They claim its OOS, and refer all comment to finditparts. Waste of time, not amusing enough to repeat soon.

Can anyone comment on the quality (or lack thereof) regarding the US general 11 drawer cabinet pictured in the advertisement a few posts up? Does the 20% coupon work on that too?

This one is junk. The drawer slides are sheet metal on sheet metal. No rollers and no nylon between the sliders. They are cheap and will surely not last with tools in the drawer. The red cabinets are the good ones. I got the seven drawer side cabinet and it is great.

I'm starting to wonder if the misprinted price was intentional to simply add e-mails to their mailing list or something. Once ok that happens, but the second time wouldn't they have multiple people checking to make sure it's right? :headscrat

I don't think this is a new policy.

Once I was at Home Depot with a printed out Lowes 10% off coupon. They were refusing to take it as they know people just keep printing them and have no way of verifying if they had been used at Lowes (or Home Depot for that matter) already. I was pushing it as I had about $400 worth of siding materials. As I was standing there in a tank top (not wife beater) with a tattoo on my right outer shoulder of an eagle holding a flag, she said "you seem like a military guy who'd be getting 10% anyway" to which I said "you're right" and she just punched it in without proof. That was to end the incident and give me the 10% that I wanted. I have never attempted to do that, but it just happened that time, initiated by the cashier.

Just FYI for you older folks, I doubt they'd question you if you said you forgot whatever piece of ID at home.

So you are telling people to go around telling people they are in the military to get a discount? Nice, real classy. I bet if you had some military in your family they would be pround.

Nope, not saying that at all. Just pointing out that they don't have to enter the ID code (or whatever) which may be on the card. I won't be comment on this specific topic again if you insist on replying.

It would seem that they are also collecting a good deal of C.C. numbers every time they pull this ****.

Hot deal:

PBtoolsus.com, the official PBswiss site is having a black friday 1-day only sale which is 30% off your entire order. This brings the cost of many of their items below the cost on amazon.com It's also good for their more unusual items that you cannot even find on amazon. You all might want to check it out...(at least you know you won't be getting knock offs or factory seconds :) )

Tax in GA and...
Shipping costs are:

Order Total Shipping Cost
$0.01 - $25 $6.75
$25.01 - $99.99 $11.75
$100 - $500 $14.75
$500.01 - $1000 $17.75
$1000.01 and up $25.75

Isn't it PBtools.us ? Also I don't see any mention of the 30% off sale.

Yes, that is the correct website. The BF notification came through an email update from PB Swiss. I didn't see the sale either, so it's possible it will pop-up on BF.

Some of us who actually did our time in the Military have a very low opinion of those who claim to have served but didnt. Only a piece of garbage would do that...

On a lighter note... I found a pretty good deal at lowes.

$69.99 for a Bosch 12 Volt driver. I used to have one of these a while back and its a great little tool for general household use. It also works great for when you have to hang some drywall, especially on the ceiling and its light weight keeps you from getting as tired as with a heavy 18v drill. I found its also good for putting cabinets together and stuff like that where you don't need as much power but portability and small size are important. Now if you happened to have a coupon lying around that would make the deal even sweeter...

Not sure if this is the correct place for this but I was in our local Home Depot Sunday.

Stumbled onto an employee who was working on the power tool displays. She had a flatbed full of stuff she was prepping for clearance, all kind of goodies too. She said they were getting rid of all the display models, that were being replaced. I was looking through it all and there wasn't much that I needed on the cart. There was a DeWalt 18v drill with two batteries and charger, reduced to $90. A BIG Milwaukee sawzall reduced to $75, not the standard one, it still had the original tag that showed $199. A lot of other stuff, but nothing that I needed, or already didn't have two of. DeWalt, Ryobi, Ridgid... the ususal Home Depot fare.

But then I spotted a Lincoln wire welder. It was the WeldPak 100 HD display unit, and it was marked $100. I asked her about it and she told me they didn't have the box or any of the accessories. I asked her if that was the final price, and she offered it to me for $75. So I snatched it up and brought it home. Even comes with the factory three year warranty, just gotta go online and register it! The Weld Pak is a flux wire unit, but I found the mig gas conversion kit online for $100, and a new gun online for $85. HF has a ground clamp for $6, so all I need is some ground cable. Not bad for a total investment of about $290. About 5 years ago I took advantage of a sweet deal through work for my Lincoln 135 Plus w/cart for $400. And I know that was a good deal, so I made out ok on this one. I didn't really need another welder, but you never know when you need a backup.

Keep your eyes peeled at the local Home Depot, she told me they were doing this at a lot of stores before the holiday season.

Just curious... my brother served in the service for over 7 years and still a reservist now. I wear his jacket because it's warm and cool looking. If anyone ever ask, I always say I'm not in the military, it's my bros. I don't wear it anymore as it got torn, but what do you Military guys feel about Civies wearing a military jacket? I'll never take a military discount though.

I have given my dad old uniform items. He wears them riding his Harley and working on stuff. As long as there is no rank and you are not wearing them to try and make people think you are in the military, most I know would not have a problem with it. Especially if it is your brothers jacket.

I can really only think of two times I would be pissed about civilians wearing military uniforms as long as there is no rank on it. First would be some one trying to pass themselves off as military, for example to get a discount at Lowes. Second would be rappers/emo kids that think it is stylish. That really pisses me off.

Back on topic, this may have been posted, but I've been away awhile. Does anyone know if HF will take the 20% coupon on the tool cart on Black Friday? It's already down to $140 I think, and $110 would be killer.
