hmmm i think those qualify as warranty abuse lol

"The wrenches have been modified, typically on the box end, by grinding the end down to fit in tight places. The wrenches may have letters scribed into the handle."

I don't see how these modified wrenches would have an warranty. It would certainly use up any brownie points you had with the truck tool guy.

OTOH if they go cheap a set of clearanced wrenches wouldn't be bad to own.

No coupons for any heaters, but today in the newspaper here in minnesota they sent out a sheet of coupons. They included $20 off a purchase of $100 or more and a bunch of cheap stuff under ten dollars like a die grinder or a four ton torin jack

I found the ad by going to Northern's site, then located my store and viewed its current ad.

Bosch 18 volt combo for $199. Anyone have this? If so how is it? I'm debating between this, Dewalt and Makita. Or possibly going 12 volt for around the house.

I have that exact combo. It is well worth $200, though when I clicked on the link it showed $279? I bought it last January I believe as it was a leftover from the holidays. Lowes around here does not normally stock that set. It was $199 at the time and I was able to use a Harbor Freight coupon to bring it down to $160. Both the drill and impact are heavy duty.

I selected store pick up but it says "not available for purchase at this time."

It says it won't be ready for pick up until 6-8 days, so that's probably why I can't buy it now.

Too bad cuz that's a good deal.

Same here, so I just ordered the intermediate chest.

Bosch power tools have been nothing short of great in my experience. I had one of the 12v little drills and I liked that little thing. It was not an impact version but it worked nicely and was so light-weight. I had no problem using it to hang some boards of sheetrock. Man it sure does help when you don't have to have a heavy drill that you are holding up for a good while when screwing in the ceiling.

Picked up the same kit and with some adapters to turn my chrome stuff. Very lightweight and very comfortable to use. Use the impact driver on small easy to reach fasteners and to run up lug nuts, its been a godsend so far and recommend it to anybody looking for inexpensive cordless tools for light duty stuff.

Yep...had to take it to Customer Service and told them that I was about to buy a drill at HF with the coupon (not really) and that I would spend my money at Lowes if they matched. They took the coupon as it was for an item (cordless drill) that both stores sell. Yes, HF does not sell Bosch, but they sell drills. If I tried to use it on a sheet of drywall it would not have gone so well:)

 I've never even heard of doing something like that. There's a bench I've been wanting to get there. I might have to try this now

I got a set for our robotics team so each student can have a pair, and if they get lost, no biggie.

Got mine today. They are too small diameter. If you have big ear canals like I do, they don't seal. Might be why they are on sale. Standard foam ones seal just fine, but I can't get these to seal. I've had trouble with fluted rubber plugs in the past, but took a gamble. Still, for $8 I got 50 neat little parts holders and 50 red plastic strings.

Or, who wants to buy a box of 49? Only $7.83! :lol_hitti
