What's up with the kits with 1.5 amp hour batteries? Are they more desirable than the 3.0? Obviously, they are smaller and lighter, but is the runtime reasonable?

Still works as far as I can tell.
Hmm. Only certain links work. Others cause blank spots to work where price should be.

They're smaller, lighter, cheaper. Runtime is decent, recharge time is decent.

I spun off details into a TG post and a separate GJ thread:

yeah, me too. But these list them as 20pc ratcheting set, not the Flex Head mentioned in the other post. Couldn't find a 20pc flex head set

was this it:
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00931535000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

says $49.99 on sale.....and won't let it add to cart

Maybe try opening a new browser window, go to sears site, and search for them, if that doesnt make a difference clear your browser temp files then try again. If your logged into the site I wounder if its giving you the same link you went to in the past when they ran out. They must have a bad link on the site for them still, the sears hardware store I went to and picked up my 20 piece set at today had 20+ more sets in the store, two different cardboard displays and a few on an end cap. That's where I saw the flex heads but didnt pay much attention since I got both flex sets on the last round.

x2 I was wondering that as well, and the "it will be $0.01 in"

read up on slickdeals...very confusing.. but it seems to go something like this....once an item has a yellow clearance tag (which has a born on date)...after so many days (actually several months) the item gets marked down to .01 cent internally, but in order to get that price you must scan the original bar code on the item NOT the bar code on the yellow clearance tag, the bar code on the clearance tag will scan at what ever the tag says. Many stories of people removing the yellow tags before checkout or scanning the original bar code themselves at the self check out (SCO a new acronym i learned lol)

I am all for a good deal but it almost seems like crossing the line...idk :pimpflash

Yea, that place has some issues when it comes to deals, all for one, none for the rest. Then let me re-sell and make a profit. :lol_hitti

I wont mess with, alter or remove tags at any store period. I'm pretty certain that is outright illegal. However with that said, if they left both tags on the item at thats what it scans at, I dont see an issue it's there system. From your post it sounds like there is no hard and fast time period though, like say 60 days from the born on date. Interesting just the same, thanks

+1! I was at Sears today and thought to myself, "Since I'm here I might as well go to the kiosk and order those Wiha hex keys since I will get free shipping!" I really have no need for them, but they would be nice. Thankfully the kiosk was acting up when I was trying to finalize my order and I ended up just leaving before I submitted it.

There is no 20 piece flex head set, the 20 piece discussed is what you see. I'd keep an eye out, it said unavailable, then came back available, and is now available again.

The flex heads come in I believe 7-piece or 8-piece sets, and are ~$30 each at Ace as the previous post said.

Great deals on GW are still here!

My local Ace Hardware has 4 piece ratcheting Gearwrench (non-flex) in SAE or metric for $9.99/set. It is the relatively small sizes of course being only a 4 piece set.

Ace Hardware also had DeWalt drill bits, I think 14 piece going up to 3/8" with the pilot tip, for $9.99 so I picked up a couple packs of those.

Ace Hardware had some Dremel kit for $39.99. I thought it said Dremel 400 but looking online for prices I think it may be the Dremel 300.

I also saw a 190 piece I believe it was Craftsman toolset for $99.99. It had 102 sockets I think. 40+ pieces are things like hex keys and bits.

Couple of Northern Tool deals,

Just purchased this welder- seems like a good starter welder. Add coupon code 139053 and get it for $119
http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200403263_200403263

Also purchased the chain sharpener, added a small roll of hobart wire and used the code above for an additional $20 off.

The Torin 6ton jack stands are on sale as well $35 a pair before coupon code 139053 gives $5 off $15!
Do you know if that coupon code will provide $20 off the 89.99 sale price on that sharpener? I've been meaning to order that sharpener for some time now.

That code is for $20 off $100. Also, that chain sharpener is great. I've owned one for a couple of years now. There are over 50 pages of discussion on this sharpener at arboristsite.com.

Got the wiha hex keys in. Wow they are nice. Didn't realize how many sizes it had too. Some big/long ones in there. Love ball ends and the magic ring is a neat idea. The holders have a cool easy acces once you figure it out. And of course they just scream quality when you handle them. What a steal.
