around the rotating connection started to leak. No need to throw out the baby with the bath water, and replace the entire reel, so the o-ring was replaced.
