This one?

The tools are pretty decent. They're not top-of-the-line in terms of features or bells and whistles, but they're good for the money. I reviewed the 3pc Li-ion kit. I believe the drill in the Li-ion kit a more "compact" version with a less powerful motor, but the saws seem to be identical.

Worst case scenario, Amazon has a great return policy, or you can pick it up at a local Lowes. I'd rank this set on par with Craftsman C3, maybe even a bit higher, and definitely ahead of Ryobi's One+ 18V starter set.

I know this isn't tool related, but I'm sure most of us *use* tools for it...

If anyone uses Mobil1 oil, Advance has it for $4/qt. online. For the weights not available in 5qt. jugs at Wal-Mart (like 0w-40), that is half off.

Show me where please.
On sale, the 10" is $24, the 7" are $20. So buy only the on sale 10" then. My store did not have the singles on sale, but the 2 pc set was.

Pep Boys also has a deal on complete oil packages - 5qts with filter.
Pennzoil.

Saturday 11/27 only. $8 but you have to do the mail-in rebate thing.

It might be only in the morning too. I got the Castrol deal for $6 but that already ended this morning.

Is this over? They are all mainly showing up as $7.99 quart for me.

The limit is forced, but the limit is on an individual order, nothing stops you from going back on and ordering more.

Yep, I ordered some 0w40 for one car and then decided it was too good to pass up and placed a second order of 10w40hm for another car. I thought maybe each weight was considered a different product, but I guess it could just be per order.

Fwiw, I picked them up at the same time at the same store and nobody questioned it at all.

Reminder that your local Ace flyers should have a 50% off one regular priced item under $30 -- for tomorrow only. Some deals could be had I'm sure...

Does any one know what sort of Knipex (if any) Ace generally stocks? I haven't set foot in one in years...

What's the quality like on this one? I just found the original one we had from the 80's and it's built tough. Can't image that the case anymore at these prices, but who knows :dunno:
My father's from the 90s is awesome. The new ones are... questionable. I've seen them at $15/20 a few times, and couldn't bring myself to buy one.

Picked up the Big Lots Skill X-Bench workstation. Was 69 bux in store plus tax brought it to 75.

They only had 2 in stock at my location. I got there right when it opened and it was sold out immediately.

My Big Lots had a pallet of Xbenches this am. I was concerned that this was the same model that Lowes and Amazon are selling because of the low price of $69. The model number at Lowes and amazon is 3100-12 and in Big lots it is just 3100. The web site at skil only shows 3100-12. I downloaded the manual from Skil and checked the manual that came in the one I bought from Big Lots and they are both manuals for the 3100. I guess they are exactly the same but the 3100-12 may have an extra clamp block or something.

Upon first inspection I am pleased. One thing I noted was a discrepancy in weight capacity. Both manuals claim that the table is capable of holding 250 pounds. In the you tube video produced by skil they claim in bold type that the table holds 750 pounds.

Anyways I think this could be a very useful table and it appears at first glance to be pretty robust.

Ace carries a few Knipex SKU's. The smaller ones come in under $30.

This coupon is a good deal.

They could both be "true". Its fail load may be 750 lbs, but a 3 to 1 safety factor puts it at 250 lbs.

Just thinking aloud.

Currently $20.75, doesn't sound like a bad price to me.

Do they put your oil aside, waiting for you to show up or do you have to pull it from the shelves? I can see me showing up and them not having my stuff unless they pull it ahead of time (like Sears).

I've ordered on-line from Advance before and my stuff was waiting for me (about 6 hours lead time).

For the Mobil1 I bought yesterday, I went over in about 40 minutes and the clerk pulled it from the back and from the shelf while I waited.

Advance's system is supposed to know about in-store inventory. Give it a chance. It's worth the $$ for building a small, personal inventory of Mobil1.

Skil X-bench workstation back down to $99 on Amazon since last night. It's no Big Lots deal, but it's not bad. Also on sale at $93.71 at SkilShop.com, free shipping, don't know about the tax situation.

I haven't seen the HD B&D Workmate in person, can't vouch for quality, but I was thinking about it for a while. I'm sure like most things in the new B&D line, it's ok but not great.

Went to order some stuff from Sears and HD last night, Sears account won't let me login, so I didn't buy their 31-in two-tier service cart that was marked at $39 but came up in the cart at $49 yesterday. Marked at $49 today. I got tired of the hassle and went to HF instead, got their service cart, a couple workmate clones and some hammers and stuff to round out their free shipping deal. I've got a Craftsman badge for the service cart already, neither of them are exceptionally well reviewed but I'm not too hard on carts so I figure it's ok for the home garage.

not bad for $15. i'm lucky to have an ace about 3 minutes away. i'd go to another ace and use the coupon again but the next nearest is about 20-25 minutes away and i don't wanna waste the gas.
thanks once again to gj for making my pockets a little lighter. lol
