Yes, they are aware. This came up a few months ago. I emailed them a couple of times about it, and got a response that they'd look into it. They have never changed the description, even now when putting them on sale again. They just don't seem to give a ****.
Well, someone knows about the error, but not the appropriate departments.
This happens at Sears all the time - their webteam and their sales/marketing team evidently never communicate with each other. They'll advertise an "all Gearwrench on sale" promo, and only some Gearwrench tools will be on sale. "All storage and organization accessories on sale" means "some on sale." More recently, there were banner ads and text mentions of a 10-15% off sale, and the sale never went live.
These larger retailers have such complex inner workings that one hand doesn't ever know what the second hand is doing. In this case, the people able to change the product description either don't know to do so, or haven't been told to do so.
