Through the 12th, Blain's Farm and Fleet has the Drill Dr 500X for $99. That is in the stores. I know it's cheaper on Amazon, but many folks still don't do internet purchasing. There is a coupon that you mail in and they send you a voucher for a free replacement diamond wheel.

Is there any difference between this and the larger battery version, other than ampacity and color ?

Yes there is a difference. I have both the set on sale and the larger batter set with the hammer drill. You get about 40-50% more life per charge out of the bigger batteries. But they also take longer to charge. All in all its still a good deal either way, both have amazing battery life, and assuming the batteries arent too warm they will charge in less than 15 minutes. Just a few weeks ago I ran that same drill from the sale non stop drilling through 10 gauge aluminum for over 4 hours with only short breaks in between, it was running for at least 3 and a half hours of that 4 hours. Several hundred holes later I didnt have to stop once to wait for a battery to be charged. And with all of the drilling they had to go through a cool down cycle on the charger before they could be charged. I tested that tool to the limit that day but it still works like the day I bought it.

The biggest advantage in my mind to the white set is the size. I use my white set for automotive installation purposes and my blue set for construction/household things where you dont have limited spaces. The bigger hammer drill version has a bit more power than the white one but compared to the non hammer drill version that I use at work they are equal as far as torque. For household use and even for commercial use they will stand up to the challenge.

Yep, the refund for both my orders was done (paypal). Also, received an email :

Unfortunately yesterday during the time that your order was placed our server had a major clutch which caused the web to display erroneous inventory and price information. On some the inventory counts were wrong on others the prices displayed were wrong and in violation of manufacture Minimum Advertized Price rules and we are forbidden by the manufacturers to let these items go at these prices. As such we are having to credit all orders placed during the hours that our server was down.

I realize that this is an inconvenience to you and sincerely apologize.

As an expression of apology we will be issuing coupons to each email address from which orders must be canceled.

Kind Regards

Armstrong 15-199 50 piece 1/4 6 point socket set for a buy it now price of $55 dollars on Ebay.

Link to it here with more than 10 available.http://cgi.ebay.com/Armstrong-15-199-50-Piece-1-4-Drive-6-Point-Socket-Set-/330505495162?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cf3a9a27a

I purchased the same set late last year from another vendor for 100 bucks and this set usually retails for around $120 to $130 from what I remember.

It is a good little set and comes with the newer Armstrong Maxx fine tooth ratchets.

BTW I have no affiliation with the vendor other than I have recently purchased a set of combo wrenches from him. Shipping was quick as well.

That is not true at all. MAP pricing is the minimum advertised price. They can choose to sell the product at whatever price level they desire so long as it does not constitute predatory pricing. They just have to advertise a price at or above a certain level, selling is a completely different ball game.

Those cantilever boxes sure are made weird, they don't really seal up at all, bugs, water, dirt, all will be inside if exposed.

RIDGID 24 Volt Combo Kit 3 Piece - Hammer Drill, Saw, flashlight and bag.

$192 with coupon CYBER2, $199 otherwise.

Not sure if it's available in store; if so, the HF 20% coupon could probably be used.
