I was out garage sale hunting for bargain tools today but the sellers treated me like they were doing me a favor. No one else around either. I'm not going home empty handed so I dropped in at Harbor Freight to check out their sale items.

I decided this was a good bargain. It fills a gap in my tool collection. It is a 14-piece set of Pittsburgh metric impact wrench sockets for $20. The ad link below says 13-pieces though. It has 10, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 27, 30, and 32mm sockets. That's 13 alright so I guess the plastic case is the 14th piece. For $20 I'm not complaining, it's better than a poke in the eye from a garage sale.

I see that the 7 piece PB Swiss slotted screwdriver set (in gold) is down to $25.74 on Amazon.

Of course, everybody and his dog has way more of these screwdrivers than they can ever use. I suppose it would make a good Christmas gift.

Down to $25.10

If there is anyone still wanting a 7 piece set of flex head Gearwrenches, NAPA has them on sale for $34.99 in SAE or Metric as part of the 4th quarter real deals flyer.

I stopped by NAPA on the way home and these wrenches look really well constructed, with a COO of Taiwan. The sales guy said the price is less than NAPA pays for them. Before seeing this sale, I was going to buy the non-flex head set at Sears next time they went on sale or one of the HF ratcheting sets since they seem to get good reviews here, but these seem more versatile. Is this an incredible deal on a great set of wrenches, or am I missing something?

It IS an incredible deal. I've had my set for maybe 5 years now, zero issues.

Just bought a bag of Blackhawk USA made 3/8 drive sockets for $ 14.95 at KMS tools in Coquitlam. 30 pieces total. full set of SAE shallow, full set of deep less two smaller ones, couple of spark plug sockets and a half dozen or so spares. Took about half hour rummaging through the discount section to find them all.

I just picked up that set myself the other day. I didn't even take notice it's missing a 12mm. I didn't own any metric impacts so for 20 bucks why not?

hello all I was at a local home depot looking at shelving and then wondered into the shop vac isle and was looking at rigid shop vacs (my fav mfr) I was looking for a small portable model that wold not be to bulky to cary with me for long periods of time and would get small jobs done fast rather than dragging out the big guns.

Well I was getting ready to leave empty handed when I saw a small model that I had seen in center isle earlyer. This model bosts a 3 gal cap with a 3.5peak horse. PERFECT! I looked at the little guys price and almost fell over myself and had to beg the girlfreiend to let me have one. He is on closeout and at my local store (Pickerington at brice road and 70) he was a entire 25 dollars comparatively to his 45 dollar price tag weeks before.

Now dont get me wrong. this little guy wont clear a flooded basement and wont do contractor grade work all day without needing emptied a ton of times but I was impressed when I got him home and plugged him in. He comes with the 1-7/8" premium coil back hose. and a "car nozzel"

I would without a doubt say that he works just as well as my 14gal shopvac ultra quiet series wich breeths through a 2-1/2" hose and still isnt as good as this little guy. He is light weight and gets small jobs done fast. Perfect for someone looking for that go-to vac for around the house cleanups.

Check it out! http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs...-1&catalogId=10053&MERCH=REC-_-product-3-_-16

Thanks

A set of three Felo Insulated pliers is $34 on Amazon right now. That seems like a really good deal.

Check 'em out HERE.

There is a pic HERE, down the page a bit. They are supposed to be the insulated ones (orange and yellow handle).

EDIT: back to $90

Yeah that price is crazy, but did you notice that it says that is for one box of SIX? If that is true, that is an amazing deal (if you need six breaker bars...).

Somebody saw your post and bought them! I expect they will be showing up in the Classified section shortly!!

HEY, OSH is giving $10 off $30 with this printout coupon:

Hot deal from the past

I found a deal on all2tools.com, the internet side of a local Englewood Park independent hardware store in their clearance section: NOS USA locking pliers from LeverWrench. I bought a few, they arrived quickly and look great for their age. 1980 is the only date on the card pack. They're auto-adjusters and easy release, not the most comfortable or nicest locking pliers I own (hat tip to Grip-On) but they seem to do fine. Interestingly, the largest are laminated construction pliers with a big groove in the jaws. 6 pliers delivered next day (your shipping time will vary) for $46, they charge standard UPS ground rates without a discount it seems. They look to have quite a bit of SK in their catalog too, I can see myself buying from these guys again. They packed with the New York Times and it didn't smell of smoke, pretty classy.

The Wilton vice at the top of the page for $5 will probably end up at $16 by their shipping scale, fyi. Not labeled as a Wilton, but pictured.

Awesome coupon. I look forward to passing it at Home Depot.

That website looks like it has some good deals, but it is absolutely horrible. The person that built that should be kicked in the nuts. I take it there is no way to tell how much shipping is going to be on an order before finalizing your order.

You could call them and ask or use a ups.com calculator, but no they don't offer shipping charge indication on the site. They didn't email me a final invoice or a tracking number but I got it next day, didn't feel like driving to their shop. The website is exceptionally crappy but a deal is a deal.

Put the Craftsman tool bags in my cart, but web site is hanging on my signin.

I'm thinking they gave away the 13" bag as a promo last year. Seems kind of a handy way to keep tools sorted out.

it was funky for me too when i tried sears.com, thats why i went through craftsman which went through without a hitch. Try removing/re-adding or simply try the different website.

Craftsman 13" and 18" tool bag combo 9.99. It appears to be an error on sears' website unless i'm mistaken [normally $20, sometimes on sale for $15]. Its an item available for pickup in store so no shipping.

Has good reviews so for $10 i picked up a set

http://www.craftsman.com/shc/s/ProductDisplay?partNumber=00937537000P&storeId=10155&catalogId=12602

It's been on sale at my local Sears for $10 for a couple weeks now. The bag really is nothing special, very cheap, once I handled it in person I passed even at $10.

Does anyone know if the Fox Valley timing lights on that site are any good?

Can you post op the scanable coupon for the cart?

Here's the coupon:

http://images.harborfreight.com/hftweb/homebanner/dealcoupons/images/coupon101010.jpg

But, you don't want that, except as a backup.

Now, here's the link to the website, no coupon required:

http://www.harborfreight.com/580-lb-capacity-four-drawer-roller-cart-95659.html

You need to print the website listing for the cart, and print one of these:

http://www.hayabusa.org/forum/attac...17-harbor-freight-coupons-1162885982_hf20.jpg

That's a never-expiring 20% off coupon.

Take the website print to the store, ask them to pricematch, then use the 20% off coupon.

They won't give you the 20% off of a coupon, but they've ALWAYS pricematched for me, and then allowed me to use the coupon, as the pricematch isn't a coupon itself.

Then you get the cart for $80, instead of $100.

i have a pair of diehard steel toe work boots i got last year, very uncomfortable to the point where you need to invest in padded insoles which defeats the purpose of the cheapness of them. They pale in comparison to my magnums.
