might want to check out sears stores themselves for more clearanced items. i got a gw 9pc metric ratcheting nut driver set for 7.97, craftsman metric ratcheting box wrenches metric 4pc set for 23.97 (made in the usa too!), and a 5 or 6pc set of cushion grip craftsman/pratt read screwdrivers for 9.99. several stores had boxes on clearance also, but i believe they were the scratch and dent style.

Those sound like pretty good deals too! I know the Craftsman 4pc set was on clearance online as well, but it seems to have sold out.

***** you can't get the freight shipping free too. regardless there are some good deals on those boxes.
Heck, I'd even be happy with free ship to store shipping, but that doesn't look like it'll happen.

have you tried calling customer service to see if they'll do site to store shipping instead?

the 4pc craftsman set is 42447 and comes with 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, and 19 for the box ends. they're originally $60 and were tagged at $34.97, but that was a few months ago. i asked the guy to scan it for me and it rang up at $23.97 so i was sold.

I highly doubt that they could do this, but it may be worth checking out. Then again, I would then have to find someone with a truck that could help be bring the chest or roll-away home from the store and then up 3 flights of stairs!

Sears has a $7 off $70 in addition to the $5 off $50. Has that already been mentioned?

Code: SEARSDEAL

Yeah, I tried using the $7 off code for the wrenches I ordered, but it wouldn't work. The only code I could get to work was the sdeals817. It's Sears online, what do you expect?

Got a problem with that? I can remove it if you would like.

Thanks for the sticky on the hot deals index.

Now please UNsticky the seriously out of date "directory of top threads" and the "need a chatroom" threads, I am seriously tired of seeing those on every page.

It's stickied? Guess that means I should resume updating the first posts. Or could it be time to retire this thread and start a new one?

Sears F&F sale - 10% savings, details via TG

in-store event on Saturday, NOT Sunday,

I just picked up the Craftsman 299 pc socket set. It was on sale for $399 + $40 off for the 10% sale. Then I also used coupon code ANEXTJUMP25300 for an additional $25 off orders of $300 or more. This brought the price to $337 before tax. There's also a free shipping promotion going on for tools above a certain price.

In addition, a few months ago I signed up for a bing.com (Microsoft's search engine) cashback account which gives an additional 8% cash back for sears purchases (you get the money after 60-90 days). Click through to the store using their shopping link and they give you money. Once I get the cash back I'll have spent $310+tax on it.

Im kind of confused with the sale tommorow. Is it a stack-able 10% on top of another 10% from the Midnight madness sale?

nvm figured it out

None of my local stores have that craftsman ball bearing chest, and shipping is $116 - Too much. Any way to get cheaper shipping or something?

imo it's not worth it once you add in shipping costs. for those boxes on clearance, sears gets you in the freight charges. might as well buy from the store.

Agreed.

Although... some roll-aways are not considered "oversized" and some are. The non-oversized ones still carry a $65 delivery fee, buy you can usually add two or more units to the order without suffering additional delivery fees.

I have tried to figure a way to buy the above 26 inch box. It always comes up $115 for shipping . The shipping does stay the same for one or two in the shopping cart. If Sears wanted to sell them seems like they would let you order for store delivery. It`s NO deal at $200:(
