Mine arrived today, and it was only 1 plier! Not a bowl. :(

This pair is definitely not worth the price to ship it to me.

Jim

I sent them a note explaining the problem. I am sure they will make it right somehow. Oh well !

Cheers!

Jim

LOL, that's exactly what I just got too. Well, time to start the dispute process.

These "too good to be true" deals are always risky but it's still fun to give them a try.

I ordered the 30 pc bowl also and just received a single plier. In all my conformation emails it clearly states 30 piece mini plier bowl.

You have been charged for the following items shipped today:

Wilmar W1132-30 30 Piece Mini Plier Bowl
Sold by: Tool King
Condition: new
Quantity: 1
$1.99 each
Item subtotal: $1.99

I've never had to return anything to Amazon. Who do you contact? Amazon or Tool King?

I've also gotten a dozen SPAM emails since I ordered this item.

Call their customer service line. They're very helpful. There should be a return label they'll have you print to return it once you call them. They'll either ship you another item with all included or return your funds after a few days. I had one item they kept sending me with the same part number as a Gearwrench tool. After sending the same wrong part two times I just asked for a refund and they did it. I've had to do their return service two or three times. On all occasions I've had no problems.

Almost all of those 90%-off items are full price, with exaggerated list prices. =(

Patience, young grasshopper.

Some of my best tool deals came from that search. Of course you have to know your prices and research your item numbers.

Patience also pays off. I assembled a set of Beta metric sockets (43) in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drives. Total cost was $94.93. Sure, it took me 3 months but I saved a ton and scored many other nice tools in the process.

Equus auto-ranging DMM on sale, $15 on Amazon. They usually sell it for about $18, Walmart sells it for $27. I have one of these, it's a decent meter, can't really complain at the price. I did wind up with one that didn't function after a while, took it to Walmart and they replaced it, I didn't want to abide by their mail-in warranty service.

Victorinox Swiss Army Knife Ranger + Classic Keychain Knife combo for $30. The ranger itself is ~$35 and the classic $11-13.

Edit: dead deal.

Apples and oranges Joe. Even the free one at HF is nothing in comparison to the better ones from HF.

Snap on 30ft retractable cord reel with fluorescent light at Costco for $30. Usually $40, but there was a $10 instant discount. I'm sure it's rebadged, but still a good deal. At the Costco in Santa Clara, Ca and there was a whole pallet of them.

I believe it looks something like this:

No, I only snagged the 8" set. I want another brand for the 10" and possibly 14".
I saw an Irega 10" for $14 earlier, but it has since jumped to $26. There's a 12" currently at about $26, and a 15" at $26.

I'll keep my eyes open for other brands. I added the 8" Proto to my cart and then finally pulled the trigger from my phone. Worst case scenario, I know my father's been looking for a new adjustable. Well, not looking, but I know he needs one.

Reminder - Sears F&F 10% discount on tools, right now.

Oh yeah, no doubt, but it will probably do the job for 90% of the guys on here. I returned one this week. I put the probes in to test a wall outlet on my kitchen countertop, and when i pulled the black probe out of the wall, the tip stayed in and the black plastic probe holder separated from the test end. It is not my Fluke 88 or my fluke 70 Series III, but I use it all around the house when i am too lazy to dig the other ones out. At this price (free), i leave one in the basement, one in the kitchen drawer, one in the garage, one in the jeep, and one in my electrical-work tool box. Print out the coupon, and go back again and again.

I got that one at Costco today, the cord reel is very nice, light seems good but it flickers a few times before it goes on, but it has turned on every time and has a rubber bumper to keep it from rolling around or scratching the plastic lens. It has 30ft of 14 gage cord and the plug has a lock so that the light does not fall off, it is made in Indonesia. For $30 it was hard not to pick one up.

They are supposed to flicker. It is a fluorescent bulb which takes a bit for the ballast to fully charge. That is completely normal for all brands.

This one seems to flicker more than the average fluorescent though a blue flash then a orange one, it might take it 5 or 6 seconds from turning on the switch to white light.

That lamp and the whole Costco/Sears/Amazon Snap-On line is licensed and imported by Alltrade tools. I've seen the lamps (cord-free versions) before and they look okay, and at $30 you're not getting a bad deal on the surface but you can do better in Sears on a sale if Craftsman suits your fancy. Not today of course.

Alltrade will slap the Snap-On name on nearly anything. Pneumatic nailer and a pancake compressor? Check. Gimmicky stocking stuffer knives and multitools? Check. Low grade spackling tools? Got that too. Generator? You know it. I picked up a Snap-On anti-fatigue mat at Sears this week from Alltrade and it looks nice, won't get my driver Super Frank to come over though.

Do those cheap multimeters have the proper insulation for people to be sticking them into a wall outlet?
