This may not be a hot deal, buy I thought it was a bargain. I was at my local Advance Auto today and saw they had 5 piece gearwrench flat ratcheting combo wrench sets, both metric and standard, for $14.95. I think it was around 50% off their standard price. It could be a local sale, or maybe one of those times that the "sale" only knocks the price down to Internet levels, but I needed a metric set to match my sae set, so it worked out.

I can understand why it's not valid in-store. Someone could print out 10 of them and make multiple trips. That would be great for us, terrible for the store.

Too bad there's no coinciding free shipping promo. =(

That is understandable. Just not much of a deal after factoring in the shipping. I have a woodcraft about 20 minutes away. Sad that people abuse the system so much. I wanted the versaspin 360 16" but even after the coupon it's cheaper on amazon.

I think that they're counting on people spending more than $25 once they start thinking about what to buy. I think I'll hold out in hopes of free shipping. After all, the coupon's good for another month or so.

Found these at Lowe's today on clearance for $1.24, in the paint department. I almost passed them by, but after spying the prerequisite bottle opener I had to have one.

Speaking of Lowes, guy was asking the kid that worked there what was up with the Kolbolt tools, were they just out for now, he said Yeah, probably.
Had no clue Lowes was closing them out. I told them they were doing away with them, the clerk said "that wouldn't surprise him either"
Shelves were getting pretty empty.
Some of the separate flat ratchets were like 1/2 off.
1/4" drive short well sockets, like 65 cents each.
I did notice they dropped the price on some of the knipex tools.
Thanks,
Tony

Yes, all of the resolv tools are $3 or less. They seem to be scattered all around the store. Most definitely was a 'holiday' special item...

I remember them from the holidays. No way would I spend $10-15 but for $1-3 that's not bad.

Didn't see any others.

FWIW...the Kobalt section was gang raped. Nothing left, except for bottle openers.

Not sure why there is so much interest in these Resolv tools...but there are definitely a few. I remember there's a paint one, 'outdoor' one, decorating one (SWMBO got one of these of course...)...and might have been one other.

someone gave me one of the resolve tools for a gift last year. They're not worth the effort of walking around the store to find.....unless you have a specific calling to throw cheap plastic in the garbage.

Luckily I had some shopping to do so I just returned it while I was there.

As far as I've read in this thread, this is yet another line that has transitioned to China. So you might have a chance of picking up NOS USA made sets. Can always return/exchange them.

I went out to look at them this morning, and they are NOT Menards "Tool Shop" house brand. They are "Ultra Steel", and have no warranty information. I asked the tool lady at the store about the warranty, and she couldn't find anything other than "multiple vendors" on the computer. They are fully polished though.

I'm passing on these - not such a hot deal after all.

Crappy cell phone pic attached.

Are these the ones that might me USA or Might be China?
In the "Videos and Product Demos" It said Made in USA ?
Thanks,
Tony

Made in China now, some stores have old stock that are still USA. I bought the crossforce wrenches that were on sale last week and the ones on the front of the rack were China, but in back they still had a made in USA set, so that's the one I bought. It was the same deal with these.

Sounds like the better deal is to pay $5 more for the same sets by gearwrench with lifetime warranty.

Autogeek.net is offering 15% off, NO EXCEPTIONS! So this includes buffers/polishers and everything too. Today only, ends midnight EST. Coupon code MD15.

I just wanted to add that their customer service is absolutely top notch. They packed and shipped my order extremely well and fast. They also included a free (very high quality) banner even though my order was below the promotion value. Will be pretty cool in the garage!

Even better...I ordered my Flex polisher kit 2 weeks ago, before this promo was available... So I was obviously disappointed that I paid over $50 more. I sent them a quick email this morning requesting an adjustment...and they quickly sent me a store credit for the difference!
They have earned a customer for life.

Isnt the $95 threshold for free shipping, not the discount? It is quite easy to blow $100 on that site anyhow...

Hitachi 10'' Compound Miter Saw with Laser Marker $99 at Sears. Lowes will beat the price by 10% and there is a mail in rebate of $20.

If it were sliding I would be all over that. I wonder if Lowes will beat the price by 10% and then give me my additional 10% military discount? I could get one of those saws for $65 then when it is all said and done.

Something seems off about the reviews. Kind of like someone who does not speak english wrote them. And why are the reviews so focused on the gloves being fakes?

I was going to get a few pairs since they were less than 1/2 retail price, but it just seemed too good to be true coming from a company that seems to sell a lot of cheap Chinese merchandise. I'm willing to bet they are fakes. I may be wrong, though...
